It gets hot. Like 450 f hot… It didn’t feel like 180f. It pulled alot of hair out of my head. Straightener has moving plates so beware. It gave me a bad headache after.

UPDATE: adding back 3 stars for customer service! They reached out to me and offered to send me another iron for free. I asked for pink this time, as the pink one I purchased last year was great! (Still works too, but I like to replace these often). They did as I asked and the new pink one works well. Still tugs at my hair a little bit occasionally, but I have very fine hair so for the price this is a great tool. I don’t know why there were such differences between the purple and pink, besides the color, but there definitely was. I will come back next time I need to order. Thank you!Original Review: I purchased this iron in pink one year ago and I’ve loved it. But alas, I needed to replace it and went with the same iron (or so I thought) in purple. Ugh! Gets the Job Done, but Has Some Drawbacks
This flat iron gets the job done and heats up very quickly, which is great when you’re in a hurry. It also works well for creating simple curls, so I like the 2-in-1 design.That said, it didn’t completely meet my expectations. I had to go over some sections several times to get my hair fully straight, especially the thicker and frizzier areas. I also noticed that the outside of the iron gets quite hot, so you have to be careful while using it.Overall, it’s a decent option for occasional use or for people with easier-to-manage hair, but if you have thick or stubborn hair, you may want to look at other options before buying.

Disappointed and Still Searching
I was really looking forward to this straightener. I have very thick hair and struggle to find a tool that can both straighten and curl without needing extreme heat or pressure. After reading countless reviews, I thought I’d finally found the right one.It arrived quickly and looked just like the photos, but when I used it for the first time, it immediately started pulling my hair out. I had to clamp down very hard for it to get heat to my hair, other wise there was a large gap and my hair just slipped right through. I’m not sure if I received a defective unit or if it’s just poorly designed, but I shouldn’t have to clamp that hard to use a styling tool. I’m really bummed and back on the hunt for something better.

Decent flat iron. Made well. Wide plates and has some weight to it.What’s up to 480F which is hot. Does a great job at flat ironing hair. The glove helps a lot as it gets very hot.Plastic on end on both sides so you can hold when using to curl hair.Button to keep the flat iron shut which is nice.Rotating power cord. Decent length.The main negative is that it is very easy to burn you face or ears while using the flat iron. The sides get super hot since it’s a metal casing. Each time I use it I get burnt at least twice. Soo although it does a good job at flat ironing I have decided not to use it anymore.They should make it with plastic casing that doesn’t get too hot.Also a carrying case would have been nice to have.

I have tried many flat irons in the past couple of years so I truly believe this will help someone in their decision making when shopping for one.Let’s start with my hair type: I have chin length processed hair (streaking done every two months) so I do have to say that my hair is damaged and needs care while styling.Not many irons have impressed me like this one in particular.WOW!WOW!WOW!Has a lock to keep it closed..Different temperatures to choose fromHeats up in these than a minutes.I don’t accidentally trigger buttons while using so button positioning is great.Now for the greatest part…….. glides like butter through my damaged hair…. They actually feel healthy and shiny… during AND after finishing using it.No pulling or hairs getting caught in crevasses.It does an amazing job at flattening and styling my hair.I have always struggled to flatten and to curl my hair with flat irons simply because the plates would act like very fine grain sandpaper.. if you get what I mean. Would not GLIDE through my hair, even when I would put heat car oil.This iron is a game changer for me. My vet best iron at an EXCELLENT price!!!How can you think of spending 3 times the amount on a big brand name one if you can buy this one.Anyways I’m truly amazed and would suggest it to all those who went through hair flattening and curling frustrations like me in the past.The only caution I have to mention is that while the iron is on, all the sides where the plates are get very hot!!!! Done careful.That why they have those safety tips at the end of the iron.
