Very odorous & heavy. Rinse it out! Works well as a detangler and conditioner.
The product title markets this as a “leave in” conditioner, but the intructions state that you can also just use it in the shower and rinse. Greatly suggest that you wash it out. The smell is exceptionally cloying and will overpower any other fragrances, body washes, shampoo, etc. that you use. If you don’t rinse out, you’ll definitely permeate the room. Good or bad, I don’t like being the ‘smelly’ person in the room. Not sure whether this intended for ethnic hair only, but it did not work well on my thick, wavy dense hair. It definitely weighs in down, so if you want bouncy volume, this product is not it. Also not sure whether this is supposed to predominantly be a detangler. Any time you oil down hair, even if just with baby oil, any knots you will have untangle more readily than dry hair. IMO, it’s trying to do too much. It does leave your hair softer though.

As someone with thick, 2C/3A curls, I’m used to venturing outside the “standard” haircare aisle—and often find ethnic hair products work better for my hair texture. While I may not be the target demographic for this product, I gave it a try—and came away with mixed feelings.Let’s talk performance first: I used this on damp hair as a leave-in conditioner and was careful not to follow the recommended amount from the product graphic—that would have been way too much for my hair type. Soft, Defined Curls Without the Tangles
I’ve been using the OLORI Leave-In Conditioner Cream for a few weeks now, and overall I’m impressed. I have thick, curly hair that usually takes forever to detangle, but this cream has definitely made the process faster and a lot less painful. With just a nickel-sized amount worked through damp hair, my wide-tooth comb glides through much easier than before. My curls come out softer, more defined, and noticeably less frizzy.The scent is strong. Like cocoa butter mixed with vanilla. Personally, I like it, but it does linger, so if you prefer unscented products this might not be for you. The texture is rich and creamy, so a little goes a long way. If you use too much, it can weigh your hair down, so I’d recommend starting small and adjusting as you go.I’ve also tried it as a pre-shampoo treatment before taking down braids, and it really did help loosen knots and minimize breakage. The fact that it’s silicone- and paraben-free is another plus for me.At $22, it’s not the cheapest option, but considering how little you need per use, I think the bottle will last a while. For me, it’s worth it for the slip and the moisture it provides. If you have curly or coily hair and struggle with tangles, this product is definitely worth trying.

Works very well for me
As I’ve gotten older my hair has become much more frizzy and coarse so I wanted to try this conditioner to smooth, hydrate and tame it. The first thing I noticed is the cocoa butter scent, love it.I don’t care for the added weight of leave-in conditioners so I’ve used it as a rinse out with pretty good results. I began with less than the recommended amount because tangles aren’t an issue for me. Results were good but not great so I steadily increased the amount until my hair was left feeling fully hydrated but not weighed down by overconditioning. With consistent use, my hair is definitely hydrated and it’s working very well to smooth out the overly coarse texture. My hair feels like it has more weight to it, not because the conditioner weighs is down but because it isn’t a frizzy mess of flyaways. It looks and feels healthier.

Premium, and rich with natural and botanical ingredients
I tested Olori to detangle my hair on one side of my head (moreso than the other) prior to washing it. It did a pretty good job but the benefit was even more evident after my shower, because I used other brand products to wash and condition my hair and the side of my head where I used Olori was still noticeably softer, smoother, less frizzy, more manageable. I thought the Olori would probably all be washed off by the shampooing process. But the stuff seems to be pretty powerful. I can really see how it is going to work for textured hair that wants to be frizzy.The quality of this is lovely, it’s a light textured cream and the smell is, to me, like chocolate, which is unusual for a hair product but enjoyable. This has a fabulous ingredients list with so many natural and herbal ingredients. The price is strictly for people for whom it’s important to have truly premium quality haircare products. The quality really is there. There are other products that do basically the same things and cost a lot less, so the value depends on whether you want the premium version.I and a friend who is experienced with haircutting for her own family are planning a haircutting day at my volunteer job that serves the homeless, it’s a bit of an experiment, we haven’t done this before but we’re excited and the guests of the program I volunteer at express significant interest in the opportunity for a haircut. I expect we’ll be able to use Olori for multiple purposes, either as a detangler (on scissors-cut clients who aren’t getting a clippers cut, since in our situation we can’t wash their hair and I think ANY product would gunk up the clippers) or as a leave-in conditioner, especially if they have frizzy or textured hair. If we have any notable experiences in using Olori I’ll update my review.
