High Quality, Low Cost
Extremely Well made set. The nail file has a different filing texture so it is easier to round you nails and not have a weird angled nail. The Cuticle Push back and cutter are amazing. The scissors allowed me to hit a pesky mustache hair my trimmer couldn’t.Tweasers are good but not as good as my Revlon.

Gets the job done. All instruments work fine except i think the file is pretty weak but besides that, its a good looking/working set.

4 good pieces, 4 not so good
First the good. The nail clipper is nice and solid, and works well. The tweezers work well for me. The nail file is nice, and has two different grits. The cuticle tool works well. I’m very happy with all these pieces, and the case is decent for storage.Now, the not so good. The scissors don’t cut anything, as they have no blade – the edges are square! I intend to try sharpening them myself to see if I can make them cut anything, but until then, they’re just taking up space. The side-cutter would be quite good, except the spring is awful. The spring is made to flip away when you store it, but when you flip it back into place to use it, it won’t stay in place. Theoretically, if you pull out a #1 screwdriver every single time you use it, and tighten the screw, it might stay in place, but mine is also off center, so it easily moves to the edge and pops out of place any time you put pressure on it. That’s especially annoying when you’re using it because the spring slipping can cause your hand to bounce into the wrong place and cut yourself. Maybe someone has a use for the nail cleaner, but I just use soap and a brush for that. And then the ear scoop. PLEASE DO NOT STICK THAT THING IN YOUR EAR! It doesn’t matter if it is sharp, you can still do major damage doing that, and then you will get a lecture from the doctor in the ER about sticking things in your ear.

The quality of this stainless steel set is amazing. The design for each tool is well considered. The case is also very exquisitely made. Truly impressed by this set! Only time will tell if they can survive Florida’s humid and salty air. So far, only my surgical grade tools have survived. Thanks for reading, and YMMV.

Thought I was buying a good quality item
After searching a lot on Amazon, these seemed a bit better than the rest, but that is not the case. I don’t use this set often and already less than 6 months it’s falling apart. Beware the seem really nice at first but don’t last.

Case holds everything neatly and securely – exceedingly well made set
This Pete and Pedro manicure set has everything you need for nail grooming. The set comes in a 4” wide x 6” tall x 1 1/4” thick leather zipper case with the Pete & Pedro logo embossed on the front. The zipper and pull are all metal. Each tool has a place in the case and is held neatly and securely.All of the tools are stainless steel and well constructed. The nail clipper is 2 1/2” long and 1/2” wide. The nipper ends are sharp and come together precisely and firmly. The lever arm is thick and contoured with a 3/4” tall x 1/4” wide file recessed in it near the nipper end. The lever end has grooves so your thumb does not slip while squeezing. The spring action is very responsive.The cuticle nippers have a spring lever which rotates into place. The handles spread 2 1/2” when at rest, and squeeze down to 1 3/4” when closed. The spring is very responsive. The end is sloped, 3/8” long, and the blades are sharp. They very precisely remove cuticles and hang nails. They come with a cover so you don’t accidentally cut yourself when not using.The scissors are 3 1/2” long with curved blades. The finger/thumb holes are 3/4” wide and 7/8” long. The pivot point is permanently attached. They are exceedingly sharp.The tweezers have a matte black coating with the logo near the top. They are 3 3/4” long and the tips are slanted and 1/8” wide. They come together precisely and grasp hairs firmly.The nail file is coarse on one side and fine on the other. The total length is 4 1/2” long, and the file is 2 3/8” long from tip to handle. It is 3/8” wide and tapers to a point at the end. The handle has a thumb indent on one side to aid in holding. The file blade appears to be integrated with the handle, not two separate pieces.The cuticle tools and ear cleaner all have 3” handles and the tools are integrated with the handle in a continuous piece. They range from 4 1/4” – 4 1/2” in total length.This manicure set is exceedingly well made. It has all the pieces you need for nail grooming, and they all fit neatly into the zipper case. They are all heavy duty and look very professional. This is a high quality set of tools which look nice and work well.
