It’s not cheap, but one of the very best to maintain hair health.
I have fine straight hair that can never get any body, shine, and with our hard water, my hair get’s super dried out. I have tried many products hair mask, and find them to leave my hair greasy and or weighed down no matter how much I blow dry my hair to give it some lift and body.The scent is really nice, not overpowering as I have sensitive smell issues, which is great. I shampoo, rinse, throw this in my hair for 5 minutes and compared to my store brand products, this blows them away from a shine, softness, and quality.The value for the money seems very expensive, but after trying so many other products for similar price points, I can say that I am a true believer in the shu uemura products, and have purchased their clarifying shampoo, this care mask, and their silk bloom hair mask treatment of damaged hair.

I don’t love it
I don’t love this conditioner, but I don’t hate it either. I honestly was expecting more with a $70 price tag. I really don’t think it performs any better than the salon brand conditioner I typically use which comes in a big bottle for a fraction of the price of this. I will say it did not make my hair feel slippery like normal conditioner when applying and after rinsing which did mean it had a little more volume after blow drying but nothing outstanding. I also am really not a fan of the fragrance. To me, it smells reminiscent of baby powder. I would not re-purchase this item given the fact that it didn’t impress me and comes with a hefty price tag.

If you’re sensitive to perfume scents, this might be a no-go
So before I talk about the good part of this conditioner, I need to talk about the overwhelming scent. The smell is so intense on this mask, it’s almost as if someone spilled a bottle of perfume into it. It’s overpowering in the shower/bath, and then the scent clings to your hair. Fortunately, by the end of the day the smell is not noticeable in my hair. If you’re sensitive to scents, just be aware you’ll have to deal with the smell for 12ish hours. I am one of those people that is sensitive to scents, but if you’re not, then you shouldn’t have an issue with it.My hair doesn’t look weighed down after this mask, but this also makes my hair look much more poofy than most hair masks do. Typically after a hair mask day, I notice my hair looking more sleek. That’s definitely not the case here. I personally don’t love how my hair looks when it’s all poofy, BUT I think that this actually might mean the mask is doing a good job at volumizing my hair.Like, the masks that make my hair look “sleek” are likely just weighing my hair down. If, on the other hand, this mask makes my hair look poofy (“full”) without me even styling my hair (I air dry) it means it’s doing a great job at what it’s supposed to do.So final verdict: If you’re looking for a hair mask to hydrate your hair without weighing it down, you will like this… As long as you’re not sensitive to heavy perfume scents. 5 stars for performance, 4 stars for the intensity of the smell.

Disappointed
I’m disappointed in this expensive hair mask. When it arrived the box was broken apart and there were no safety seals or cellophane wrapping on the box or the product. The hair mask cream is thin, light, and watery. When you tip the jar, the hair mask cream slides from side to side. I have long, fine hair, and this hair mask did not do anything more than my normal conditioners do at a tiny fraction of the cost. In fact, some of my conditioners are much better than this pricey hair mask. I do like the floral scent, however it is strong. Overall, based on quality, quantity, and price, I would not purchase this Shu Uemura Hair Mask again. Don’t waste your money. Amazon sells far better products at a fraction of the cost.

Moisturizing but nothing special
Is this a nice hair mask? Yes. Is it any nicer than hair masks that cost 1/4 of the price? Not for me.I have very long, very thick, wavy hair that tends to be dry and frizzy. This mask did moisturize my hair but I didn’t feel like it moisturized better than less expensive masks. I also didn’t like the scent. It was far too strong for me. I also have so much hair that I feel like this small tub won’t last very long, making the per-use price more expensive than salon treatments for me. My hair did feel nice after using it, and I would likely have given it another star had it been a better value. But the scent would still have deducted a star even if it was cheaper.So for me, I’ll finish using this tub but I wouldn’t order again.

lovely hair mask but Shu Uemura
Shu Uemura is synonymous with high quality, especially in makeup, so I ordered this muroto hair product since my hair has thinned considerably in recent years. I do notice that it makes my hair feel softer and shinier, and it has a lightweight texture and lovely scent. It goes a great job at moisturizing my hair. However, it is costly so I wouldn’t pay full price for it.

Miracle Mask for Fine Hair!
I absolutely love this mask, it is easy to use and made a huge difference in the quality of my hair.First Impression:It came in a nice blue container that had a good amount of product in it. It has a nice scent to it and you don’t have to use too much of it, so it lasts long. It is made with Japanese sea water and recommended for fine hair, which I have.Application and Results:It says to only use it for 5-10 minutes on damp hair after shampooing your hair. As I was washing it out, I could already feel my hair have a soft texture that I hadn’t felt before! After blow-drying my hair it had a bit more volume in it, and more shine as well. It felt incredibly soft and less damaged. One can see in the before and after pictures.Overall:I highly recommend this product for anyone with fine hair that may even be a bit dry or damaged. You get quick results and my hair still feels soft after three days of using it. It is made out of great quality and is value for the money!
