Nope.
Maybe we got a faulty one. Where the blade is supposed to fit in the blade holders, it was loose. No matter how you adjusted or wiggled or worked at it, the blade stays loose and wobbly in the blade holder. Thought maybe it was user error so pulled it back up on amazon and did what the photo directions say, bc it didn’t come with any directions, but still couldn’t get the blade to snug up in the blade holder. Without the razor blade being snug, its useless and unsafe to use. Husband also got a splinter from the wooden handle while he was trying to get it to work correctly. Like I said, maybe the one we got is faulty. 2 stars just bc its pretty, but it has to go in the trash, can’t use.

A straight razor that works with full-size blades
This razor looks ugly at first, but it is quite functional. It fits in my hand well and doesn’t slip while using. I thought I would have to break the blades to be able to use with this razor, but it actually accepts full blades. This way, I can use the full blades I buy in large quantities for my dad, who uses a double-edge razor. All you have to do with this razor is to flip the blade around when one side goes dull and use the other side. I didn’t try but it looks like it can work with half blades as well. The wood (or at least it looks like wood) handle is large and it doesn’t try to rotate in your hand like some other metal handles that are flat. It is overall built well; maybe not super high quality but not flimsy, either. The price is reasonable.

The wood in the handle cracked from the beginning. Also the blade would slide from the holder and not holding its place right.I did like the curved section of the metal section for grip. But that’s about it.

Basic straight razor, but works great! Using it to cut my wigs…
This Straight Razor with Blades is pretty much your basic straight razor, though it looks quite nice. It also works well. It is ergonomically designed, fits comfortably in my hand, and the blades are rather easy to change out. I’m using it to cut my wigs, as scissors leave too stark of a cut, and a razor cut is much more natural looking, whether using it on wigs or natural hair.The razor comes nicely packaged, along with a set of extra blades, and would be a wonderful starter straight razor for anyone. It would be a great self purchase, or a wonderful gift. Recommended!

Feels good in hand
UPDATE:January 13, 2025My husband loves this razor. He says he hasn’t experienced the razor bumps afterwards like he did with the safety razor. This is now his primary razor and has discarded the safety razor in favor of this one.——————–From my husband:This is my first experience with a straight razor so I don’t really have anything to compare it to. I do like that I am able to just put in a new razor blade when needed instead of having to sharpen it before each use. However, putting the razor blade inside the handle is a bit cumbersome as it is hard to get all the pieces together and ensure the razor blade is correctly placed. I used it this weekend after watching some tutorials on how to use a straight razor. I can say that I was able to use this flawlessly. It offered a clean shave and I was able to sculpt my beard easier than with a safety razor.

Great ergonomic and easy to use!
This is my fourth razor and I have to say this is probably the one I’m most comfortable using. I love the wooden handle. It seems to fit really comfortably in my hand. The wood itself isn’t too heavy- I might have preferred a tad heavier but the handle feels well-balanced overall. The feature that stands out however is the loading system. It takes double edge razor blades and the clasp opens up completely, allowing you to place the blade rather than sliding it in. My other razors always felt sketchy because I risk cutting myself just putting the blade in. I love that this also comes with blades! This is probably my favorite straight razor!
