Not a “liquid bandage,” Decent lotion, though.
At the time of this review, the title of this item is “PerpHectSkin Shielding Lotion. Protective Barrier to Restore, Moisturize, Rejuvenate & Repair Thin, Bruise Skin on Arms, Legs & Hands. Liquid Bandage, Waterproof for Scrapes, Burns, and Minor Cuts.” Further, the description describes it in detail as a liquid bandage.Specifically because of the words “Liquid Bandage, Waterproof for Scrapes, Burns, and Minor Cuts.” I thought this was a liquid bandage type product that was waterproof for scrapes, burns and minor cuts, but that was also moisturizing and rejuvenated skin. Silly me. Where would I get such an idea?As far as lotions, go, this seems decent enough. For me, it absorbs into the skin, and what doesn’t, does not dry in 3-5 minutes as stated (It’s been over ten and I’m going to have to just rub it in the rest of the way). It does not seem to create a layer on top of the skin at all. It feels like a nice lotion, and it may even protect, moisturize and rejuvenate, but based on the title and description of this listing, it is not what it says it is. It’s a four star lotion that is mis-labeled. For those who buy it based on the description, it’d be a one star product, as it’s completely not a liquid bandage product of any type and it is not waterproof in the sense of how a liquid bandage is waterproof. It does not, as the description says, “form(s) a tough protective barrier, an all-in-one treatment and waterproof bandage for scrapes, minor cuts and wounds…” Further, it does not “provides flexible coverage for minor cuts, scrapes, wounds, and abrasions.” Nor does it “dry(ies) rapidly to form a protective cover.” It’s a lotion that works into the skin, just like any other lotion.Finally, this comes in a tiny hard/rigid plastic bottle that can’t be squeezed, so it’s very difficult to get out of the container.Hopefully by the time anyone reads this review, the listing is updated to better reflect what is being sold.

Amazing Moisturizer and Skin Protector
I didn’t know what to honestly expect from the item description, but this is amazing at remoisturizing my fry and even cracked / broken dry skin! I tried this first on my dry knuckles and then my calloused palms from working out and it was amazing at making that dead skin seemingly soft again. The dry skin feels less broken and susceptible to bleeding as moving my hands feet less fragile and more normal and moisturized. Amazing product! I can see this being useful in super dry and cold climates as well as just high west and tear areas of the hands and feet, even elbows.

This Seems Most Like a Hand Cream…
I wasn’t really sure what I would be getting when I ordered this, as I wasn’t sure if it was a liquid bandage or a hand cream the way it was advertised- After trying, I have found that it is more of a hand cream. The bottle is small to last long as a hand cream so I would really only use it on the cracks alone if you want it to last. The lotion itself seems to work fine and keep my hands nice and moisturized. It does feel sticky to me for a while after application. I have pretty dry skin but this keeps things from cracking. It does feel like the lotion sets up a bit of a protective barrier on your skin, but not as strong as a liquid bandage would be. It smells a little like glue to me.

Confusing lotion. Big claims, big letdown.
This PerpHectSKIN Shielding Lotion is quite confusing actually. The title makes a bunch of claims about what this does and calls it a “Protective Barrier to Restore, Moisturize, Rejuvenate & Repair Thin, Bruise Skin on Arms, Legs & Hands. Liquid Bandage, Waterproof for Scrapes, Burns, and Minor Cuts.” When it arrived though, it is a tiny, travel sized bottle of lotion that only says it’s “relief for extremely dry hands.” I put it on my arms a couple different times now and there’s really nothing special about it. It doesn’t smell good when you put it on and it starts off slightly challenging to rub in, kind of like sunblock on wet skin. Once I got it rubbed in, I didn’t notice any moisturizing at all. It was like my skin soaked it all up and it was gone, except there was a slight sticky feel to it for a little bit. There was nothing about this that would make me think it would actually work as a liquid bandage or provide any kind of waterproof protection for scrapes, burns or cuts. It also says on the ad that it conceals bruises… um, okay, I don’t have any bruises to try that on right now, but this is a white lotion that rubs in clear. I don’t see how this is going to be covering up any bruises on anyone. It sounded great in the ad but I’m totally unimpressed with the actual product and my skin is still dry.

It improved the dryness immediately and I didn’t feel a residue, even when I washed my hands. As I get older, the skin on my hands is more fragile and I get minor cuts and scrapes easily. This seems to help. Leaves a palpable layer on top of my skin
This cream leaves a comforting layer on my hands. I wash my hands a lot in my line of work and they they become painful with peeling skin at times. This cream provided immediate relief! It doesn’t completely absorb and people who don’t like the feeling of lotion on your skin may like this. It feels more velvety than greasy. I love it!
