    Surprisingly good bone folder substitutes, resist sticky “sugar”

    I ordered the JJLFresheners Portable Hair Wax Removal Spatulas because I teach papercrafting and these looked like they’d make pretty good bone folder substitutes for students to use during demos. They’re just pieces of plastic and while I’m not sure they’re worth their dollar/unit cost, they do make bone folder substitutes that crease surprisingly well without leaving stray marks on paper and they are also better ergonomically than old credit cards. (I did also mix up some “sugar” for waxing following an internet recipe and the hardened wax came right off the spatula).

    Pretty good for spreading hot wax.

    I found that these portable hair wax removal spatulas were kind of interesting. From the ad it seems like they were meant to be used with depilatory creams which are not wax but it does say that you can use them with wax so I got them anyway. So when I got them I could already tell that it was possible I had made a mistake. But I was pretty determined to try them anyway.What I found was if you use what would be the handle if you were removing depilatory cream, you can spread hot wax pretty evenly on your legs or face and the curve is actually a nice touch. I’m just not sure if it was meant to be used that way but necessity is the mother of invention, so I did use it this way. Using the handle as a spatula to apply hot wax was smooth and easy and when I was done I just let the wax harden on the spatula and I was able to pull it right off.I do think this is an improvement over the little wooden sticks that I normally use simply because of the mess and the cleanup. Waxing is always going to be a little messy but this was much easier to clean up.I will probably keep using this method over the wooden sticks.

    Great tools for waxing!

    These spatulas are such a simple but useful addition to my waxing setup! The pack comes with 5 spatulas in random colors, and they’re all sturdy, lightweight, and the perfect size for both face and body waxing.I love that they’re made of a non-stick material, so the wax doesn’t cling or build up — it just peels right off once it cools. That makes cleaning them super quick, and since they’re reusable, they save me money and cut down on waste compared to disposable wooden sticks.The smooth edges make applying hard wax easy and even, whether I’m doing brows, underarms, or legs. They’re also great for scraping and mixing wax in the pot without scratching it.Overall, these spatulas are durable, hygienic, and very convenient for both home waxing and professional use. I love the bright colors too — they make them easy to spot in my kit!Highly recommend for anyone who does at-home waxing — affordable, reusable, and mess-free!!!

    Fine for Hair Removal Cream, Not My Choice for Waxing!

    I am honestly a bit confused by this listing and the intended purpose of these spatulas. The photos show them being used to spread and remove hair removal cream, similar to the stick that comes with products like Veet. However, the title states they are for wax application and removal, and I did not see anything in the photos clearly showing how they are meant to be used for waxing.I ended up using them to remove my hair removal cream, and they worked well for that purpose. They are a bit small for larger areas like the legs, but they worked great for smaller areas such as the underarms.I personally prefer anything that goes into my wax pot to be disposable, so I do not see myself using these for waxing. That said, for how I used them, they worked just fine. For the price, they are a decent option as long as you understand what they are best suited for.

    Multi purpose!

    I use hard wax, and I absolutely anticipate dripping it where it doesn’t belong again at some point. Pro-tip: puppy pads under ya are a GREAT albeit not at all environmentally friendly option. But if you have a bunch of extras laying around…Anyway, what I expect to use these babies for is removing that adhesive foam that sometimes sticks to whatever surface you’ve used a command strip on. If you’re not careful removing it. EXTREME SIDE EYE AT DH. I know there are tools specifically for removing stuff like this (plastic razor/scrapers etc), and we do have at least a couple of them around, but the nice compact size of these will be a great addition to the arsenal!The ombre pink thing is kinda fun, too, but for my main use case, it could be cat doodoo colored and I wouldn’t care!

    Nice, but not usually a problem.

    These are a useful tool if you don’t have nails to start lifting the end of a wax strip for the pull off.I did try to use them in different ways (like for application) but they just didn’t work well for that purpose.Overall I did find them handy, but a credit card would’ve sufficed too.

    Great for depilatory creams

    I actually use these to remove and apply depilatory creams and they are perfect. Easy to clean and store . I love the range of colors and it helps to ensure for a fast clean and efficient hair removal process .These are also great for facials or really any product you need to apply and don’t want to use your hands .Great product and value .

    Easy way to remove wax

    This set of 5 hair wax removal tools work great. It makes it so easy to remove wax from skin and keep it more mess free. The scrapers are sturdy and I like the size of them as they are easier to hold. You can wash and reuse these many times. Plus with having 5 you can use them for different areas.
