    Oops… Had to Buy More Nail PolishI opened these magnets all excited to try them, then realized I didn’t actually have any magnetic gel polish left. That turned into an unexpected trip to the store before I could even test them. Oops.I received these through Amazon. The set from Kiidas includes two ring-style magnets along with a stabilizer, and once I had the right polish they were surprisingly easy to use. I like that there are different openings for creating wide beams, French tip effects, hearts, and other cat-eye patterns without needing several separate tools.The magnets are solid with a good amount of pull. The stabilizer turned out to be more useful than I expected because it helped keep everything steady while the design formed, my hands aren’t always as steady as I’d like when doing my own nails. The patterns came out crisp after a little experimenting.These are definitely meant for magnetic gel polish, so don’t make the same mistake I did and assume your regular gel collection will work. Once I had the proper polish, they were fun to use and gave me much more interesting designs than a standard magnet stick.Gets used, not stored!

    Fun Little Tool for Cat-Eye

    These magnets are a fun addition to my nail supplies and make creating cat-eye gel effects much easier. The set includes a couple of different magnets, so you can experiment with different looks-classic cat-eye, French and other patterns.The magnets is well made and a strong enough pull to create noticeable designs when used with magnetic polish. There was a little learning curve figuring out the angle and distance but after a few tries I was getting much more consistent results.I like that they’re compact and easy to store. Having two is convenient if you’re trying different techniques. If you’re just getting into magnetic gel polish or enjoy doing your own nails at home, these are a nice, affordable tool to have. Just be prepared to practice a little to get the look you’re after.

    Great 3D effects once you get the hang of them!

    Like most cat-eye nail art tools, these ring-shaped magnets definitely take a little bit of practice to get used to. However, once you get the hang of how to position them, they are actually really nice! They create beautiful, distinct 3D patterns like wide beams and French lines very easily. The ring design makes them comfortable to hold and manipulate over the nail. If you are willing to spend a few minutes practicing your technique, they are a fantastic tool for home DIY manicures.

    These work way better than normal magnets for getting a circular cat eye

    I picked these up because I wanted to try cat eye nail art at home. The ring shape seemed easier to handle than a bulky bar magnet, and the three different designs gave me options for different effects. I have not had luck with a reliable cat eye using just a regular magnet so I was hoping this would work better for me.The first thing I noticed when I took them out was how heavy they are. The ring base fits has the magnet embedded securely. The wide beam X shape is what you place on the magnet to get a French tip pattern.What works well is how easy it is to use. I hover the magnet over my wet magnetic polish, and the particles shift within seconds. The circle and French designs are a lot easier than using a regular magnet by itself. The magnet is strong enough to work on both fingers and toes, and the ring shape makes it easy to holdOne thing to be aware of is that the magnet works best when you hold it close to the nail without touching the polish. It takes a little practice to get the angle right, but once you figure it out, the results are consistent. It’s a strong magnet. You also need to bring all the reflective particles to the surface before you make the cat eye or the french tip. That way the effect is stronger. I hope you understand what I mean by that.I think these magnets are best for anyone who wants to try cat eye nails at home and has tried with a regular magnet but without any consistant luck. They are beginner friendly, fun to experiment with, and the different shapes keep things interesting. I wish I’d have found this sooner.

    Magnetic magic just got easier!

    I love magnetic polish! However, as someone who does their own nails, getting consistent results from my magnetic polish is difficult. My angles are off. Or I waver with the magnet and drop it on my just polished nails. You get the idea, lots of mishaps.I’ve tried a number of different items to make magnetizing my polish easier. Some work, some don’t. Some have been quite pricey.These particular ring shaped magnets are total game changers and for under $12, well worth the price for the ease they bring to the magnetic polish experience!I love how you have the scissor-shaped holder as an option for using. I have tried these a number of ways. Wearing as a ring around my nail, using the holder to hold the ring above my nail, laying the ring beside a finger. Each way gives a different effect, and I’ve loved them all.The rings are sturdy and built to last. But truly, for an item like this, it’s the ease of use that makes or breaks it. This one is so simple, so much easier to hold on to with wet polish than some of the other magnets out there. Truly, if you enjoy magnetic polish, this product is a must!

    They work well

    My wife does her nails as a hobby and is a huge fan of the cat eye designs.These magnets can be used for a few designs and with a little patience and practice can create the oval. It did take her several attempts to get it to look right, and she had to hold the magnet in a reverse position than what is shown on the listing to get the look she was trying to achieve. They are lightweight and they can be easily stored and transported.

    Easy to Use and They Really Do Work!

    My technique definitely needs some practice, but I’m really impressed with the results for my first attempt! The photo shows my nails using regular magnetic polish, and the effect turned out much better than I expected.The magnets are nice and strong. As soon as I held the magnet over the wet polish, I could see the magnetic particles move almost immediately. I haven’t tried them with gel magnetic polish yet, but since they worked so well with regular magnetic polish, I don’t expect any problems.The set includes two of the scissor-style magnetic holders and two magnetic rings with the square magnets. You can keep one set as a spare or share it with a friend—especially after they see your nails!Overall, I think these are an excellent value. They’re fun and easy to use, the magnets are strong, and they create a beautiful effect!

Doesn’t work on all cat eyeWhen I began my nail art adventure, I fell in love with Cat-eye gels/polish. Most of them are beautiful and they are all fun to work with. So when this style of magnet was released I had to try them! ☺️The ring and cube magnets are pretty powerful. (I had purchased one of these before from another site, but it came damaged…) So the one I received from Amazon was in perfect condition so I could get started!The V-shaped Iron Sheet is narrower on one side than the other. (See photo) I used the ring & cube on the narrow side, the wider side didn’t work well for me.I tried using it on one of my favorite cat eye gel colors, but I didn’t use a coat of black first so I could barely see the magnet effects. This led to me bringing out different cat eyes of different brands and if the gel was thick then I didn’t use a coat of black first.Sighs. All right, some of the more transparent gels didn’t work well with these. I will admit that no single brand did any better than the others.The cube magnet changed the color of the nail points. (see photos) I thought that was very cool.I think these are worth the money and have added to my nail art phenomenally. I suggest practicing with them first before using them on a client. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
