    Disappointing results for my receding hairlines

    I really wanted this product to work because the concept behind this was interesting to me when I got it, but unfortunately it didn’t work the way I expected. I purchased it specifically to help fill in a receding hairline and make thinning areas look a little fuller, but I found that the fibers had a difficult time sticking where I actually needed them most. The biggest issue is that these fibers seem to rely on existing hair to cling to. In areas where the hairline is already sparse or receding, there simply wasn’t enough hair for the product to attach to effectively. Instead of creating a natural-looking fill, much of the powder either fell away, sat awkwardly on the scalp, or disappeared after a short time. I tried applying it carefully and building up coverage gradually, but the results were still inconsistent. The color match itself was decent and the packaging is okay to use, which is why I’m giving it 2 stars instead of 1. However, for the price, I expected much better performance. If you have mild thinning with plenty of existing hair, you might have better luck. But if you’re hoping to conceal a receding hairline or areas with very little hair coverage, this product may not provide the results you’re looking for, at least it didn’t for me.

    Eh, didn’t work well for me

    I was hopeful that this would work well, but unfortunately it did not. I think if my hair were naturally thicker, it would be easier to kind of blend in and plump the hair even more, but as I am using this product, it is safe to say my hair is on the thin side and I want to make it look less thin, but I guess I don’t have enough hair for it to cling to in a way that it doesn’t show up so much. It just kind of makes my hair look dirty and patchy. I really wanted to like this, but I feel like it’s a mismatch. It is hard to conceal a receding hairline if it requires the hairline to be there for the fibers to stick.

    Making My Hair Appear Fuller, One Fiber At A Time!

    My hair began thinning towards the front center of my scalp over the past few years. In addition to that, the part in the same area appears to be widening. The rest of my hair remains dense. However, in certain lighting, and no matter how I style it, my scalp stands out like a sore thumb at the front. Needless to say, when this Style Edit product was made available to me, I was intrigued, and decided to give it a try.I received a total of two individually wrapped 0.88 oz containers of product. I have dark brown hair, but I went with the light brown color as it was the only option available. Fortunately, below the hair at the root level where I need coverage, the slight color difference isn’t obvious unless you really look closely. That said, I would like to see a larger variety of colors available for those looking for a near perfect match.This product is comprised of small cotton fibers which mimic the appearance of hair. To use, simply apply the fibers as you see fit to the affected areas of thinning. It is my belief that a little goes a surprisingly long way with this product. The fibers stay adhered well, and the natural static from my hair seems to help them not only stay in place, but also stand up a bit, which only makes them resemble hair even more. I’m actually quite impressed!These Style Edit hair fibers have done a darn good job of concealing areas of thinning, which makes my hair appear a bit more full. I’m very happy so far. I’ve not experienced any issues when using this product. It doesn’t fall out inadvertently, it doesn’t clump, and it doesn’t itch. In fact, I barely notice it until it’s time to wash my hair. The fibers wash out with ease and require no extra effort to remove. If you’re someone experiencing a bit of thinning, I’d definitely recommend giving these Style Edit hair fibers a try if you’re wanting a more full appearance!

    Nice product for concealing thinning hair/wider parts

    I have used a well-known brand of something similar in the past, but full of chemicals and with a much longer list of ingredients. My hair stylist had told me back then that it was very bad for my scalp and pores, so to not use it frequently, so I stopped.And now, I use genuine human hair toppers quite often to conceal a wide part and thinning hair. Toppers have been a wonderful help in confidence and no one ever knows I’m wearing them, but sometimes, you just don’t want to have one on your head. So I wanted to try this Style Edit hair building fibers to see if this product could allow me to go without a hair topper more often and still feel ok about myself. First impressions after using it are very much positive. I really like that this is made primarily of cotton. Obviously it has other things in it too, but only a few ingredients in total, and it definitely feels much less itchy and irritating than that well known brand I had tried in the past. These fibers really only got a little bit it itchy when I put on way too much, just to see how it would react when sprinkled in overabundance.As for how it looks, the light brown did a great job of making hair near a wide part and on a less than voluminous crown look much fuller and thicker. This was a really great find, and it felt wonderful to just put my hair up in a clip in a quick updo and go out and about without wearing a cap, headband or topper for the forwt time in a long time. The fibers container, once the top is removed, has fine holes, like even smaller than salt shaker sized holes, which helps you to control how much you sprinkle onto your head.Depending on how often this is used and the extent of the hair loss of the person using it, for most people, I think it will last for a long while, and is a reasonable option to try. It seems like a pretty good value for the amount of and quality of the product received.

    Works Better for Thinning Hair Than Bald Spots

    This product helped somewhat, but it didn’t completely deliver the results I was hoping for.I have some thinning areas and a bald spot, and while the fibers did help reduce the contrast between my hair and scalp, I found that I had to apply quite a bit of product to get noticeable coverage. Even then, the results were only moderate.To be fair, part of the issue may be my hair rather than the product. If you still have enough surrounding hair for the fibers to attach to, I can see this working much better. In areas where the hair is very thin or mostly gone, there’s only so much any product can realistically do.I also suspect there is a bit of an art to applying and blending it properly. With more practice, I may be able to achieve better results than I did initially.Overall, it provided some improvement, but not enough for me to consider it a complete solution. Your results will probably depend heavily on how much hair you still have in the areas you’re trying to cover.

    I had zero expectations! I won’t lie. I did. However, i actually love the results! This Style Edit Hair Building Fibers for Thinning Hair works GREAT!I used to have THICK beautiful hair. As I got older, my hair started to thin. By the time I hit 40, I feel as if I have lost 1/3 of my thickness. I can see it in my hairline and I do not like it. This is a game changer! It’s not a spray that if obvious. This is a very light and fluffy powder that, I’m describing this accurately, gently fills in your hairline without making it look like you’re filling in your hairline. I absolutely love it! I got the color light brown. My hair is a dark/medium brown, but darker browns look obvious, and this was a PERFECT tone for my hair color! It comes in a bottle with little holes in the top, just like a bottle of powder would. You shake a little out and gently pat it into your styled hair. It stays all day. It doesn’t “drop” down on my forehead or rub off anywhere it shouldn’t. It really does work very well. My hair continues to look healthy and shiny. You literally cannot tell it’s in there. I genuinely do love this product! It has helped my self confidence. I’m extremely happy to have stumbled upon this. It washes out easily and fully in the shower with normal shampoo use. It has no odor at all. None whatsoever. It’s a sincerely wonderfully made product. I highly recommend it. I believe the price point is great. You will get many uses out of each bottle and two come per order. This will last you a significant period of time. The price point is fantastic given what it does and the quality of the product. It’s definitely a high quality hair product for men and women with thinning hair and are looking for a daily little touch up for the issue. Most cosmetic concealers or synthetic powders are too heavy creating a suffocating layer that blocks the scalp and causes congestion. This plant based option has been a great way to handle the interim, providing immediate density without interfering with my other daily scalp steps.​The approach that works best for me is a strict order of operations. Every leave-in scalp treatment or topical product happens on a completely bare, fresh scalp first. The scalp needs to be entirely clear for those leave-ins to absorb properly without any physical barriers. Once those steps are finished and my hair is completely dry, these fibers go on as the absolute final step.​Since these micro fibers are made from cotton rather than heavy synthetics, they feel completely lightweight and breathable on my crown. I shake them lightly over the areas where my thinning is more prominent and they create an immediate physical attachment to my existing strands. A quick gentle pat with my fingertips locks the natural static bond into place. It does a fantastic job of blurring the look of my exposed scalp adding realistic fullness without looking powdery or caked on.​The coverage stays secure through daily movement yet it washes out easily with shampoo on wash days.
