I give up
I am revising my review of this product and downgrading it. This is still a great product. It holds super well with a nice light fragrance of mint. I switched to this product because my hair was just so full of static and I was looking for a solution. Problem solved. It holds very well and my hair doesnt appear to have been sprayed.However, the problem is the spray bottle. I have two bottles of the product that are worthless. They will not pump. If I am lucky enough to get it to spray, I will get one or two sprays then it shoots out in a fire hose type stream. Forget it, this product is not worth it. I will be looking for something else.If they fix this problem it will definitely be a 5-star product. Until then, sayonara.

Best chemical-free hair spray I’ve found
I really love this hair spray. I honestly cannot compare it to mainstream hair spray brands because it has been years (decades even) since I’ve used them, but this is the best chemical-free hair spray I have found. My hair is very thick and medium length. I usually wear my hair down and use hair spray daily to tame fly-aways and keep hair where I want it. This product I would consider a light to medium hold spray. I don’t do up-dos in my hair so I don’t know how well it would hold something like that, but for everyday use it’s great. My hair still has movement and is soft, but the little wispy hairs around my face stay put. One problem I’ve had with other products is that when it dries it flakes and looks like dandruff, but with Organic Excellence I don’t have that problem. It does have a bit of an odor when wet, but once it’s dry I don’t smell it anymore — and it is definitely not a fragrance odor.

I have an allegy to alcohol based products and was looking for a product that hold my hair in place. After searching online I decided I would give this producf a shot. So glad I did. Held my style in place and the scent was subtle and pleasant. Great job!

Anyone who has trouble with synthetic fragrances, but would like a styling product that holds, would like this product. I have tons of allergies and sensitivities and this is fine for me. It is a styling spray, not a finishing spray. Best to apply to wet hair before blowing out. I do, and then do wavy curls with a heated wand, and get a nice hold with this product. The only downside is what other reviewers already said, that the spray top does not work, at all. Since I read that in other reviews before I purchased, I had a purse size sprayer ready to go when my product arrived, so it was not an issue for me. You will get frustrated if you expect the sprayer to work. Otherwise, the product is worth it, especially if you have chemical sensitivities. It is scented but with natural oils.

I ordered again because I like the product but this has been a deal breaker …
This could have a 5 star rating for the product itself but the nozzle on the bottle is a great problem & customer service does not seem to care. The product performs well when you can get the spray nozzle to work & I do not react to the scent which is a plus for me. The big problem with this product is the performance of the spray nozzle on the bottle. I take the nozzle off after each use & flush it with hot water & it still will not function well. With each pump, I have to manually pull the nozzle back up to get another spray out & I usually have to do this several times to even get it to start spraying. This is the 3rd bottle that I have had of this product & they all function this way. I ordered again because I like the product but this has been a deal breaker for me. 3 times & you’re out. I will find another product. With the cost of this product, a consumer should not have to go through this type of aggravation to get a product to operate. I have called to talk to Customer Service about this & they NEVER CALLED ME BACK! I am not to the only one to have this problem & you would think they would care about what the customer experience is. Great way to lose customers for sure.

Spray nozzle clogs or defective
I have been using this hairspray for years and love the product – no alcohol, non-drying, non-toxic and holds great – but in the last 1.5-2 years, the bottles have been coming with defective spray nozzles. They either don’t work or they clog up immediately and I have to soak them frequently in hot water to unplug them. This did not used to be the case. I previously had to soak the nozzle around 3-4x during the life of the bottle, which though frustrating, I was willing to live with. Now I am at the end of the rope doing it every week. . Yesterday the nozzle clogged again and the spray came out in a heavy stream under pressure and shot me in the eye instead of misting my hair. I am looking for another similar product now.

Great hold, non-drying and fragrance free
It’s difficult to find a fragrance-free and alcohol-free hairspray. I’ve tried a few, and they either didn’t hold, were way too sticky for my curls, or caused a skin reaction. This one is great! It holds my curls without making them stick together, and it has a natural light minty scent that doesn’t linger. I’m very sensitive to fragrance and the drying effects of alcohol, and have had no reactions to this hairspray. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that the pump is a little stiff. Great product, and you don’t need to use much.

I really liked how well it held my hair in place and the fact that it used organic products and contained no alcohol. The hair spray itself would definitely deserve 5 stars. However, the third time I go to use the product and the sprayer had clogged up, rendering it useless, warranting zero stars. I have a full bottle of spray and no way to use it. Why can’t they address this issue?
