I started to ‘embrace the dome’ in 2014, when I was Active Duty and came home after getting my weekly haircut. I was only slightly surprised that I was thin on top. The traditional (if it can be called traditional) haircut in the Cavalry was the ‘Horse Shoe’. Clippers were ran close to the skin at the highest point of the head, and then the high & tight was finished off that.But, I digress.I promptly went out and bought a name-brand corded set of clippers. I have been using said clippers for 11 years. They did the job, but were showing wear – and I had dropped them enough that the case was racked and glued more than once.SO – I decided to treat myself to a high end set of clippers/trimmers. I am a wet shaver and have not been to a barber in 11 years (save for the rare hot shave because gentleman). I had my eyes on Baybliss and was waiting for a good deal – but those are rather expensive.These came up and the deal was just too good to pass up. I paid 79 bucks for this set on a deal.WHAT A DEAL INDEED!Very well made. Everything you need, including a cape and a small bottle of oil to get you started. And do they do the job right and proper. I use trimmers between wet shaves, and these did not disappoint – they impress. Right out of the box. A dab of Clippercide (best stuff ever) and I was in business. I had intentionally let the scruff grow so I could test the trimmers. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed is an understatement. The clippers are equally solid. I can now shave my head in almost half the time with these over my old and tired corded set.I have asked barbers at the military barber shop on post many times what they prefer for their daily use setup. If something like this existed – especially for this price – back then, I am sure they would have these in every bay. Hands down the best investment I have made in my grooming kit.They have a nice heft but are not heavy. Feels solid in the hand and easy to maneuver for those that ‘cut’ their own hair. Fantastic guard selection. Included charging cables are icing on the cake. Well packaged. My only complaint – and I would have HAPPILY paid for it if offered – is that there is no included stand/charging station. However, I feel that this is a non-issue. im not even gonna lie… this bih kinda fire. It arrived, and inside the box I got a free one year warranty which I activated by contacting their customer support. Their customer support was extremely prompt and helpful. I think gave myself a low taper and lined my self up and everything went according to plan! I accidently gave my self a bald spot- but that’s not on the trimmer. if anything that goes to show how effective the trimmer is. overall 9 out of 10 experience and I reccomend purchasing for beginner barbers and anyone who cuts themselves!

Now the best clippers I’ve ever used
I was initially impressed when I opened the box and felt the clippers, they feel sturdy and high quality. I oiled them up as per the instructions and they came with a full charge so I was eager to try them out. The beard trimmers felt sharp and worked really well, although it did nick me a couple times, I was happy with them and the reason for the 2 stars. On to the main event the hair clippers. I attached the 1 guard and started on the sides of my head and immediately it started pulling and not cutting. I thought I did something wrong, so i reattached the guard and tried with both the on setting and the turbo setting and it would only pull. I have fairly thin hair and the area i was trimming was only about 1 inch in length, my other cheap clipper that I had for years and the battery wouldn’t hold a charge anymore that I got these to replace had no problems. I tried adjusting the screws on the back and checking the blades positioning and no matter what I did I couldn’t get them to cut properly. I wasted about 2 hours tinkering with it. Very disappointed.**UPDATE**The company reached out to my review within a couple days and asked me if I would like a refund or a replacement, I wanted the replacement, the replacement clipper arrived within the week. 5/5 Customer Service. This clipper works perfectly it cuts smoothly and sharp. I really like this set and my review would’ve been a 5/5 if this was the first one I received and you can’t expect every product to be perfect everytime but maybe there is some room in their company to be a little stricter on quality control. Overall it’s a really nice set and I would buy from them again in the future knowing they care and stand behind their products.

Top tier set!
I waited a few days before opening. I forgot I may need to charge them before cutting my grandkids hair. Right out of the box, the trimmers had 90% charge and the clippers were at 79%. I still charged them with their individual charging cords. Both clippers came with their own sets of guards as well, and the set came with a cleaning brush and oil. It suggested that I oil them before I each use, so after I’d charged for less than an hour to 100%, I oiled them. They were so quiet and peaceful and cut so well that both my grandsons (who typically squirm and pull away from the clipper part of the haircut) were unphased! I love the two speeds on the clippers. It made short work on their hair. My biggest test was how the trimmers worked. The last thing I want to do is knick any part of the boys ears or neck when cleaning up the hairline, and it was a painless breeze! When I text the number for the warranty, I received a personal response via text message and we text back and forth for a bit. I felt like they actually cared about customer service and that I was happy with my purchase. I’ve had my cosmetology license for over 30 years and used many types of clippers. I switched to this company and so far, I’m glad I did!

I’m no barber but i wanted a decent set for my lining up my beard and keeping up with my tapers in between haircuts.They work great and blew my expectations by so many levels. I’ve had them for 2 years now and probably charged them maybe 3 times and use both at least twice a week.Reliable even going unoiled for a longer periods of time they still cut just as good as the first time.They have a great design as far as looks go and feel great in your hand.Ditch the cheap WAHL trimmers and spend another $30-$40 it’s totally worth it.

Let me preface this review with I’m not a barber but I believe there’s a few people whom once you find a good one you keep. Your doctor, your mechanic and your barber.My hair grows a bit weird, especially in the back. I found myself going to my barber once a week and while he didn’t charge me I would tip him for the 5 minutes to fade my hair back to looking good in between haircuts.Being a busy guy I said hey appreciate you doing this but would you recommend I pick up a trimmer? Noticing his desk is full of Andis, limited edition BaBylissPro clippers and some custom crazy T blade trimmers I said under $100 preferably. He mentioned Novah. They’re a plastic bodied BaBylissPro basically with more budget friendly parts that are fine for your average joe.Upon using both clippers and trimmers the only thing I can say is the knurling on the body could be more pronounced, I noticed it wanting to slip out of my hand especially because of the top being heavy instead of the body. This also offers a bit less control. However they do the exact job the $250 trimmer my barber uses does.No razor burn. I did accidentally send it into the crease of my ear and freaked out, nothing no pinching or anything. I’m not sure what the turbo mode is for, I kept it on the first level it’s quieter and seems to do a great job.These are sharp, you can easily push your hairline back if you’re not careful. If you’ve never used this style trimmer you’ll be extremely happy with how well it cuts. The clippers give an extremely even cut and the trimmer gives almost a close shave trim without the guard.I’m not sure of the durability yet but the blades seem to be good quality and don’t have any weird casting marks. After 30 minutes of use I didn’t see any wear between the blades. What I did notice is after 30 minutes the battery only dropped 1%. That’s pretty amazing. Being able to plug it into any 5v USB adapter while also accepting the “standard clippers plug” is great.I believe they have a foil shaver and after writing this review I’m going to check and purchase if they do.Very happy. Again only con for me is the texturing could be more aggressive and the clippers could be more balanced to have more control. However I didn’t purchase for the clippers but with the sale you basically got the trimmer for free so I said why not?Will update if something happens but these seem to be very well built, down to the clipper and trimmer guards with stainless clips.
