UPDATE: OK. So this does technically use heat becuase I just saw the listing instructions and you have to heat it up. To be fair the box had no English instructions so I didn’t know this. That changes everything. This is now a solid 5.You know, I keep thinking I am just using this wrong. I love the idea of this and how seemingly easy it is to use. I opened this and I expected to smell a sweet smell, cause ummmm sugar right? but nah there is absolutely no smell, or none that I have noticed. The consistency is soooooo smooth and looks so satisfying to dig into, but its extremely hard. I really wanted to like this, but is there some kind of way to soften the sugar? It also doesn’t get all the hairs when I did try it. It took me a bit of effort to be able to spread the sugar stuff evenly on my legs. The previous person obviously didn’t even use this because they mentioned it has no strips, but it does. It also came with a plastic spatula to help with application. This would easily be 5 stars if the sugar stuff was a lot softer and more spreadable. Please correct me if I am using this wrong, but for now I will leave this at a solid 3.

Amazing for a first timer
So I will start by admitting this was my very first experience sugaring and this paste was amazing. It was slightly more painful than using hard wax but only on my first few patches. This paste removed 98% of the hair from my legs and pits and I only used 1/8 of the product. Going through with tweezers after it was clear that this paste works much better on thicker hair (all that was left was thinner hairs I had to collect). I really appreciated this kit came with both strips and a card. It also washes off SO easily. Highly highly recommend.

Not for Beginners
First time trying this sugar waxing thing! Although I haven’t been diagnosed with PCOS, I suffer from unwanted facial hair and wanted to try an alternative at home method besides tweezing! Why did I want to be so fancy and choose this sugar wax option?! Anyways, everything is in Chinese so I had to come back to the Amazon description to see what to do. Y’all whoever said it’s a no mess application must be a professional esthetician. I was a hot sticky mess trying to get my “beard” off…LOLIT’S A NO FOR ME!!! but I didn’t return it cuz I might try it again…LOLFUN FACT: the wax gets hot fast so make sure you stir it really good and do a light blow when it’s on the stick (you know how they do at the nail shop)And don’t go looking for a video cuz you won’t find one with me looking like Chubaka.

Do A Skin Patch Test
I was excited to use Allongs Sugar Wax Removal Kit for the bikini area. The price was cheaper, and the jar was bigger than the Sugardoh brand I previously used. It also contains the same ingredients. The product is very thick so I was sure it would work wonders for hair removal.I did a skin patch test, which is something a person should always do when they are trying a new product. The moment I applied it to my inner arm it irritated my skin. At first I thought it was just the stickiness, and it would stop but after almost 2 hours I had to remove it. My skin was red, inflamed, and sensitive to touch. No way was I putting this anywhere near my lady parts!I wanted to see if my skin was just sensitive, or if it was the product. So, I put the other brand of wax on the opposite arm and it was no irritation at all. The only difference in the ingredients, is the other brand uses purified water and organic citric acid, which means less chemicals. I will not give this a bad rating because it’s refund eligible, and our bodies respond differently to different things but please do a patch test.

Smooth skin, bit of a learning curve but an enjoyable experience overall
I’m new to sugar waxing and wanted to give something new a try. I thought the process of boiling my own sugar and using a candy thermometer sounded unappealing and unsafe, so I was happy to find a ready-to-use kit that came with everything. The kit includes the wax, applicator, and strips.When I first opened the jar, the wax was hard as a rock which threw me off. I wasn’t sure what to do at first, then after some research I found that you should microwave it for about 45–50 seconds total (in short bursts). It melted to a smooth and thick consistency that was easy to stir and spread. I would have liked if the jar were a bit wider so I could mix it more comfortably without the fear of it spilling. Definitely do it over a mat or something you don’t care about just in case it makes a mess.The application process was simple. I put the warm wax on with the plastic spatula, laid a strip down, smoothed it out, and ripped. It hurts about the same as normal wax does, but I was surprised at how well it removed both long and short hairs, especially around dense areas. There was not much stickiness left behind. I took a shower after and everything cleaned right up. You could probably also just rinse with cool water if you don’t want to take a whole shower. Very convenient because there’s no need for alcohol or special removers.I’ve been waxing for years with a wax warmer, and overall I’d say this is a pretty easy kit to use once you get the hang of it. It’s gentle on my sensitive skin and I didn’t have any irritation or redness. It also smells really nice, like dessert or caramel. I’d recommend giving this a shot if you’re curious about sugar waxing.

At home waxing DIY
This was my first time sugar waxing but I think I picked it up pretty quickly after watching a couple videos on sugar waxing and looking at the instructions listed on this one I was ready to give it a shot! There’s definitely a learning curve as someone that has never waxed at home before. But it wasn’t as painful as I expected and I’m excited to have a kit to DIY it myself at home. For the price it’s a fraction of what one wax would cost on one body part so really so much better to just do it yourself at home the pain in the same plus it’s just more comfortable for me to be at home. I microwaved this for 10 second intervals for about 45 seconds although I think I might’ve overdone it because the middle was pretty hot and I was not mixing between microwaving intervals. I really like that this comes with the spatula so I didn’t have to use my hands, especially with fake nails that would’ve been extra messy so the spatula is appreciated. Also came with wax papers which I did appreciate and it is my preferred method for waxing it is oddly satisfying being able to see the hair on the sheet after you pull a strip off. I liked that if I got too scared I had the peace of mind that I could just wash the wax off although it wasn’t necessary! Don’t be scared! You got this!

Product great, container too small to stir
Allongs Sugar Wax is a great product. At the time of ordering, it was priced at 19 dollars for 10.5 oz Of wax, strips, and applicator. Of course you can make sugar wax at home but do you really want to use a candy thermometer and risk burning yourself. Nah, not me.The instructions on the container is all in Korean. I took off the foil and microwaved this product for 30 secs and then heated some more in 5 sec increments. I think it took 50 seconds in total. I think I could’ve done more but was impatient. During the process, I was wishing the container was bigger so I could stir the product with ease. Also during application, there was that annoyance that the container wasn’t bigger and always the threat of the product spilling out and things getting messy.Application was easy and this product removed leg hair easily, but the thing is I’ve been waxing for years, so my hair pulls out easily. No pain and no irritation. With beeswax, there is always stickiness that remains so you have to remove it with rubbing alcohol or something, but with this wax I didn’t have to do anything. No lingering stickiness. With the applicator, I just washed it with cold water, not even hot and it washed right off. Easy peasy.And of course this smelled good. Like sugar and honey.
