Great for Long Hair and Curls That Actually Last
This curling iron works extremely well on my stubborn hair. If I do not use enough heat, my curls can fall flat within about 30 minutes, so I need a tool that can give me consistent heat and lasting results. The titanium barrel has worked very well for that. I get beautiful curls that hold much better than they do with some of my lower-heat tools.I also really appreciate the extra-long barrel. Because I have long hair, it allows me to wrap more hair at once and cuts down significantly on the amount of time it takes me to finish my whole head. It heats up quickly, which makes the entire process faster from start to finish.The curling iron also feels well made and durable. Concerns with heat control for delicate hair
As a member of Vine Voices, I receive products in exchange for my honest review.I am between 3 – 4 stars on this curling iron. It’s not the worst, but I don’t feel it performed better than my 25 year old Conair curling iron.I have a lot of hair, but it’s thin, wavy and color treated, so I have to take extra care when styling it. I try my best to keep my hair healthy from frequent straightening. That means I use a lot of protection products, and keep an eye out for heat control and how much tools are drying out my hair.I primarily use a flat iron to curl and style my hair. I wanted to try this curling iron for It’s longer barrel and smaller circumference.CONTROLS I found the lock feature super annoying to change the temperature or turn it off. I don’t have the patience to do extra clicking and fiddle with it in the morning.TEMPERATURE I’m not confident in the heat control. It counts up to the top temperature super fast – in a few seconds. There is no way it’s giving even heat that fast, and if it is, it gives me more concerns of how it’s internally structured to do that and if it puts it at more of an electrical fire risk from overloading the socket.I did a side by side heat test at the same settings with my flat iron. I let both heat to the same temperature for 3 minutes and the heat coming off the curling iron was much cooler.Side by side comparison for how it curled, I prefer the flat iron as the curl set and stayed longer throughout the day.OPERATION The barrel continues to pinch some of my hair, no matter how I hold it and wrap my hair around it. The clamp is a bit too rigid. My hair is also noticeably dryer after using it vs my flat iron, so I have concerns of long time use damaging my hair and causing split ends. Heat protection product is a must for your hair using this curling iron.PROS The handle is nice to use and the iron isn’t too heavy. The instructions are very clear to read. The extra tools provided are a welcome bonus. The long barrel means you can curl long sections of hair more efficiently.

Very nice quality
This is a standard size iron with the traditional clip at the top so you can catch your hair in it instead of holding your hair with your hand.I have shoulder length hair and this barrel size is good for getting soft, wavy curls. ( see pictures )My hair has always been resistant to curl and with older irons, I’ve had to use a very high heat setting. This one goes up to 450 but they recommend trying a low setting first so I did. I started at 320 and it worked. I was pleasantly surprised. This means less damage from the heat.The display is digital and the on/off and heat adjustment buttons are below the display. The buttons respond well and it heats up quickly. It is easy to hold onto.It has some weight to it so you know it’s not plastic but it’s not so heavy that you can’t hold it easily. It is also very pretty which doesn’t affect how it works but I like my beauty tools to be pretty too.It comes with a silicone pad that you can set the iron on but it also has a kickstand ( see pictures) that I really like. It gives it stability when you set it down, especially if you have to keep one eye on your hair.They also give you two hair clips for holding your hair back while you curl and a heat resistant glove. I don’t use the glove because it makes working with my hair awkward.So far it seems like a very good iron and if it lasts for any length of time, I would say it’s worth the money. I’ll have to update on durability.

This curling iron heats up incredibly quickly, displays the exact temperature it’s at as it heats, and has plenty of heat settings to be suitable for different hair types. It goes lower than most irons I’ve tried, and while I don’t personally use that low of a setting, I’m sure it’s nice for those with extra fragile hair.At the time of my order and review, it’s described as an extra long barrel, and I quite honestly would not say that’s accurate. I included a side-by-side picture of it compared to my average length curling wand, and keep in mind it’s about the same exact length as the end portion does not heat up. My hair is past my bra strap and it was still long enough for my hair, but just barely and I still struggled a little. I would recommend an actual long barreled one if your hair is longer than this.The curl it creates is incredibly, incredibly loose even if you use very small sections. I cannot at all fault the product for this as it is the way it is literally designed, but if you don’t want a very very soft, slightest of slightest of waves I would definitely recommend going with a narrower barrel. I love that it includes hair clips and they stay in the hair well during styling. I cannot talk about curling products without mentioning the legendary product I use to get my curls to stay , which is Kenra’s styling spray with firm hold. It’s heat activated so it holds the curl as you’re curling, and it is the ONLY thing that has ever made my curls stay. This is true regardless of any iron I’ve tried.I do like this product overall and I think it works as intended.

I’ve used this brand before so I was fairly confident this was going to be a good one. and it is.The first thing I have to mention, what is the deal with curling irons not having the side clip any more?? How are people winding and keeping their hair on the iron? This has a nice, good sized side clip that keeps me from spending half my curling time playing keep away from myself.My hair goes down to the bottom of my back, and because of the time involved with drying and curling, I usually end up throwing my hair in a bun and calling it good. Testing this has been a good reminder of how much faster it is to curl my hair when the wand is the right size. It makes a big difference when you’re not wrapping your hair in layers over itself. My hair holds the curl much longer too.This iron heats up quickly and at 450 F my hair responds well to it. Overall, the quality of this iron sems good. There were a few extras with it as well. Mine had an oval heat mat, a glove, and a couple big plastic hair clips with it. Consider these extra, you wouldn’t be wanting this just for the glove. It seems a bit odd that it’s a plain fabric glove with nothing for heat protection attached. It was extra though, so no complaints from me.As for value, this is definitely a good value to me. 99% of that is because of the length of my hair, as it doesn’t work that much differently than others, it’s just sized better for me.

This curling iron feels heavy and very sturdy, with a clear sense of quality. It heats up very quickly, which was especially important to me, and it creates beautiful curls without damaging or breaking my hair.I really appreciate the included silicone mat, as well as the heat-resistant glove and hair clips. The iron also has a very good grip, so it stays securely in my hand while styling. That said, its sturdy construction also makes it quite heavy, and my arm can definitely start to hurt during a long curling session.There are 12 heat settings, which is more than I personally need, but I appreciate having such a wide range of temperature options. The 60-minute automatic shut-off is probably my favorite safety feature. I always have that little panic when I leave the house wondering if I remembered to turn off my curling iron, so knowing it will shut off automatically is a huge plus.The long barrel is another major advantage for my medium-length hair. Stop trying to curl long hair with a small iron, grab the big one and get your free time back
My wife has long hair and the one complaint with all the ceramic curling irons that I’ve ever gotten her was that she can’t roll up the entire length of her hair onto the curler, I didn’t know that they actually made larger and smaller units specifically for this reason, so when we got this 1 1/4 inch Orynne brand curler the first thing my wife said is that’s the perfect size! The very next night it was a perfect excuse to try it out. She said even though it was larger it got hot Just as quickly as the smaller one she’s got, it was very easy to use, the clamp that held her hair was easy to press with her thumb, but held her hair firmly and there was enough barrel to hold all the hair she was curling. She said dialing in the temperature was super easy and just like her smaller unit, it came with a little kickstand so it didn’t have to rest on our porcelain sink. Even though it’s larger and technically has more wattage, it didn’t trip the GFI in our bathroom either. So this was a huge plus. She says she’s getting rid of the smaller one now, as there’s no need for it.
