Forlifa’s 2-in-1 Steam Hair Straightener, is lightweight, heats up quickly and works fast. The ceramic plates are extremely smooth and nonstick. No snags! The plates conduct heat quickly and let my curly hair slide through with ease and no pulling. My hair is naturally wavy and curly, and it gets very big and frizzy when it is humid. This straightener makes my hair smooth, straight, and soft to touch, with “I’ve just been to the salon” like movement. I can use this on the lowest or second lowest setting with nice results. With this straightener, I see there is less damage to my hair, and there is no static in my hair. The steam feature is an extra bonus, I was afraid to use at first because steam is humidity and that is usually my enemy, but now it is my friend… my secret to shiny, silky hair at home. The 360 degree swivel cord is a feature I didn’t know I would enjoy so much too. The outside of the iron does get hot, so I appreciate the included heat resistant glove.I haven’t used a straightener in years because I saw that it was damaging my hair. But now, I feel as though technology has improved so much and my hair is looking and feeling healthier WITH the use of this straightener once or twice a week… along with the conditioning treatments and sleeping on a silk pillowcase. Stopped steaming, and one side stopped heating-after 2 weeks.
Update:The steamerband one side stopped working after about 2 weeks‼️Perfect.I put on the lowest temp., Plus filtered water.No hair loose!!! And does the work perfectly.The ceramic is better then titanium.The mini water tank is excellent, comes with magnet, and extra door.2 things to improve:1.The glove is too small to get into even to a small hand!2.With that price we should get the device with a storage bag.I love that steam hair straigten.I’m waiting for a travel version steem and rechargable!!!

SUMMARY:recommend a silicone mat when setting it down, I used cardboardheats up quicklysteam feature “interesting”, like steam ironing your hair. Just not sure truly if hair would benefit witha conditioner spray as the moisturizer, rather than plain water.(I have to do more research for overall health of hair)but steam straightener does function as described.Took me a bit to memorize the manual as to which button was which.For my eyesight, I found it challenging to know which button does what function.and challenging to read/see the buttons when they are on the inside of the wand.Intuitively, I “thought” the bottom button was the on/off, but it is the center button.Interesting concept to “steam” straighten, while many use just heat.Not sure what the infrared plates truly do.I think of red-light therapy for skin, not necessarily for hair.Price point a bit high compared to many other straightening options.

Easy to use
I’ve been using this steam straightener for a week and I really like it. The steam feature helps with frizz and makes my hair feel less dry compared to my old flat iron. It heats up quickly that I almost burned my carpet without notice 😂 and glides smoothly without pulling.The plates are wide enough to save time, and I love that it comes with a glove for extra safety. My hair looks sleek and shiny after each use. Definitely a good buy!

Makes straightening my hair much easier
I’ve used a lot of different hair tools in my decades of sporting thick, curly hair, but this was my first time trying a steam flat iron. I’m now honestly shocked I haven’t used one before – it’s like using a clothes iron with steam for the first time – you don’t know how anyone irons without it.The big draw to this is the steam and it’s more than just a gimmick. It made my hair straighten much faster than without it. There’s also the satisfying hiss of the steam that’s just so psychologically satisfying. It can be used to straightened your hair, but with the right twirl can be used to curl it as well.Other than the steam, something that I really appreciated is that the controls are on the inside of the unit, so that when you’re turning this you’re not accidentally hitting the power or temperature setting. I really wish more hair tools did this, as this is one of my biggest frustrations when I use hair tools.The straightener comes with a small water bottles with a funnel to help you pour water into the steam unit – though it warns to used distilled only. The unit that provides steam is well designed to not leak water. It also comes with a heat resistance glove that’s a step above other gloves I’ve gotten with tools. This one doesn’t get as hot to the touch, so a glove isn’t as mandatory as some I’ve used, but it’s still a good idea. Overall the tool and included accessories are all high quality. The only thing it’s missing is a storage case – it’s just one of those things that I expect at this price point to protect your investment.Speaking of which – the price has come down to $94.99 at the time of this review from the list price of 139.99 where it was when I ordered it. I think this is a better price point for this tool – whether it’s worth the investment depends on how frequently you use a flat iron. If this were back when I was ironing my hair frequently and it was longer and took about 30 minutes to straighten, this this would be well worth even the list price – I’d pay it without hesitation. Now that my hair is shorter and I wear it curly many days, I’m not sure if the coolness of the steam would be worth the extra cost for more occasional use. So this is a bit of an investment piece, but worth it for someone who has long, thick hair that’s a beast to straighten.

Liked the iron a lot it works well
This is a really nice hair iron. I’m not sure what the infrared is supposed to do but the iron itself works really well. I used it dry without the steam function. You have to hold the power button for a few seconds to turn it on and off which is a nice feature so you don’t accidentally power it or off when not needed. It has the different temperatures that light up. The cord is a really nice quality and can easily be wrapped. The outside gets hot. I have really long medium coarse hair (Italian) and it worked fine. I will continue using it and update if anything unusual happens. I believe it’s a great iron and the price is worth the value for it.

Doesn’t Perform Like the Reviews Suggest
Very disappointed, especially for $100.This straightener requires distilled water (which is mentioned in the listing), but even when used correctly it does not glide smoothly and leaves crinkle/crease marks unless hair is perfectly brushed and positioned. It makes hair look uneven instead of sleek. Also, many of the positive reviews don’t appear realistic—several look like the product was barely used, if at all. For the price, I expected much better performance.
