    Works well, strong smell

    I admit that I was a little turned off by the scent of this the first time I used it. It’s a very strong melon/fruity scent and not something that I normally like. But it doesn’t linger after my hair is dry, so I only took off a single star.Other than being a bit overly perfumed, this heat protectant is doing great things for my fine, thin hair. I spray it on and comb it through, then let it sit while I do my skin care. I have a shoulder length bob and most days I blow dry with a round brush, but sometimes I go all in with the straightener, so I need something that will protect my hair from the hot tools and this spray is delivering. It also seems to speed up my drying time, a definite plus. As for humidity blocking, I think it delivers there as well, although to be fair I use a hair spray that does the same thing.The best thing about this is the bottle. A lot of pump spray bottles start to clog up after a while and it gets hard to get a good mist out of them. I haven’t had that problem at all with this one. It’s also a good size at 6oz, larger than some of the other brands out there and at the same price point, which makes it a good value. I’ll buy it again.

    Living in a humid climate is a struggle for my hair, but this spray does a solid job of keeping the frizz at bay all day long. It’s incredibly lightweight and doesn’t leave any crunchy or stiff residue, so my curls still feel soft and touchable. It also works as a great detangler, which saves me a lot of time during my morning prep. I’m giving it four stars because you have to be careful not to overspray, or it can get a little oily.

    Great for curly hair & blow outs

    I have been trying to take better care of my 4B hair lately and this product actually surprised me in a good way. The first thing I noticed was how lightweight it felt. A lot of hair products claim to moisturize but end up leaving buildup or making my hair feel greasy. This one gave my hair softness and shine without weighing it down.I actually used this for a blowout on my hair and I noticed once I applied the product and penetrated it in well, I also let it dry. When I say this performed really good. I keeping my hair silky and defending it from the humidity here in the south this product did amazing.I found that it made my blowout last about two days longer, and I was able to flip it around in the window a lot more without it being puffy 20 minutes laterPersonally, I am a curly hair chick. My hair is natural coil with lots of shrinkage and this product really did good at getting to my roots and not leaving behind any residue that makes my hair stiff.I mainly used it to help with dryness and manageability and I noticed my hair felt easier to comb through after using it consistently. It also helped my hair look healthier overall instead of dull and frizzy. The scent is noticeable but not overpowering, which I appreciated because strong hair product smells can get overwhelming fast.A little goes a long way so the bottle lasts longer than expected. I would definitely recommend this for anyone trying to add moisture and softness to their hair blow out routine without making their hair feel coated or sticky.

    This The Mane Choice The Alpha Humidity Block Heat Protectant Spray says right on the front of its label that it is silicone free. This statement caused me some confusion.I thought that silicone was good at protecting the hair from heat? Also, I very distinctly remember reading an article about how eating cucumbers is good for the hair because cucumbers contain silica. I guess I need to ask the internet and see if there is a difference between silicone and silica?I don’t use hot hair tools on my hair very often. I feel like heat causes my hair to frizz up.The biggest issue that I have with my hair is that I have a lot of broken hairs at the top of my head. Because of that I am always looking for a new hair tool or a new hair product that might help me .When I flat-ironed my hair using this The Mane Choice heat protectant spray it did a good job of controlling my hairstyle, however, I thought that my hair looked a bit dry afterwards. Then I remembered how this heat protectant spray said that it was silicone-free. Looking at my hair and seeing how dry it looked after flat ironing my hair using this The Mane Choice The Alpha I thought that maybe this spray ought to contain some silicone? Maybe if it did my hair wouldn’t look so dry.A few days later I got the chance to try out a shampoo and conditioner that came in the form of a bars that looked like bar soap. As I wrote my review for that new bar shaped shampoo and conditioner I realized that my hair had actually been looking dry for some time right. It usually took my hair several days to week after being freshly washed to start looking shiny again.I hadn’t paid much mind to it until I used the bar style shampoo and conditioner. My hair felt and looked moisturized and shiny immediately after using them. For that reason I can’t blame this The Mane Choice heat protectant spray for making my hair look dry after I flat ironed it.The presentation of this heat protectant spray is very sleek. I like that. This heat spray has a light citrus smell.I have tried a couple other heat protectant sprays that I like better than this one. I have also tried a few that I liked less than this one.As I mentioned I use hot hair tools on my hair only occasionally. This is nice sized bottle of spray. It will last me quite some time. For that reason I find this The Mane Choice The Alpha Humidity Block Heat Protectant Spray to be a good value.

    Great frizz control

    Bought this because I was desperate for something to contain my hair in this summer humidity. This product does a great job, definitely noticed a difference and my hair felt soft. To me it smells so good, like mangos.

    A positive change to my hair!

    I have thick, wavy and frizzy hair. I used this for the first time today and am thrilled with the results. The spray on my damp hair really helped with the round brush and blow dryer and then, when using the straightener, I didn’t use any of my usual heat protectant spray to help with the straightening.

    Very easy to use have had no issues

    This has a very good spray and it is very easy to use. I spray my hair before I want to use my straightener and it allows for my straightener to not damage my hair and also gives me a frizz control. The spray itself is not oily. And it really defines my strands of hair when using. You can use this before you curl or before you iron the hair. It does allow the hair to get more softer and smoother and a more relaxed look. I love the protection that it provides, and I use this a few times a week with no issues.

I sprayed it on damp hair before blow drying and had no frizz even in humid weather.It also protects from heat. I used it with a hair straightening iron and my hair did not feel dry or damaged. The ends stayed soft and shiny.It helps with detangling too. My comb went through my hair easily after spraying it.The spray is lightweight. It does not leave my hair sticky or heavy. It also does not take away volume.I have used it for 3 weeks with my blow dryer and flat iron. My styles last longer and my hair looks healthy. The 6 oz bottle sprays evenly and lasts a while.This product works great for frizz control and heat protection. I will buy it again.
