Avoid – dangerous, can still be switched on despite being in locked state
Dangerous! I discovered today that the hair straightener is turning on even when its locked. I was carrying it in my laptop bag in the car and when I removed the laptop at work it was burning hot, the locked straighteners had been inadvertently switched on while locked. Luckily nothing was destroyed but this means now that I cannot really carry with me for travel etc without continuously checking that its still turned off. Previous reviewers have pointed out that the straightening arms of the device do not align and this is correct but I was still able to get a decent straightening on my fringe, however going forward will have to be super vigilant if carrying in a bag and being able to bring it on hols with me was kinda the point!
