Strong Hold Without the Crunch or White Residue

I have a lot of hair, and apparently my hair has decided that every single little flyaway deserves its own independent career. So I’m always interested in anything that promises to actually keep those little escape artists in place without making my hair look crunchy or covered in product.That’s what made me want to try this NARKA Super Fix Hair Mascara. I especially liked that it has two different brushes because flyaways around the crown and baby hairs around the hairline really aren’t the same job.The larger screw-style brush is great for smoothing down those random hairs that like to stick straight up or puff out around the sides of my head. Then the smaller, firmer edge brush gives me much more control around my hairline. I can use it to smooth everything into place or actually shape my baby hairs when I want a more polished look. Having both brushes built into the same little tube makes it much more convenient than trying to carry around a separate edge brush and styling product.The hold is the part that really impressed me. This isn’t one of those products where everything looks perfect for five minutes and then your flyaways slowly begin plotting their escape again. Once it dries, the hair stays where I put it. Even better, it doesn’t leave behind the white residue I’ve experienced with some edge-control products, and my hair doesn’t feel like I’ve shellacked it into place.I also appreciate that the finish isn’t excessively crunchy or stiff. There’s definitely enough hold to make a difference, but my hair still looks like hair. That’s important to me because I want my edges and flyaways controlled, not preserved in a tiny museum exhibit.The formula also contains biotin, argan kernel oil, and vitamin E, and I like that the styling product doesn’t leave my hair feeling dried out after using it. The texture is lightweight enough that I don’t feel like I’ve added a heavy layer of gel to my hair.And then there’s the scent. The grapefruit and mandarin combination gives it a bright, fresh citrus opening, with a softer sweetness underneath. It’s noticeable when I’m applying it but doesn’t strike me as an overpowering hair fragrance, which I appreciate.If I had one small caveat, it’s that this is a very strong-hold product, so if you’re only looking for something to lightly tame a couple of wispy hairs, you may not need this much styling power. For thicker, coarser hair or anyone who has stubborn flyaways and edges that refuse to cooperate, though, that’s exactly what makes it useful.At around $14, I think this is a great little styling product to keep in a purse, makeup bag, or bathroom drawer. The compact size makes it easy to take with me, the dual brushes are genuinely useful, and the hold is much better than I expected from something this small.Overall, I’m really impressed with it. It gives me the strong, clean hold I want without flakes, white residue, or that stiff, crunchy feeling I don’t want. My flyaways may still have opinions, but at least now I have something capable of overruling them.

Works Perfectly But Strong Scent

The product comes with 2 brushes. The brush that you use to place the hair mascara and another thicker brush to even out the product. It’s a perfect size to keep in your purse for on the go. It also works amazingly for bangs. Helps them keep their shape. The product does harden but doesn’t give you hair a shiny or stiff look. Only bad thing about the product is the smell. Grapefruit isn’t a bad scent but it’s a bit overdone here.

I have thick, coarse hair that laughs in the face of most styling products, so I went into this with cautious expectations — but the Super Fix Hair Mascara gripped and tamed my flyaways and edges in a way that felt intentional for my hair type rather than a one-size-fits-all afterthought. The wand applicator gives you real control over exactly where the product goes, which I appreciated for targeting my crown area and hairline without globbing product all over sections that didn’t need it. I’ve worn it through a full workday, including a windy afternoon outside, and my edges and baby hairs stayed laid without that chalky, crunchy residue that cheaper edge products tend to leave behind on coarser textures. If you’ve got thick or coarse hair and you’ve been burned by products that work beautifully on fine hair but do absolutely nothing for yours, this one was clearly formulated with your hair type actually in mind.

NARKA Super Fix Hair Mascara

I have a lot of baby hairs that I am always struggling to contain when my hair is pulled back. I love Korean skin and haircare products and recently ordered Narka’s Super Fix Hair Mascara. This is a small tube of hair gel style product that comes in a small tube. Inside the tube, there’s a small, standard mascara looking wand. WIth that want, you are able to smooth the flyaways back. Then, once the wand is tucked away, you can use the toothbrush style brush to brush those hairs back to be nice and smooth. This is all very easy to do. Once it is smoothed back, it dries really well and does a great job of holding those baby hairs in place, but does so without it feeling dry or crunchy at all. I can feel the product but it’s no different than a very fine mist of hairspray. Compared to hairspray, it holds better and does a great job of keeping those hairs in place while looking natural.This has the slightest sweet and citrus fragrance that dissipates quickly and is not overpowering in any way. The ingredients are thoughtful; argan oil, biotin and vitamin e are front and center. It is easy to use and in less than one minute, I can have all those baby hairs tucked away. I have used other styles of hair mascaras in the past and this one is definitely my favorite so far. I love the secondary brush to smooth out the product without having to use my hands or a larger brush. This is a nice product that is of good quality and delivers on its promises. And, the price is fantastic! If you suffer from unruly flyaway hairs, I absolutely recommend giving this one a try!
