    Just average, unfortunately

    I usually do my own pedicures, and have been looking for toenail clippers that will work a bit better than the usual standard clippers. I seem to run into problems due to the fact that my largest toenail are slightly curved, and so many clippers are straight, or have a slight indentation, I had a high hopes that these would solve my problem. Unfortunately, they didn’t.What I like: For the main clippers. there’s a nice little spot to put your fingers to help with grip, but it is still fairly slick. The end of the clippers also rotates 160 degrees, providing flexibility for anyone who is left-handed, who may have a preference in moving a certain way, or who has any physical limitations.What I didn’t like: When I tried to cut the edge of the toenail (which is of average thickness, not particuarly thick as is natural as we age), these sort of hiccuped right off the nail, not providing a clean cut and requiring me to go back with regular clippers. Perhaps it was due to the curve I mentioned, as they trimmed my smaller nails cleanly without issue, though they are definitely thinner as well. This happened over and over, as I tried to trim the largest nails with every set of clippers, only leaving the snippers untested. The snippers look incredibly sharp and while they likely would have done the job, I wasn’t quite sure if they were for cuticles or nails, and I didn’t want to risk having the wrong angle.

    This is a very nice set.

    I’m getting old, I guess.Old enough to fall victim to thickening toenails and the increasing difficulty of clipping said nails, what with my grip starting to get weaker.These are a game-changer. I am now able to take care of the one thick nail that I have, where I couldn’t before because the nail clippers I have wouldn’t open enough. From what I understand, one of the biggest ways to help reduce the fungus is to keep the nail trimmed back as far as one can. These clippers allow me to do that and I can see the difference and the discomfort has diminished. The swivel head is a huge help to me and has kept me from cutting wrong and causing injury. There is also a nail file embedded into one of the clippers and that thing is amazing. It does a great job of smoothing things out.They are very solidly built and super easy to use and come in a very nice case.I’m going to tell all my old-guy friends about these.I’m not including any “action shots” in the photos. Nobody wants to see that.

    Great clipper set

    This toenail clipper set is very nice quality. The zipper pouch they come in is soft, and the slots fit the clippers well. The clippers themselves are made out of a nice solid material. They have some weight to them, without being too heavy. The clippers were easy to operate with hand grip strength and fine motor control issues.The teeth of the clippers cut through thick toenails easily and smoothly without having to struggle. The wider mouth on the clippers easily fit around thick toenails as well. The 360 rotatable head clippers were convenient and helpful. I felt like I was struggling less and not having to contort or bend my body as much.The two blades are very sharp. I recommend flipping them downwards in the zipper pouch case, so you don’t risk bumping into them when taking out and returning the rotatable nail clippers.The only things I didn’t like about the set, is the button closure on the ingrown nail clipper slot can be a little finicky to open and close around the clippers. I also found the ingrown clippers to be a little bit slippery in the hand. I did like their shape, sharpness, and double springs. I like that you could use one or both springs at once, and that they tuck into the handles when not in use.Overall I recommend this nail clipper set to those with flexibility issues, thick toe nails, or fine motor control issues. This clipper set is a good value, and performs well.

    High quality. Great as a gift. Compact for travel. Attractive case.

    Premium kit. The zippered case has a velvety smooth feel to it. My favorite tool in the kit is the slanted clipper, whose edge extends out that lets you get right to the edge of the nail and under your skin. This helps to prevent missing the last bit of nail that can lead to a painful ingrown nail. The clipper has no flex to the handle and is very sharp. I usually have to soften the skin/nail area up before cutting, but this clipper easily sliced right through the nail without this step.The unique shape of the nail clipper actually does catch the nail clippings. If you do end up with an ingrown nail, this kit has a great selection of tools for digging down to free the ingrown edge of your nail, and the precision shape of the ingrown toenail tool makes easy work of clipping the edge of the nail no matter how deep it is imbedded.Easy to use, comfortable grip, sharp. Also, great for travelling if you need to have access to these kinds of tools away from the home.
