Great for thicker nails, just wish the clippers were more matched in design.
This takes a little getting used to, I am not gonna lie. I like that this is a thicker clipper, and it is designed for thick nails that make problems for other clippers. I don’t like how the handles are mismatched. The one side of the clippers is much shorter, which makes for awkward use if you aren’t paying attention. I like how this is able to get the nails and cleanly slice them, I just find that at first it was unusual to use. I kept dropping them because I wasn’t used to them. I like that when you close the clippers the blades come together but the black cover doesn’t so you can actually see what you are doing with them. It’s hard to explain, but I like the design elements of it. I would just like the clipper arms to match to be more comfortable to me.

Excellent clippers!
These ClipperPro Prime Toenail Clippers are excellent clippers! They are heavy duty and have weight to them but it allows you to have good control in your hand. While the price seems super high for toenail clippers, if you’re someone with thick nails (or caring for someone with thick nails) you know that the little ones just don’t do it. But these will cut right through those thick, curving nails. This allows me to do my loved one’s nails in the house as opposed to bundling them up to bring them to the podiatrist to get them done there. So for that, it’s worth it.

This is a review for the ClipperPro Prime Toenail Clipper.What you’re getting is… it’s a toenail clipper. In a box. It’s a fairly nice box that’s velvety on the inside. You’re probably going to want to keep the box to store the clippers in because these clippers are a whole lot.A whole lot of money. A whole lot of power. Just a whole lot.They’re pretty intense, okay. Even before you open the box you can’t help but be impressed by their heft and majesty. These things are legit.The quality is absolutely and obviously there. And it better be at the price they’re asking! These clippers cost more than this month’s gas bill, and you know utility bills are crazy right now.But, as I see it, toenail clippers are a lifelong commitment. You’ll always need them, even when you don’t need them anymore. Toenails still growing, so your upfront investment is solidly confirmed.Also, just a side note that I was unaware of, these guys are a “as seen on TV” product! And, I’ll just admit it, I am an absolute sucker for “as seen on TV” products! I also still own a Monster Ballads CD set I purchased from an infomercial back in the day, so you know I don’t play!Ramblings aside, do these do the job that they are made to do? Eh, they’re gonna cut your toenails, don’t you worry about that! The only question is, how well?This is tough for me. I want to love these. I love every single thing about them except for the way they cut my nails. And I can’t even figure out why. It’s crazy, I have purchased at least a dozen different pairs of nail clippers, expensive and cheap. And I’ve only found 1 pair that does it for me. A cheap Rite Aid brand of toenail clippers. They cut my nails like a dream. I have 2 pairs, one for toes and one for nails. They don’t sell them anymore, of course, so here I am reviewing these clippers and lamenting the fact that I can’t find the perfect nail clippers in 2026.I’d also like that flying car we were promised by the Jetsons, speaking of things that should be plentiful in 2026.But here I am. Only moderately happy. And I can’t even fully explain why.The clippers are fine, okay. They do what they say. They are super easy to use and they look like an angel come to life. Hands Down, The Best Toenail Clippers Ever!
I will cut to the chase on my verdict for the ClipperPro Omega Toenail Clippers for Thick Nails: Hands down, they are the best toenail clippers I have ever used.Now the back story: I don’t watch TV, so I had never heard of the clippers before I ordered them. But I am a lap swimmer who has destroyed her toenails in the pool by kicking off the concrete pool edge while turning. Regular toenail clippers just couldn’t cut it (pun intended), so I ordered the ClipperPro to see if they would work on my problem nails.The clippers arrived quickly, minimally packaged in a small attractive box inside a mailer. The clippers were obviously new, clean and odor free. And they were like no other clippers I had ever seen.The approximately five-inch heavy-duty toenail clippers look and feel like very expensive, small garden pruners. The long, smooth, ergonomically designed handles are very easy and comfortable to hold and squeeze. The precision stainless steel blade head is much thicker and more accurate than your typical tiny nail cutter. And, amazingly, the head swivels 180° so that you can get the exact angle you need to clip without twisting or hurting your wrist or hand. The clippers appear to be made of very high-quality, long-lasting components.At first I was afraid to use the clippers because they feel just like a pruner and make the sound of a pruner while clipping; but no worries They are very safe and precise, so I didn’t cut off any part of my toe. The toenails clippers cut as little or as much as you like even if your nails are thick.The ClipperPro Omega Toenail Clippers are orthopedically designed, consciously crafted, durable, top-tier toenail clippers. At $39.99, they are pricy but definitely worth the investment for anyone, not just seniors or those with arthritis or other special needs.

This is one “As Seen On TV” item that actually works for me!
These toenail clippers are great!!!They can handle fairly thick nails, and, once you get the hang of them, they are easy to operate!The cutters can be angled left or right or straight, or anywhere in between. This is like having 3 pairs of cutters in one!At 73, I have difficulty even reaching my toes, let alone reaching PAST them to hold nail clippers straight on to the toe. With this set, I can reduce that “reach” to just at the tip of the toe, and cut left-handed OR righthanded! Then there’s the mechanism itself — takes a bit of getting used to. Let me explain, and even show you in a video. Instead of having to use BOTH finger flexing AND thumb flexing, with the long “arm” cradled in the joint between fingers and palm, the thumb does all the work. Much more control, and it doesn’t “slip out of my hands”. Plus the grip is closer together to begin with, so not as much range of motion is needed in the hands (think arthritis-ridden fingers and thumb – so a lot less pain).With the greater control, and the closer reach, it is much easier than any other clippers I’ve ever had.Some people have mentioned that the “blades are not curved”, but my podiatrist uses straight clippers, and I asked him why. His answer was that “curved blades should not be used on people with diabetes and neuropathy because the curve tip can cut into the skin, and with insufficient feeling, the person will not know it. It is much safer to take many, smaller cuts with a straight blade”.Bottom line for me — they are exactly what I need!

No curve to the cutters
I was hoping these would work well, unfortunately the straight blade on it is miserable to use for me. With a normal toe nail clipper with a curved blade, you can angle the clipper at whatever angle is needed for the natural curve of your nail so that there isn’t excessive pressure trying to unnaturally bend your nail as you clip it. With the straight blade on this clipper, I can’t find any comfortable angle to clip my nails that doesn’t make it feel like it’s trying to rip my nail out on one side or the other. Also with the straight blade, I find myself having to do 3 or 4 small cuts on a single nail to get a relatively rounded nail that isn’t going to be snagging in my socks all the time.Another disadvantage with this design that I found was that both the top and bottom handles move with respect to the blade. This makes it harder to keep the cutter in your desired location as you’re cutting the nail. On a standard nail clipper, the one side is fixed, and I feel that you can get the cutter positioned and held in place better with that type of design. I do like that the head rotates left or right which did make it more comfortable to use with my left hand, but that’s not enough to overcome the disadvantage of the straight blade.Maybe I’m just being old fashioned, but there’s probably a reason the typical design of a toe nail cutter hasn’t changed in my lifetime. Maybe this design will work well for some people, maybe if you have really flat nails workout much curve, but I think I’ll probably stick to the tried and true old fashioned design.
