    Soft Beachy Texture Without the Crunch

    I’ve been chasing effortless beach waves for years, which is funny because I live in Florida and somehow my hair still refuses to cooperate on its own. Most sea salt sprays I’ve tried either leave my hair feeling crunchy enough to double as a helmet or so sticky that I immediately want to wash it out.Since I’ve loved Sauce’s hair masks for years, I was genuinely excited to see them branching out into more haircare. I had high hopes for this one, and thankfully it didn’t disappoint.The first thing I noticed was the scent. Like the rest of the SAUCE products I’ve tried, it smells fresh, clean, and just really pleasant without being overpowering. It’s one of those little details that makes styling your hair feel a bit more enjoyable.The spray itself is impressively lightweight. It comes out in a fine mist that distributes evenly instead of leaving random wet spots throughout my hair. I can use it on damp hair before air drying or on dry hair when I want to add a little extra texture and volume.What I appreciate most is that it actually creates movement instead of stiffness. My hair gets that slightly tousled, lived-in look without feeling crunchy or coated in product. It gives me more body and definition while still allowing my hair to feel soft enough to run my fingers through.I’ve also noticed it layers well with other styling products without creating buildup, which is a huge plus since I rarely use just one product when styling my hair.If I had one small note, it’s that this isn’t designed to be a super-strong hairspray. If you’re looking for an all-day firm hold, you’ll probably want to pair it with another styling product. This is more about adding texture, volume, and flexible movement than locking every strand into place.For around $13, I think it’s an excellent value. Between the lightweight formula, the fresh scent, and the natural-looking texture it creates, this has become another Sauce product I’m happy to add to my routine.     Nice, light spray with a pleasant scent

    This review is for SAUCE Sea Salt Hair Spray, Texture & Volume Multi-Styler, 5 Fl OzI got this spray because I hate a super strong spray that feels like glue in my hair and was looking for a light spray to compliment my waves. I’ve been very happy with it so far. It is a light spray and I’m able to still run my hands through my hair after applying. In spite of other reviews, I find the scent to be quite mild when compared to most hairsprays. I would even describe is as a pleasant scent. Very summery. I don’t have frizzy hair but it does do a great job at taming flyaways. I really appreciate the texturizing it offers and the ingredients are mild. The aloe vera helps to add a touch of moisture and doesn’t leave my hair looking dried out after application.The price is reasonable and given how long this bottle will last for me, I think it’s a great value. I was unfamiliar with this brand prior to trying this spray, but I’m impressed and looking forward to checking out their other hair products.

    Good product with soft hold and grown-up smell

    I’m a frequent SAUCE user and frequently purchase their products, so I was excited to see this sea salt hairspray. This isn’t meant for hold, but more for texture and volume. I’m not a “beach wave” kind of girl, but my hair is heavy and frizzy and it’s hard to get volume without product. First spray I noticed that it calmed the frizz on my crown. As I continued to spray through my hair it felt initially sticky, but dried to feel soft, and effortlessly held volume without having to back comb or use heavy product. The fragrance isn’t bright or fruity, but more of a mature soft perfume, which I found appealing. My only complaint is the sprayer. It feels more appropriate for a leave-in conditioner. It’s a pump sprayer and produces a fine mist, but the mist is very wide and wet and I felt like it got all over me. I would have preferred more control on a product like this.

    Love SAUCE products

    I really like the SAUCE Sea Salt Hair Spray! It gives my hair a nice boost of texture and makes it look and feel much fuller without feeling heavy or stiff. The scent is fresh and clean and isn’t overpowering at all. It’s easy to use and gives my hair that extra volume and body I’m looking for. Another great product from SAUCE!It doesn’t leave my hair feeling greasy at all, I feel like it is a very effective spray that works and is a great value.

    Solid product for texture, leaves a sticky feel

    I’ve been enjoying this sea salt spray for adding texture and volume to my hair. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and gives a nice flexible hold without making my hair feel too stiff or crunchy. It works well for creating a relaxed, slightly messy look while still adding some body.My only downside is that it leaves a somewhat sticky or tacky feeling in my hair, especially if I use a little too much. I prefer a more natural, clean finish, so that’s something to keep in mind. Overall, it’s a good styling spray that works as advertised, but the sticky texture is why I’m giving it 4 stars.

    Great Beachy Texture and Volume, but My Sprayer Has a Mind of Its Own

    I grabbed this because I wanted the lazy version of styling my natural texture: spray something into towel-dried hair, scrunch a little, air dry, and hopefully emerge several hours later with beachy curls. For the most part, the formula actually delivered. My hair dried with noticeably more volume and texture, and some of the curls around my face and scalp that normally need quite a bit of encouragement showed up nicely on their own.Unfortunately, my atomizer is chaos. Instead of giving me the fine mist shown in the listing, mine shoots a couple of concentrated streams in different directions. I couldn’t tell where the product was landing, some sections were getting drenched while others got nothing, and at one point I was apparently texturizing my mirror and wall. I tried spraying it into my palm, but that felt inefficient. I even attempted to swap the sprayer with one from another hair product, but the bottle has an unusually small connection and nothing I own would fit. Since the listing clearly shows a fine mist, it’s entirely possible I just received a wonky sprayer, but it affects the application enough that I have to dock a star.The good news is that once I managed to distribute the product, I really liked what it did. The sea salt gives my hair that slightly grippy, beachy texture without making it crunchy, while rice protein, coconut powder, and aloe make this a little more interesting than plain salt water in a bottle. I was especially happy with the volume considering I let my hair air dry. I did end up brushing the product through to compensate for the uneven spray and then re-scrunching my curls, but that’s several more steps than the “spray, scrunch, walk away” routine I bought this for.At $13 for five ounces, I think the formula is a good value, and a little should go a long way with a properly functioning sprayer. Mine actually made me waste product because those rogue streams kept landing everywhere except where I was aiming. I’m probably going to transfer it into another spray bottle because I like the results enough to keep using it. Give me this exact formula with a beautiful fine mist and we’ll be having a great time!

    Ok, but didn’t do much for my particular hair.

    This product was maybe just not my preference for my hair. Firstly, the bottle or nozzle seemed leaky and the whole thing was a bit sticky. I was curious if it could define my waves and but curl definition was kind of mid. The smell was light and fresh which is nice. I don’t think shine is what this product is going for, and it didn’t make my hair shiny. I almost felt like it dried out my hair, and even though it wasn’t ‘super crunchy’ it felt a bit like I applied light hairspray. Not a bad product, but not the product for me and my hair, but to each their own! The value is fine, probably pretty standard, if it works with your hair.

    I don’t typically use too many styling products in my hair because I don’t like how they make my hair feel heavy. This SAUCE Sea Salt Hair Spray is completely different. The smell of the spray is pleasant, it’s lightweight and is easy to distribute. It works incredibly well for adding fullness and enhancing my hairstyle throughout the day. And the best thing is, the results are consistent every time. It provides natural looking texture and volume to my medium length hair, and it doesn’t even feel like anything is on your hair. No sticky stiff feeling and it doesn’t make my hair itch, or feel weird after a prolonged period of time. It’s definitely salon quality and a good option for creating a casual, beach inspired hairstyle with a natural feel. If you are looking for a product that styles and helps your hair look healthier and fuller, then this is it.
