For Those Tougher Cases
A very good formula meant for using as a shampoo, but can also be used as a body wash. It’s a very dense and creamy substance with a light minty scent that I find to be rather pleasant smelling. It’s bright white in color. Though thick, it is on the runny side. Feels good as you massage this into your scalp. Lathers rather well and feels good as it sits on the head. When I use a better scalp shampoo like this, I like to let it sit for a good 15 minutes before I do my final rinsing. That allows time for it to settle into my scalp and work its magic. Granted, I’ve never even had dandruff ever in my life, but I’m finding I love how a good scalp shampoo makes my scalp look and feel so much cleaner and healthier. Also helps to soothe any itching that I might be suffering from at the time. From my experience, it seems to be very effective.Love that this contains zinc, a mineral that I tend to sometimes be lacking and often need to boost up on. All in all, this shampoo thoroughly balances my scalp and hair as it leaves them very clean. Makes my hair feel quite soft and smooth and easy to manage. Removes any excess oils that I sometimes suffer from, but does not dry out my scalp or hair. Really does a good job at unclogging the pores so that my scalp can fully breathe. It offers all of the good without any of the bad. Seems like this would be very good for those with more severe cases of various types of scalp issues. And again, can be used as a body wash to help soothe problems that you might be suffering from elsewhere.At $24.99 (today’s price) for an 8 fluid ounce bottle, I do find this shampoo to be on the pricey side, but you are getting so much more than just another bottle of shampoo. Look at this as being medicine for the scalp and you’ll know that this is going to be worth so much more for those especially in need of a good scalp shampoo.Made in the USA.

Not an effective product for the money
I chose this after my previous shampoo (Vanicream) was out of stock. It is difficult to find 2% Pyrithione Zinc, especially without a bunch of other stuff added that I don’t want for my sensitive scalp. Unfortunately I have found that this shampoo is not as effective as my previous product, which is frustrating as it is pretty expensive. My scalp now hurts, so I won’t be buying this product again. For the record, it does lather some, but I didn’t notice much of a scent though the ingredients include peppermint oil.

Max % of pyrithione zinc, sweet peppermint scent
Noble Formula 2% Pyrithione Zinc Shampoos is a good quality anti-fungal, anti-dandruff shampoo made in the USA. The ingredients are pretty basic, no fancy oils or acids, but are still effective. It has a higher percentage of the active ingredient, pyrithione zinc, than any other shampoo I’ve seen. Google tells me it is the maximum percentage without a prescription. It is opaque white and has a thinner consistency and a sweet peppermint scent. It dried and stripped my hair more than I like, but my scalp felt clean and I had no flakes. The price seems higher than similar products, making it not the best value.I have thin, fine, dry, curly hair and a scalp that is sensitive and prone to flaking. After consulting my dermatologist I started using shampoo with pyrithione zinc. I ordered Noble Formula 2% Pyrithione Zinc Shampoo to see how it compared to my usual shampoo.The shampoo is similar to my usual dandruff shampoo in that it is an opaque white liquid. Noble has a thinner consistency and a sweet peppermint scent. The lather was nice and dense, but it took more of the shampoo to cover my whole scalp and work into the rest of my hair than I expected, not an exceptionally large amount, I just had to go back for a third serving of it when I didn’t expect to. I left it on a few minutes, because I know you are supposed to do that when using pyrithione zinc. The instructions do not tell you to do this, though.The Noble Formular Shampoo has double the zinc pyrithione than my usual shampoo and most standard shampoos on the market. Google tells me that 2% is the maximum percentage you can buy without a prescription. I assume this means it is likely significantly more effective than the others.Beyond that the other ingredients are a bit disappointing. The second ingredient is sodium laureth sulfate, which I try to avoid because it tends to be harsh for dry curly hair. Pn the one hand it likely will strip off all of the product build up, but it can strip all the good stuff too. The rest of the ingredients are basic and manmade chemical based. There aren’t any of the trendy oils or acids that most hair care products currently include, and not a trace of an ingredient with an easily identifiable source like a fruit or flower, etc. That’s fine, but I prefer products with some of those ingredients. So, it’s a trade off between the higher dose of the pyrithione zinc and trendy or recognizable ingredients.The shampoo left my hair feeling a little stripped and dry, but not to the straw level. It can be a good thing to strip off the hair product build up every once in a while, and a good dose of my usual conditioner fixed it all up, but I wouldn’t use this shampoo every day.I like that this shampoo is made in the US. It increases my confidence in the quality. Despite the good quality and effectiveness, this is not my favorite dandruff shampoo. It just doesn’t have any of the ingredients I prefer, aside from the pyrithione zinc, and it’s a little too drying for me to use it too often. It would be a good option if you are looking for a basic dandruff shampoo with double the active ingredient of other shampoos, except that there are less expensive options available. I am giving this shampoo 4 stars because it is good quality and effective, it just isn’t for me.

Pepperminty shampoo
I used a product recently that ended up irritating my scalp pretty badly. I wasn’t sure if this shampoo would do anything, but I was pleasantly surprised it helped.It looks and smells like melted mint ice cream. One of the ingredients is peppermint oil. It lathered fine, and the mint gives a slight tingle.Directions say to simply lather, rinse, repeat but I left it on for a minute. Followed with my normal conditioner.My hair came out clean and soft and there was no residue. My scalp I noticed throughout the day felt a lot more soothed than it had prior to washing with this. I also noticed the mint scent didn’t linger once dry, which was nice. I’m happy.
