    Pleasant Smelling, Truly Texturizing, Curl Creating, Spray. Can Make Hair Look “Beachy” but Dull.

    Having fine, platinum colored hair, I look for products that will tame fly-aways and give my hair some texture and body. Since this Saltie Sea Salt Texturizing Spray claimed to do all three things, I ordered it and have now used it twice. To be honest, I had little confidence that a product that says it creates a “beach wave finish” was what I wanted, but I am pleasantly surprised by the results! Immediately upon spraying this milky white liquid, my hair began to separate and curl slightly. As I scrunched my hair, the curl became more pronounce and the uniform single color of broke into high and low variations of light grey/blond—darker mostly; the product produced a textural change that manifests as curls, increased thickness, and color shifts. In fact, just as the advertising says, it is kind of like I have spent a day walking the beach, salt air in my hair. What I perceived as hype holds true.There are a couple of issues, however. I need to wash my hair at the end of the day after using it because my hair feels stiff and looks a bit dull—just as if I had returned from the beach. I suppose one might go a second day with a mist of water to refresh on day two, but I prefer to wash my hair to avoid having to deal with a kind of dullness that comes with the stiffness. The other problem is that the spray mechanism is strong—the hole where the liquid emerges seems a bit large so that the liquid squirts out in more of a blast than a light spray. The product is not as thin or light as water, though it is liquidy. I have found that if I shake the bottle well and hold it high above and out from around my head, my results are better.For me, this texturizing spray is preferable to gel or wax-based products that are applied from the roots. The spray does more with less product and gives an over-all, obvious effect that looks natural. And, one more thing; it smells great—not like surf, but still great.

    Doesn’t weigh hair down

    I am reviewing: Saltie Sea Salt Hair Texture Spray I Volumizing Spray Adds Texture, Volume, UV Protection, Beach Wave Finish I For All Hair Types (8.5 fl. oz./250ml)This product has a very fresh and pleasant scent. It suggests that you spray the roots and middle length of the hair. It also suggests that you can add more to increase volume.I used it on clean hair without conditioner. I sprayed it onto my shoulder length hair, maybe 6 pumps or so, then blow dried as usual.I can attest to the appearance of more volume. My hair seems more lightweight and fluffy. I also notice increased shine, even after sleeping. There is less rumpl at the crown this morning. I don’t notice any lingering scent, but it was nice last night. This product leaves my hair feeling soft, but maybe a slight bit more dry at the ends.

    Ok not great

    I purchased this product because I usually use Hairstory from New Wash, but I was out and needed something comparable that would come sooner. This seemed similar and was cheaper. It sprays out heavier. My curls do not pop nearly as much and feel heavier. There isn’t a particularly notable smell. Perhaps I would like this more if I diffused my hair, but I don’t have one.

    Smells good, that’s about it.

    I’m definitely disappointed in this product. I got it because I wanted something to Give my wigs a little more volume and bring some of them back to life. I have quite the collection since undergoing cancer treatment. And after some research, I found that getting a product like this can not only Make your wigs look more natural, but It can provide volume and refresh them when they start to lose their waves or curls and such and begin to lay flat.First, the nozzle on this is awful and it doesn’t give you a nice even light spray, it just completely saturates heavily with one pump and that’s probably one of the worst parts because how is that supposed to help create volume? And all this stuff did to the wig that I tried it on was to make it wet In uneven splotches, and cause a ratty mess with tangles and such.I tried it on my own hair and it was just incredibly drying and that’s the last thing my hair needs because it’s already dry and fragile.Literally, the only good thing about this product is that it Kind of smells nice. Who cares about that when it doesn’t work And actually does more harm than good?

    Great Sea Salt Spray that doesn’t weigh down your hair!

    I like using sea salt spray to help thicken and texturize my fine hair. I prefer a tousled, beachy look, but a lot of sprays just leave my hair flat and sticky and needing to be washed every day. This product by Saltie does the job without being sticky or weighing down my hair. With a few sprays on wet hair, I am able to scrunch and let my hair air dry or if I want a more finished, curlier look I can diffuse a bit. Second day, I can add a couple more pumps and revive the waves with the diffuser again. I am very pleased with the effectiveness of this product. My hair is fuller, thicker and looks healthier. The spray looks white in the bottle, but goes on clearly and absorbs quickly. I always shake the bottle really well so it spreads more evenly. It smells sort of like the ocean without being too strong or overwhelming. I appreciate that this spray not have any sulfates or parabens and is uses sustainable sourced ingredients. It is a high quality product at a good price point. It leaves me wanting to try the rest of the Saltie line!

    My new favorite Salt Spray

    Added waves and curl to my hair.  I liked the Saltie Spray because it did not have that crunchy feel that other salt sprays I have tried in the past. Great natural ingredients with a affordable price.

    I have wavy hair and love how this product makes my waves and curls bounce.  It smells absolutely fantastic and it gives the perfect amount of volume.

    Inefficient spray

    My only complaint with this is the spray nozzle. ‘Squirt’ nozzle is more accurate because the product comes out in a thick stream/splotch that covers a very small surface area of hair. I ended up pouring it into a different bottle in order to get a true mist. Without the mist spray, you just don’t get the same kind of coverage and you are going to end up using way more product than you need to, just to get the same effect.The spray has a strong scent which I don’t mind so much, but it does overpower my other hair products. It is sort of lemony/citrus so not offensive. Just strong.Overall, I’ve used better (for me) sea salt sprays in the past so I would pick something else before ordering this again.
