    I only received a single pair of scissors, not the full set. That was what was ordered/requested, so I’m not complaining.QUALITY: They are high quality for the price. They are sturdy, move smoothly, and cut well.COLOR: They are a unique black and gold (one color for each piece) and have a shiny finish.SIZE: They are a bit short (blade from screw to tip is about 3″). I would prefer they be an inch or so longer.

    Let me start by saying: my hair stylist and I have an understanding. She says “leave it alone between appointments,” and I say “that sounds like a suggestion, not a rule.” So yes, I am absolutely out here doing routine split end Search and Destroy inspections like it’s part of my weekly responsibilities. These scissors have made that situation… significantly more efficient.When I first took them out of the packaging, my immediate reaction was that they looked like a solid, well made pair of actual grown up scissors. Not flimsy, not questionable, not something that looks like it came in a random multipack. They have a nice all metal feel and felt comfortable in my hand right away, which is saying a lot because I don’t have the patience to “get used to” tools.I was a little unsure about how sharp they’d actually be at first. I’ve tried other hair scissors that look like they belong in a salon, but then perform like they’re just there for decoration. These, however, came through immediately. They cut cleanly and easily, even through slightly thicker sections, and there was zero pulling or catching. Just smooth, straight cuts that made me feel way more qualified than I actually am.The weight is also really well balanced. They’re not heavy to the point where your hand gets tired, but not so lightweight that they feel cheap or out of control. It’s that perfect middle ground where you feel like you have control, which is dangerous because it leads to thoughts like “I could probably just even this out really quick,” and suddenly you’re 20 minutes deep into a situation.Quality wise, these are excellent for the price. They feel sturdy, smooth, and there’s no awkward stiffness when using them. Everything about them feels consistent and reliable, which is exactly what you want when you’re standing in your bathroom making bold choices.The black and gold color is also a nice touch. Each piece has its own color, and the shiny finish makes them look a little more elevated than your average pair of scissors. It’s subtle, but it does add to the whole “I definitely know what I’m doing” illusion.Just to clarify: I only received the single pair of straight cutting scissors, not the full kit shown in some listings. That’s what I ordered, so no worries. But be aware this review is JUST for the scissors.These scissors are perfect for basic at home trims and ongoing split end management (or, depending on your personality, light chaos). They’re sharp, comfortable, well balanced, and easy to use. Five stars from me. Will I continue using them with confidence I probably haven’t earned? Absolutely. Just don’t tell my stylist!

    the scissors are great

    I ordered this before it was a 10 piece set, when I ordered it was just the scissors without any extras, so that is what this review is based on. I forget now what the price was, but it was much less than the current price of $21.99, I believe the scissors alone were priced a few dollars under $10.Anyway with that said, we are very happy with these scissors. Ever since the Covid shutdowns, my wife cuts our daughter’s hair, and up until we got these she had just been using the scissors from our office. They worked fine for the occasional haircut, but since it’s been years now that she has been cutting hair and it seems unlikely to change any time soon we decided to get a pair that was actually made for hair cutting and the wife says there is a world of difference and can’t believe we didn’t get some actual hair cutting scissors sooner.These scissors are sharp, lightweight, and small enough to maneuver easily. The previous pair of office scissors didn’t exactly struggle to cut hair, but these new scissors just cut right through the hair without any issue (almost like they are doing what they were designed for haha). Wife says the weight difference is not exactly huge but she can work with these so much easier due to the lighter weight and shorter length. She finds that her arm and hand don’t get as tired using these.We have zero complaints about the scissors, and I imagine that if the rest of the set that has been added in the meantime works as well as or even close to as well as these scissors do, then the whole set must be great. We really didn’t expect much of a difference when ordering these scissors (my wife was mostly excited simply for the finger rest that comes of the back finger loop) but found that they made a really big difference, especially for such a low asking price. We are very happy with the scissors.

    Nice pair of SINGLE scissors – not a set

    This review is for the scissors and not the set. These are a really nice pair and the price was very reasonable and they cut really well. I normally don’t cut my own hair, but there are times I can’t always make it to my hair stylist, so I love having a set to use for those inbetween moments.My only gripe is the the opening for the thumb seems smaller than what I am used to and I have two other sets of hair scissors. (One pair is a high end set I bought at Sally’s, which can hold up to that pair.)I love the two tone on the blades and these have a nice weight to them, they feel just like hair scissors.

    Sharp and easy

    These are a great pair of hair cutting scissors for home use. I have always cut my boys hair and both have very thick hair. I have had a hard finding a pair of scissors to use at home that are sharp enough to get through their hair. This pair cut through without hesitation or pulling. My son didn’t complain at all during his hair cut. The scissors were easy to wipe down when done and come with a plastic sheath to keep them in when storing. That plastic sheath won’t last very long but I also have a zipper pouch I keep my other hair cutting supplies in. They were easy to hold with the finger grasp as well. I am very please with this purchase and would recommend to others.

    High Quality Scissors

    I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these scissors. The metal is a true metal and not a porous alloy. The finishing on the metal is smooth to the touch. The scissors cut evenly without any drag or slip. This is now my most favorite pair of scissors in the house.
