OGX Repair + Protect Bond Protein repair shampoo and conditioner, this is got to be the best smelling shampoo and conditioner I’ve tried in a long time.Let me get to the quality of the shampoo so my hair is in kind of okay condition my problem is is the water we I just discovered the apartment building I live in actually has well water I’ve always had softeners and and whatnot so my hair has not had to sacrifice for some reason our water had gotten in a bad condition and my hair started to sacrifice I’ve been using all sorts of different shampoos conditioners I’ve spent a lot more money than this product here figuring you know you spend more you get better results or something that’s not always the case when I was younger I always used to use the OGX when it first started out so I thought you know let me go old school let me go back to this one. I had found the repair and protect and bond because it seems like that would be the best for my situation so I wash my hair and I conditioner as normal I leave it in for about 5 to 7 minutes.So as I rinse all this out I’m actually feeling my hair it I can run my fingers through it it feels really nice but that still doesn’t convince me I’m trying to come through my hair and I’ve realizing that I can actually comb through my hair without it feeling absolutely horrendous like it has been feeling. So I get my hair all combed out I usually put my hair down in pigtails because it’s naturally curly so I put it in pigtails and I put it all the way straight to the end so my hair dries straight the less I’d have to put a heating product on it so as I add the pleasure of time and my hair drying I found that this shampoo and conditioner did such a marvelous job on my hair I would like to add another leave-in product but for just being shampoo and conditioner right off the bat it’s remarkable I can’t wait to see what happens with my hair within the next two weeks I will update this review in two more weeks to see about the condition of my hair thank you for taking a moment to read my review I’m sorry it was lengthy but I wanted to give you all the details of my specific situation and how I use this product for myself so my unbiased opinion is just that my own opinion, I hope it helps you well thank you for reading

Caution with thin hair (or maybe it’s just me?)
I bought this since Abby Young recommended it. It smells good, and I do like the shampoo – it feels like it prevents my hair from getting greasy the next day for a bit longer than others I’ve used (thin hair probs). However, I really dislike the conditioner for my (thin/highlighted) hair. It’s not even close to being moisturizing enough. My hair feels dry and somewhat brittle almost immediately, and does not detangle well, even with added leave-in conditioner. I tried again a couple weeks later using a hair mask in the shower after washing this conditioner out, and same result. Maybe if they release another formulation for dryer hair I will try again because I like the bonding idea, but for now I wouldn’t repurchase.

I combined this with the hair oil and heat protectant and after using it a few times my hair is in great condition. I recently decided to stop dying my hair blonde and let it just go white, and it’s very coarse and curly. The blonde ends are very damaged so it was quite a confusing situation in regards to how to treat it all and not break the bank. This is at least as good as Olaplex at a fraction of the cost. I’m going to add the pretreatment as well. Great buy!!
