Feel free to skip my story and go to the results.My story: For reference, in case someone is in the same boat, I am Puerto Rican and Mexican with my hair reaching my mid-back. My hair used to be very thick with some texture to it. On some days, it’s wavy, on some days, it’s kinky, and on some days, it’s pin-straight, all without the application of heat or products; it’s just a blessing of my ethnicity. Though I have been dying my hair for many years, and even with that, my hair has maintained its texture and thickness till a few years ago. I recently noticed that my hair had become significantly drier, and I started to think about the top of my forehead and my temples. I have since figured out that the difference in texture and hair thinning has been due to wearing my hair up tightly for years, as well as the effects of perimenopause at 48 years old. The thinning isn’t particularly noticeable to others, but it’s to me, and it’s disheartening.I have used rice water on my face in the past due to its numerous benefits and have loved the results. So, when I saw this spray, I was intrigued. After reading the ingredients, which also included caffeine, castor, and rosemary oils, and knowing that each one is supposed to promote hair growth on its own, I ordered it immediately.I have used the spray on my hair both when it was dry and wet, and each time, alternating between spraying medium to large amounts on my scalp and all down the length of my hair. No matter the amount I have sprayed on my scalp or hair, my hair still feels clean and a lot softer than usual. Using the spray, my hair has never felt greasy or weighed down. Besides feeling smooth, it also looks a little shinier, bouncier, and slightly fuller.This spray has an intense perfume-like scent. I am not scent-sensitive, but even I was turned off the first time I used it because it’s almost overpowering when first applied. However, after several uses, the scent dissipates after a few minutes, so don’t be deterred by it.I’m not sure if the spray helps with thinning hair, as I’ve only used it for a week or so. I know hair regrowth can take months, but I am hopeful due to the combined ingredients in this spray, which individually are known to stimulate hair growth. However, even though I haven’t seen the primary results I initially expected, this spray has made my hair feel significantly healthier, less dry, and fuller.If you are on the fence about getting this spray, do it! I know hair issues can cause low self-esteem for both women and men, and I would never lie to someone experiencing that.

Not my favorite
I’ve wanted to try a rice water product for my hair as I hear great things. I have long hair, a bit on the dry side, with highlights. I was hoping for some volume and some benefit similar to a leave in conditioner. I will say it does add a bit OG volume or weight to my hair, but that’s about it. After a week, my hair is dryer than it was before and it leaves a brittle texture behind that is less than ideal.

Oh, I can’t get over how amazing the scent is. I love the Rice Water set. I use the Shampoo and Conditioner set as well, and gosh, that scent! It’s so lovely. The product itself seems to work nicely! I have very fine, baby thin hair which is hard to style, and just combing it I have a lot of shedding due to how fine it is. I don’t know, maybe it’s just my imagination but since using this I don’t seem to see as much hair in my comb or hands when I comb through with my fingers. I love this brand and will continue buying from them! I have to try the Keratin one next!

Luxurious scent. Adds a little shine and volume to hair.
The scent of this spray is amazing. It is very similar to my honey and black seed deodorant which I love so that was a pleasant surprise. It is not a very strong scent but it is noticeable when you spray it, with a light scent remaining on the hair afterward. The spray seems to give my hair a bit more shine and volume but the results are not as pronounced as a full rice water rinse. This is much more convenient though and since I was worried the rinses might aggravate my skin condition, this is a good alternative. This sprays a fine mist that’s easy to direct exactly where I want it, and it’s leave in so I don’t need to worry about a lot of skin contact. So far this has been a good option for me and it takes all the prep work out of making my own rice water. It’s a good value too at only 10 dollars.
