Not For Me
As a Black woman, I wanted to branch out and try this brand’s shampoo along with the Bouncy Curls Knot Free Detangling Milk, hoping they would work well together. The shampoo barely lathered on my 3c-4b coily, curly hair; in fact it sat on top even when my hair was fully drenched. It left my hair feeling frizzy and not as manageable as I’d like, which was extremely disappointing.Afterward, I applied the detangling milk, which is supposed to melt through knots and cut detangling time in half. Sadly it did not provide the slip or detangling effect it promised in any way, shape or form. I still had to use one of my usual conditioners to make my hair more manageable. Using both products together didn’t give me the results I was hoping for, so I’ll be sticking with my regular routine that works much better for my texture.I will say that if you are looking for volume these products will work well. I was not looking for a ton of volume, because to me that says that these products repelled the water from my hair, leaving it lacking in hydration.

Great Slip for Soft, Manageable Curls
My family has naturally curly hair, so I am always looking for products that make detangling easier without leaving hair feeling greasy or weighed down. This detangling milk has been a wonderful addition to our routine. Makes Detangling Curls So Much Easier
I absolutely love this Bouncy Curls Knot Free Detangling Milk! It has a smooth, creamy consistency that gives the hair excellent slip, making knots and tangles much easier to work through. My comb glides through with less pulling, which makes the entire detangling process quicker and much more comfortable.I also like how soft and moisturized the hair feels afterward. The formula with shea butter, panthenol, and baobab protein feels nourishing without making curls feel overly heavy or coated. It works especially well when applied in sections, allowing the product to distribute evenly from roots to ends.Another great feature is that it can be used between wash days to refresh curls and make them easier to manage. After detangling, the hair feels smooth and ready for curl cream, gel, or another styling product.The 8-ounce bottle is convenient and easy to incorporate into a regular hair-care routine. Effective, moisturizing, and gentle on curls. Definitely a five-star product for me!

The Roots Naturelle Bouncy Curls Knot Free Detangling Milk, 8 oz
This is my new go-to product. I have fine wavy/slightly curly hair, I do not need detangler but I need curl definition without crunch. That is exactly what this provides for me.Once a week, I wash/condition/rinse, then add a quarter size dollop to my soaking wet hair and drag it through (mostly ends and a little bit at the roots), then I scrunch and air dry. I have been getting a decent amount of curl/wave. not as much as when I use mousse or gel but the benefit is that it feels so soft and no crunch. I see some reviewers don’t like the scent, but to me it is very nice.I’m not sure this product was intended for my type of hair but I love it, It has been giving me exactly what I want (soft curls) without a greasy look.

Love this stuff
I have been using this after every shower, and it has made a surprisingly noticeable difference in how my hair dries. My hair is naturally wavy, but this really helps bring out the curl pattern and gives me much more defined, voluminous curls.The finished result actually looks similar to what I get when I intentionally do heatless curls, except I am getting that effect just from applying this to my damp hair and letting my natural texture do its thing. It gives my waves more shape and bounce without needing to spend extra time styling them.It also works nicely as a detangling product, which makes it easy to work through my hair after washing. I especially appreciate getting both the detangling and styling benefits from one product rather than layering several different things into my hair.This has become a regular part of my after-shower routine. If you have wavy hair that sometimes needs a little encouragement to decide whether it actually wants to be curly, this is definitely worth trying.

Curly, coily, and wavy covers a pretty wide range
I have fine, wavy hair. I used to get a straightening perm because it saved me a lot of time in the morning. All I had to do was let my hair air dry. Besides the cost, I started becoming more concerned about long-term hair damage, so I stopped getting perms and began trying different hair products, including leave-in treatments and hair oils.To give this a fair review, I used it every morning after showering for a little over a week. It does work, but not consistently enough for me to figure out exactly what makes the biggest difference. I also looked through other reviewers’ tips and experimented with using different amounts.A few observations:* It works best on damp hair, not soaking wet hair that’s still dripping.* It does a decent job of reducing frizz, but it also leaves my hair looking a little oilier than I’d like.* Many reviewers mentioned the scent as a negative. I can definitely notice it, but it doesn’t bother me personally.One thing to keep in mind is that this product is marketed for curly, coily, and wavy hair, which covers a very wide range of hair types. My fine, wavy hair may simply respond differently than someone with thicker curls or coils. Overall, it has some benefits, but I haven’t been able to get consistently great results with my hair type.

Effectiveness seems to depend on other products in your hair
My teenager used this detangling milk on her hair before her wash day and she said it worked well while she detangled her hair. She has 4C hair and a lot of it. She sprayed water to a section before applying. I used it on my youngest daughter’s hair (4B texture) after removing her natural hair braids and I also sprayed water before applying. It did okay. It’s possible she had too much buildup of braiding jam.The detangling milk has a strong perfume smell (in my opinion), the consistency of lotion, lightweight, and was easy to apply. It left more curl definition on my teen, but the opposite for my youngest. My teen had little product on her hair before using compared to my youngest child. I think its effectiveness really depends on what other products it may have to interact with that are already on your hair.

Nice product!
This is a nice product. I have naturally curly hair, but over the years it has been damaged due to hair dye and a lot more gray hair than I used to have. When I come out of the shower, I like a product that is thick enough I can put it on my hands and run it through my hair quickly and there’s not a lot of residue left over. This product works quite well. It says to use on wet hair, but my problem usually is the next morning when I get out of bed and I’m trying to tame my clean but fuzzy hair for the next day. I had to go out of town recently and I took this product with me. Each morning I got up and just barely damp and my long hair and use some of this product just probably on the last four or 5 inches of my hair, not against my scalp. It dries without feeling sticky, and the smell is lovely. Overall, this is a pretty good product and works pretty well on the frizzes, it does, however make my hair a little bit more greasy looking after two uses than I like.
