Minoxidil works — if you’re the right candidate for it
My hair has thinned with age. No bald spots or anything; I just don’t have the lush hair I had decades ago. I’ve tried multiple oils and serums that claim to promote hair growth, but in truth all the do is make hair look thicker until they wash off or wear off. I was intrigued by RYVORA because it was the only one I’ve been offered through Vine that contains minoxidil.I didn’t actually know much about minoxidil, except that it has a proven record for real hair growth that goes all the way back to the 1970s. But when I got this product and read the label, I saw that it says NOT to use it if I have no familial history of hair loss. And I don’t. Both my parents died in old age with gloriously thick mops of hair, and I can’t recall a single uncle, aunt, or cousin who ever went bald. So I’m already a little nervous about trying this product. I decided to look into minoxidil more thoroughly.I did some research. Minoxidil was discovered in the early 1960s and was marketed, starting in 1979, as a blood-pressure medicine. Somewhere in between discovery and use as a blood-pressure treatment, one of those serendipitous findings popped up: the stuff could regrow hair lost to male-pattern baldness! The miracle men had sought for centuries had arrived.Eventually, it turned out to work on women, as well. BUT it works only for certain types of baldness (seemingly those that appear first on the top of the head). It works by improving blood flow around the hair follicles and by blocking Dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the big culprit in androgenic alopecia (the scientific name for male-pattern baldness, which also affects many post-menopausal women, though women usually get less dramatic balding).Unfortunately, once you start, you have to keep using it forever. If you quit, all your glorious new hair will be lost. It’s also best if you start applying minoxidil soon after the thinning starts, and it’s better for treating small, new bald spots than treating gigantic bald patches or general thinning that’s gone on for years.So here I am, reviewing RYVORA Revive Foam without actually having applied it personally. My post-purchase research indicates it’s not suitable for me. But I hope I’ve been able to give a bit of useful information that might help you decide if this product will work for you. To recap: 1) It’s good only for certain types of baldness; 2) It’s works best if you catch your balding early; 3) If you start and it works for you, you’ll have to use it forever; but 4) it DOES work if you’re the right candidate for it.

Prefer this topical to the oral
Using an oral option of this medication yields pretty decent results. That said with any oral medication there are side effects and something like hair regrowth is a long time commitment. I was very happy to find this and use as a topical foam twice a day. I also feel like it gives me some control over how much I am using and where. I like that I can put it where the hair is thinning and target that area.Since this does take a while to actually start working, I can’t comment on what it looks like after 6 months but since an oral application of Minoxidil was first used I expect that I will see results sooner. It has only been a month and I feel that I can appreciate some improvement.I also like that there is no harsh chemicals and that it does not irritate the scalp.

Amazing product
I’ve only been using Revive Foam for 1 month. I love the foam application! I used the runny liquid version before and hated it — it made my hair greasy, irritated my scalp, and had to be applied twice a day, so I stopped. Only needing to apply this foam once a day makes it so much easier to stick with.I apply it at night before bed, and in the morning my hair looks great — no greasiness at all. I’ve always seen quick results with minoxidil, so with this formula I’m excited to watch the little new hairs coming in up front. I expect the crown will take longer. For now, I’m really pleased with how easily it applies, how it causes zero irritation, and the promising results after just one month. Tip: washing your hands in cold water before applying helps the foam hold together better on your scalp.Almost 2 months in and I’m still thrilled with the growth. Great! Lack of instructions
I’ve used minoxidil before, but I really love the application pump for this foam. I would definitely get it again in my opinion, but my only issue is the lack of instructions on how to use it/amount you should use. Minoxidil packages usually have those.It also doesn’t say that it’s very harmful to pets, especially cats and dogs, so that should be a warning to anybody who gets it. For beginners, I might recommend something else as this product didn’t come with instructions in/on the box or the bottle.

Very Effective
I tried the Revive 5% Minoxidil Foam and overall I have had a pretty positive experience with it. I like that the foam is easy to apply and does not leave my hair feeling overly greasy or weighed down afterward. Compared with some hair products I have used in the past, this one absorbs fairly quickly, which makes it easier to work into my daily routine without feeling like I have a lot of product sitting on my scalp.One of the things I appreciate most is how convenient the foam is. I can apply it directly to the areas where I want to focus without making a huge mess. It also does not have a strong or unpleasant smell, which is important to me because I do not want something I use regularly to be irritating or noticeable throughout the day. The addition of biotin is another feature I liked, although I would not say that alone is what made the product work for me.As far as results go, I think consistency is important with a product like this. I did not expect overnight changes, and the improvement seemed gradual rather than something I noticed immediately. Easy to use, and it appears to be working!
There are a lot of Minoxidil hair loss products on the market, most at a better price than the Ryvora Revive Foam, but this is the only one I found that actually blocks DHT. DHT is the primary hormonal cause of common pattern hair loss and is known to be directly responsible for male and female pattern baldness. DHT binds to receptors on hair follicles causing them to shrink over time, making each hair that grows in finer and weaker than the one before until no hair at all will grow there. It seems to me that Minoxidil can’t do its job effectively until DHT is blocked. That’s where Ryvora Revive Foam comes in with 5% Minoxidil, 3% Biotin and a DHT blocker.To use, apply two to three pumps of the topical foam to thinning areas of a dry scalp and massage in thoroughly. It is absorbed into the scalp quickly without any residue or oily feeling. Do this morning and night for best results. Information on the bottle states that the product is safe for all hair types in men and women and contains no sulfates, parabens or harsh additives. Initial shedding is to be expected as weaker hair is pushed out to make room for new, stronger hair growth. This is not an overnight cure for hair loss, but if you follow the directions and use this product twice a day without fail, you should start noticing the start of new growth by the end of the first month or two.I really like this product. I like the ease with which it is applied. I like that it is a foam that doesn’t spill or run. I like that it dries quickly without leaving a residue. I like that it never feels oily. Most of all, I like that I am actually seeing the start of regrowth. This product works!
