    The item arrived on time and was as described. I have yet to use the replacement blades but I am not expecting any surprises.

    Skull Shaver…does it match up to the hype…lets see

    I am bald by choice as I have a mostly full head of hair but prefer the shaved look. The promise of Skull Shaver was enormous in the beginning. I have used a number of other shavers by the usual suspects. Wet/dry or dry they all suffer from largely the same annoyances. Battery life is low, or it doesn’t cut close, or gimmicky cleaning stations, or took forever, or some combination thereof. Along comes Skull Shaver promising to revolutionize the process for the bald domed look. The pros first: exceptional battery life. I can go two weeks or longer between charging cycles. I love that. One less thing sitting on my counter top day in and out. Blades are sharp. Like, really sharp. Out of the box. Ergonomic. Fits comfortably in the hand and you have two selections for this, place the shaver in your palm with the blade mount between your fingers, or (my personal choice) hold the body of the shaver in your palm. Either way it is easy to hold. Now, the cons. Blade life is purported to be 4-6 months. I only shave every other day. I am lucky to get two solid months out of a blade set before it starts to pull or become so dull it is virtually useless. SS claims “90 seconds”, perhaps if you have a Bozo the Clown ring-around-your-head remnants of your hair, but a mostly full head of hair, no way. In addition, after a few uses, the blades have become dull enough that you have to basically grind away on your skull to get a decent cut. So dollar for dollar, I don’t know that this has saved me a dime. Time for time comparisons, not sure it is faster. Quality of shave, is acceptable, but not overwhelming. Ultimately, this is a problem by choice, I do not require this, or any other shaver, but I choose it. And now with several hundred dollars invested I kind feel like I need to ride it out to the bitter end. Recommended a buddy try it out and he claims to have similar results. So maybe the error is not between the shaver and the user…just sayin’.

    Very Valuable

    My husband loves the Pitbull Forte but has to replace the blade every month. It makes the face smooth and it can be used all over the house. The hair is caught inside the shaver, therefore there is not hair all over the bathroom sink or floor.

    I really love my skull shaver. I don’t know what “Stretch” means but if it is referring to face shaving, I opted for a different head. I like it so much that six months ago I added a 4-head that I switch out with the 5-head shaver (that came with it) for my head. I also ordered 5-head replacement blades for it six months ago which were not Pitbull manufacture but were advertised to fit it. They did. Perfectly. I am going to order another 5-head replacement blade set within the next two months just so I have a new one one hand. I have had no problems with the battery, charging, staying charged, using it–it just works! I clean it EVERY time I get through with it and even use a little bit of foaming sanitizing soap that my wife gets locally. My total investment has cost me $149.97. Spread that over the past two years I have owned my shaver and that comes to $6.25 per month. Calculate how much it costs for razor blades over the two years. Very satisfied customer who has received nothing in return for the review.

    Easy but not a close shave

    Most effective on a day or two of stubble. For anyone with a full head of hair it does take some time to go over the same spots again and again to get a consistent length, but is very easy to use and mess-free so it can easily be used while doing something else. Dry shaving is convenient but using the Skull Shaver with shave foam or cream is more comfortable and results in a closer shave. The end result does still leave a slight 5 o’clock shadow. Not as close as an electric foil shave or wet blade shave but convenience and easy cleaning makes it a great option when used daily. Also good for anyone who suffers razor burn as this is an irritation free shave.

    Good replacement head, but prefer the 4 blade version

    Bought this as a replacement blade for my Skullshaver Gold Pro. Fits perfectly and gives a nice smooth shave as intended. However it is not as freely adaptable to contours of the head as the 4 blade version, and cannot be opened to clean.

    Great 5 headed shaver

    Definately get a closer shave than the 4 headed ones I like this head except it dont open up for you to clean it with. Thats the reason for the 4 stars is it wont let me clean it after my shaves like the 4 headed ones do.
