Took this to Europe and it did the one thing a travel dryer has to do: it worked. No voltage converter, no squinting at the back of the unit in a dim hotel bathroom. You clip on a plug adapter and it figures out the rest on its own. That alone is worth a lot if you’ve ever fried a cheap dryer’s motor on a 220 outlet.It folds down to about the size of a folded umbrella and weighs almost nothing, so it disappears into a carry-on. Drying time surprised me. Shoulder-length hair in around five minutes, not far off what my big one does at home, and it heats up in a couple seconds. I was skeptical of the plasma talk, but hair does come out smoother and less frizzy than I expected, and it doesn’t feel like it’s been blasted.The pouch is nicer than it has any right to be at this price, and the comb attachment is genuinely useful, not just a box-checker.Two things to know. The power button sits right where your thumb lands when you hold it, so I kept bumping it and switching modes mid-dry until I changed my grip. Turning it off means holding the button down a few seconds, which is not obvious the first time. I sat there pressing it like a normal person for a while. There’s also a faint plasticky smell the first couple of uses. It faded by the third.For the money it’s hard to argue with. If you travel and hate hauling a full-size dryer, this does the job for a fraction of the price.

Nice and lightweight travel dryer, but lacks mode indicators
This is a nice travel blow dryer—it’s super lightweight, compact, and works as expected for quick styling on the go. However, the controls could be better. It relies on a single button, so you have to press it two or three times just to cycle through the different modes. There’s also no digital display or tiny LED light to show which mode you’re currently in, so you have to guess based on the airflow. Overall, it gets the job done and is great for travel, but the mode switching takes some getting used to!

Lightweight, sturdy built, easy to stow for travel
We travel frequently so the OSOU Foldable Hair Dryer was a no brainer to try. We have not travelled abroad with it, so can’t speak to the Auto-Sensing dual voltage feature.My wife washes and rolls her hair every night and needs a good hair dryer that doesn’t damage her hair from the nightly drying. She often sits in a chair or on the side of the bed for the process, so many hotel hair dryers are limited, not only in quality and condition, but must be used in the bathroom because of the way they are mounted. She has a Dyson full sized hair dryer that comes with a very nice case, but it is heavy to use and too bulky for travel. She also has a Dyson travel version, but it is still a little heavy to use. It comes with a soft travel bag, but doesn’t fold and still takes up considerable space in luggage. The OSOU also comes with a soft travel bag and with its foldable feature, easily stores in luggage taking up minimal space. The OSOU is lightweight, surprisingly sturdy and well built, and the attachments are easy to attach & remove. It dries her shoulder length hair in about the same 5 minute or so time frame of the Dyson! And, she says it makes her hair feel much softer and less heat treated than the Dyson! Guess that’s a result of the Plasma Technology!The only con for the OSOU is the design placement of the control button. The way you normally hold the hair dryer causes inadvertent pushes of the button, which changes the drying mode. Other than that she loves this hair dryer and highly recommends it.

A compact, powerful travel hairdryer, but a tad flimsy
This is a very aesthetically pleasing hairdryer, and it actually has pretty good power and performance, the heat comes on really quickly and shifts smoothly between the settings. The product is small and simple in its design. It is a little bit flimsy and not as high-end as I was hoping for, but to be honest, for a travel dryer this is completely fine. Comes with a nice little storage pouch and packs neatly in your suitcase or carry-on. Also included is a simple attachment that also adds a comb, which is super practical if, like me, you are scared of coming too close to the scalp in parts where you can’t see. Personally, I don’t really think about noise level when it comes to a hairdryer, and I can’t say that this is quiet or loud I think it’s just normal. One thing that I noticed is that the surface easily picks up on any sort of dirt that you may have on your hands, and for some reason, you can’t really rub it off with your finger. You have to use a cleaning cloth. Maybe not a big deal, but a slight inconvenience since it is a bright white and matte surface.
