Good for occasional use
This serum (?) does work, but you have to have the wand freshly loaded for the more troublesome fly aways. I am 47 and have a large section of “baby” hair on each side of my temple area that has been an issue my entire life. If it laid flat, that would be fine, but they don’t. They either form into one large curl that goes straight up or just stick up. My mom calls them my wings. They are what I would consider troublesome fly aways when I want to pull my hair up or back. A small headband works for most purposes, but there are times where that doesn’t give a very professional or dressed up look. This stuff did hold them down with a freshly loaded wand. I’m not sure how long the product would last given that, but if not used very often, it will be nice to have on hand. However, be sure that you do plan to wash your hair that night or the next day. I sleep on a satin pillowcase and still found that I had large white flakes from the “glue” substance the next morning.

Good in theory but not in practice
This is super effective but unfortunately leaves a stiff coating on my hair. It’s a very thick formula and slightly tacky right out of the tube. It’s such a viscous consistently though that as soon as it touches hair it creates a drag, a thick coating, and dries very very quickly so it’s tough to go over a spot more than once to really effectively get the results you want.I really wanted to like this but it’s difficult to see how it could be effective with the formula issue as well as the flaky residue it leaves. Formula tweaking could really help this be a great product.

Hair Fixing Mascara
I really like this hair fixing mascara for those small hairs that are always sticking out in my head. It is not thick at all so that makes it easier to apply it.

Ok product? But honestly, do not believe this works.
So I really do not ubderstand this product and I really do not see this working. I tried a before and after… but seriously made no difference.This is sort of like a diluted hair gel placed in a mascara bottle? The wand is too small with too little products to make a difference / cover the desired area especially if you think about the size of your head.Now does the product work? Sort of, it doesn’t look that different tho for me but you do feel it on your hair like when you use hair spray… but like in a small tiny area where the applicator touched.Overall, I do not ubderstand why this a product… currently I use it for my brows but I do not notice enough of a difference to remember all the time.

Perfect for going over those flyaways to tamp them down
The final step in my morning routine is to stand in front of a mirror with light behind it and tame down my flyaway hairs. This Ssenmuri Cara – Stubborn Hair & Flyaway Hair Fixing Mascara is perfect for going over those flyaways to tamp them down. This clear gel has an extremely strong hold, and I apply accordingly. I use a very light hand and go over difficult area a few swipes at a time otherwise it could be too heavy. I also use this on my eyebrows (again, very sparingly) to keep them shaped throughout the day. This gel is strong and very long lasting. If that is your goal, I highly recommend!

More Meh Than Magic
I thought this may be a great tool to have in my purse, a little tube with a wand to smooth down flyaways? Yes please. But unfortunately did NOT live up to the hype.1. The application isn’t smooth. The wand kind of drags and gets stuck in my hair instead of gliding through like I expected…2. The smell is… off. Mostly straight-up alcohol, but sometimes there’s another weird smell mixed in that I can’t place. Honestly, it gave me a bit of a headache.3. Performance-wise, it does give a “lightweight hold” as it claims but too light on my wavy/curly, coarse hair, it just wasn’t enough. It reminds me of an older-style gel, a little crunchy, greasy looking… just not for me overall.

Strong unpleasant scent, makes hair stiff and crunchy
I was using Samnyte hair finishing stick, which is similar to this, but it had no scent, and worked great. I ordered this brand when I ran out, and I’m very disappointed with it.The first thing I noticed was the smell. It has a very strong perfumy scent, that I don’t like. I am sensitive to smells, (they trigger migraines) so just a heads up for others who are sensitive.Due to the smell, I wasn’t able to use it, so I asked my Mom to try it. The smell didn’t bother her, and she thought it worked pretty well on her flyaways. However, too much comes out on the brush, and left her hair stiff and crunchy.She also prefers the previous brand we were using, and it’s 1/4 the price of this brand.
