Since the item page has good photos, and it has a good description of this product, I will not bother adding pictures or more of a description.Works just fine on my Norelco 5640 shaver. Just replace your blades with this, They do NOT come with the plastic blade holder, so in order to use these, you plastic retainer still must be in good shape.This head comes with only a singe row or blades. Some updated 3rd part comes with a inner and outer circle of blades, this one doesn’t. The single circle comes with 9 blades. The blades are a bit thin, so might not last as long as a OEM Norelco blade.

They come in a small rainbow colored mylar bag which is easily reusable.I unfortunately ordered the wrong blades for my Shaver, so these don’t fit. I also tried these on a few other shavers that I have and they didn’t work with any of those either.So while these are super well made, and I do think they will work on many Philips Norelco Shavers, it is important to double-check the specific models before ordering. From what I can tell in researching these, the SH50 blades are mostly used on older models and the newest Norelco shavers use different blades (SH91, HQ8, etc.)

Add some lifetime to your old razor
I definitely prefer rotary shavers over foil shavers mostly because I think the rotary shavers are quieter. These replacement blades are a great way to extend the life of my shaver since the blades definitely wear out over time. Here are my thoughts on these replacement blades:* I found the installation very easy once I got the replacement blade properly positioned in the shaver head. The arrow on the blue plastic part the holds the blades in points in the direction of REMOVING the head – so I had to rotate it in the opposite direction to secure it in place.* The letters on the head are different – I’m not sure what these heads point out. These say “MNLIIPRVCVOIOIN”. The originals say “MULTI PRECISION”.* The cut was just as good as the original cut was.* The original heads have a *slightly* smoother feel than these.I hate throwing out these razors, so I’m glad to have a chance to add some time to it!
