My new go-to hair oil!
I have “difficult” hair, and have tried many different oils and leave-in conditioners to help tame my dry ends and humidity-related frizz. This oil is the best I have found, and I have used many.First of all, it is elegantly packaged, and the dropper makes for easy dispensing with no leaking or dripping. The oil is a consistency that makes it easy to apply–it’s not thick and sticky, like some other rosemary oils I’ve used. I love the scent; I am extremely sensitive to smells, and while this, of course, smells like the oils that it is made of (mainly rosemary and citrus scents), I find the scent to be light and not overpowering. I use this oil primarily for protecting the ends of my hair before blow-drying, and it leaves my hair soft and flowing, not stiff and greasy like some oils. I’ve even used it on my bangs, and even if I apply too much and they look a bit greasy, within a short time the oil is absorbed and my hair look great. That it is beautifully packaged, contains organic ingredients, and is made in the USA, are all plusses!

Used for beard
My husband actually uses this for his beard sometimes. With winter his face dries out and its hard for him to keep his face moist under the beard. So after he showers he will massage this deep into his skin and the next day his face feels much better. We have tried other beard oils, but the scent is normally super strong for how much he needs. This was much better and not as heavy of a smell as his traditional beard oils. He says it has helped a bunch and uses it a few times a week.

Nice product, dropper seems to not work super great
This hair oil has clean ingredients in a glass bottle which I am a fan of, however the dropper doesn’t seem to work very well. It could be that the dropper I got was just a defective one and not all of them have this issue. As for the oil, it is a nice consistency and has a light herbal smell to it. I have used it two or three times leaving it on for 30min to a couple hours after massaging it into the scalp and bringing it down to the ends of my bob length hair. It has helped to smooth some of the perimenopausal wiry hairs that have been annoying me and it conditions my hair and scalp so it feels really smooth and soft after use. I wash afterwards with Oliveda shampoo and use the Oliveda hair and scalp treatment and my hair feels super silky. I have used and liked Oliveda’s hair and scalp oil, but that wasn’t in my budget this month so when I ran out of that, I opted to try this more affordable option. While this doesn’t feel as luxe as Oliveda’s oil, I will likely repurchase this when I run out of it to be more friendly on the budget. Definitely sticking to Oliveda shampoo and conditioner (aka hair and scalp treatment) for washing my hair though, it makes my hair happy.

Love this hair oil for a dry scalp treatment
This Terra Lotus Organic Hair Oil is a wonderful and nourishing hair oil. I find it immediately quenched my scalps thirst after applying. I mostly use it on my scalp as opposed to my actual hair. It is most effective for me that way. For my kids I apply it to their roots mostly as well. But I do apply a bit to their individual strands after applying their curl creams. The fragrance of Rosemary is very strong. The strong smell of rosemary and mint is actually a great repellant against lice as well. This gives it a wide range of uses and capabilities. The built in repellent is great for elementary school kids. It is also super easy to apply to your scalp with the built in gentle eye dropper cap.

The answer to my dry hair and scalp.
Yet again I need to leave a 5 star review for a Terra Lotus product. I love the citrus scented soap and the Tallow Honey Balm. I always keep an extra on hand because I never want to run out. Now I have a new favorite. The Organic Hair Oil is amazing. I have sensitive skin along with dry hair and itchy scalp. I just use a small amount and work it into dry hair every other day. My scalp is no longer itchy and my hair looks healthier. I do not find it greasy. I suppose you could if you use too much. I am sold on another Terra Lotus product. Thank you for the care and research you have taken to ensure a quality product. You have a fan for life.

Using it for telogen effluvium, it’s great.
I’ve used rosemary oil-based hair growth oil in the past after telogen effluvium (years ago) with VERY good results. And I mean after a year and a half of some of the hair just not seeming to grow back. I’m talking thinning spots visible on my scalp and my ponytail going from thick and lush to limp and scraggly-looking at the ends because so much had fallen out. It was about 60% of total hair volume lost (thankfully I started from extremely thick hair). Some grew back, and then nothing else for well over a year until I started using a rosemary and castor oil product. So yes, rosemary and castor oil CAN absolutely work in many cases, I can personally attest to that.So that brings me to my current situation: thanks to some health issues and meds, I ended up with telogen effluvium again. I noticed more hairs coming out when I was washing, and I almost always air-dry my hair so when more hair was combing out than usual I was immediately suspicious. Then it kicked into high gear and I was playing Cat’s Cradle every time I shampooed because my hands were gunked up with double handfuls of hair. My paddle brush was knitting quilts every time I brushed. I said some bad words that I can’t repeat in this review, got online and saw this oil and ordered it.This particular oil is packed to the gills with all kinds of scalp loving goodness. The castor oil and rosemary oils are total powerhouses (both oils are said to block DHT), and then there are all kinds of other rich oils to take it to the next level. The smell is a little loud: it smells like walking into a health food store, but like times 10. I mean, when I took the dropper cap out, it wasn’t like the smell was blasting my hair back or anything, but it’s definitely fragrant. It’s not terrible, and any rosemary hair oil smells like this. Just know that if you rub this over your scalp and international spies break into your home, you will not be able to hide because they will find you by smell. And it is a thick oily concoction – this isn’t a thin serum. I apply it before bed – I don’t care if my pillowcase smells like a Natural Foods beauty section: this is serious business go time; I refuse to go nearly bald again. I also apply a bit before working out – I feel like my scalp heating up and sweating does extra duty somehow. I have no idea if this is true, but it makes me feel proactive. I’ve used it 3 days in a row now, and I swear less hair came out when I washed my hair today. I usually wash every 3rd day, but I wash every day when I use a hair oil like this. I also feel like having this oil slathered all over my scalp and hair roots, when I wash and condition, is making my hair air-dry a little heavier and denser and smoother. That is ALWAYS a plus for me, my hair is freaking ridiculous. It normally wants to dry like Albert Einstein; except I don’t get the extra IQ. Just frizz.Anyway, to stop my rambling and wrap up this review: This is a FANTASTIC formula, it has all the right stuff and it’s a great price. A little goes a long way, and I love the rounded end of the dropper. Makes running it over my scalp feel nice. It’s organic and made in the USA.

Decent Hair Oil
I really appreciate the ingredient list in this oil, it’s thoughtfully formulated and aligns well with what I already use in my hair routine. The blend of rosemary, mint, jojoba, castor, and Brazil nut oil feels nourishing without being heavy. I mainly use this oil as a pre-poo treatment, and it softens my hair beautifully while keeping my scalp comfortable and refreshed. It smells ok as well.I’ve also been using it after washing to seal my ends, and it does that job exceptionally well—my ends stay moisturized and protected without feeling greasy. A little goes a long way. Fragrant rosemary, ends and scalp moisturized
I wanted to try this hair oil for dry scalp and dry ends treatment, as I have both. The oil comes in a bottle with a built in dropper for easy dispensing. I just put a some drops in fingers, rub together and massage into my scalp and repeat for scalp coverage and hair ends. The scent is obviously rosemary and it smells lovely. I don’t find the scent to linger for hours, perhaps it soaks in or I just don’t notice it by midday. After using for a week, I do think my scalp is less dry and hair ends seem slightly less straw like. Nothing “cures” split ends except for a hair cut, so don’t expect damage to be gone. I find that it absorbs and does not leave my hair looking greasy, but I don’t have oily hair or scalp, so your experience may differ. In terms of value for the money, I think this rosemary hair oil is in the higher midrange regarding price, but it is organic and made in the USA which I appreciate. I have enjoyed using this hair oil, but only time will tell if it has any effect on hair growth.
