Every beard needs a brush
This is a decent brush. It has natural boar’s hair. That is nice, but they do come loose. Luckily, most beards are not difficult to brush through, so it will last. From my research on beard brushes, the best are natural, like this one. But how it is made is a factor. The boar’s hair should be bundled by hand, tied and dipped in pitch and inserted into the handle. This prevents the boar’s hair loss. If they are inserted by machinery, they do break off easier. No matter how it is made, boar’s head bristles are better than synthetic.

Great for beards, but also for hair
This is a nice small brush, and it’s about the perfect size for my son to hold in his hand — he uses it on his hair, really helps tame crazy kid hair without hurting. He loves having his own little brush, and a plus that it comes with a nice little linen drawstring bag.

Its well made and a bit on a soft side
My beard is normally low maintenance – trim it once in a while and do not do to it anything special. Got this an more of “try something new” and like it so far. Its well made and feels solid in a hand. Not too big. I pulled on a few bristles and they stayed put – good sign. Bristles are made from boar’s hair – so definitely man’s tool 🙂 Its also soft – for when brushed my beard. I do not use any oils, just using the brush as is for cleaning up after the trimming and its feels pretty good – soft no scratching. Does pretty good job.As far as the product goes: well packaged. good craftsmanship. Came with a little baggy for storing – a plus. No complaints will certainly recommend.

I bought this brush with the intention of using it as a gentle massage tool for my short hair dog. She LOVES it!It’s part of a daily ritual she looks forward to. After a few days of use I noticed a deep crack in the wood.I suspect I might have contributed to it by wetting the brush slightly before each use to prevent static electricity.Other than that, I am pleased with the purchase. The brush is still fully functional and the bristles are in perfect shape.

Disappointed, sheds bristles everywhere
I bought this beard brush for my father who has always had a beard. Sadly I won’t even be giving it to him because it’s such poor quality. The bristles fall out when you even touch the brush let alone use it. Upon receiving it I was happy to see it came packaged nicely in a box and even comes with a travel pouch. But after taking the brush out of the box, bristles we’re falling out everywhere. Anytime you even rub your fingers across the bristles they fall out. Because of this I won’t be giving this as a gift as I intended and will search for a better quality brush.

Feels Good Using This
My husband is new to the world of beards, so has been trying out different products. He’s found that the grey hairs seem to have a life of their own, so he’s been trying to comb/brush frequently during the day.As he puts it, “it just feels good using this brush.” He finds the bristles to be the perfect amount of give without being too soft to really comb through the coarser hair of a beard. I noticed, however, that a few of the boars’ hairs came loose. I’m hoping this is just a “breaking in of a new brush” phenomenon, rather than a frequent occurrence.

Natural boar hair bristles set in a bamboo handle
This beard brush is made from natural boar hair bristles set in a bamboo handle. It also comes with a fabric drawstring storage bag/travel pouch. The brush appears well-made and sturdy. Other reviewers have mentioned bristles dropping out, but I’ve only seen 2 bristles dropped so far, and that was in the initial use. The bristles are 0.75″ long and are firm, but have some spring to them. The handle measures 4.25″ long x 2″ wide x 0.5″ deep. Overall, it works fine.

Sturdy, Practical, and can shed like a Bristly Boar
Don’t get me wrong – 4 starts is legitimate.When I use this beard brush it makes my all day goatee look like I just came from the barber shop. Even more so than a beard comb, the brush bristles really catch every hair and put it where it needs to go with minimal “bounce-back”.The travel pouch is a cloth travel pouch – not a deal maker / breaker.One thing is that it sheds – a fair amount (10-15 bristles after first use but is tapering off as time goes by). This may only be a symptom of a new Boar Bristle brush. The brush still looks new and has obviously grown more bristles on its own because it’s still working well.Overall, for one of the less expensive Bamboo / Boar Bristle Beard Brushes out there – it really does measure up in quality.It’s staying nearby in the razor drawer for daily use.
