MAJOR BURN HAZARD
I took this out of the box and looked it over before testing it for review. BUT I’M NOT EVEN PLUGGING IT IN.I can’t imagine using this without burning myself. And I don’t even think it would allow me to have the kind of control over my long hair to get the effect I want. Why? Because there’s no clamp to hold your hair in place while you’re wrapping your hair around the barrel.There is NO WAY I’d use this, regardless of how wonderful the features, or how quickly it heats up.

This curling iron is high quality and functional. It’s the perfect travel size and gets hot so you don’t have to spend forever straightening the same section. It’s a great value for the price.

It’s not perfect but it works great for on the go traveling! The curling barrel is small so it is more suitable for short hair. I learned that long hair doesn’t work as well. I do like that it gets hot fairly quickly. It is important to wear gloves so you don’t easily burn your hands.

Baby Pink Travel Curling Iron
I love the sweet, soft baby pink color of this curling iron. It’s super cute looking and compact, making it a great size to take with you when you travel. When I got this however, I didn’t realize it’s the kind of curling iron without a clamp, so you have to manually wrap your hair around the barrel and hold it there until you achieve a curl. I’m not a fan of this style of curler since it’s way easier for me to burn my fingers (And in my case, my countertop too, since I accidentally singed a leather case I had it sitting on).It heats up really fast and gets very hot, which is a plus, you just have to be careful how long you let your hair stay on the barrel so it doesn’t burn your hair. Also, because the barrel is small, my hair kept slipping off after I’d wrap it around, because there wasn’t much space to wrap it around the barrel. I really wish it had a better stand on the bottom of it though, because the little ledges it has don’t keep it far enough off surfaces and makes me anxious the whole time. It’s definitely cute, but for the price, I’ve used better designed irons with more features.

Easy to use. Heats up fast and works well!
You’ll definitely want one of those gloves so you don’t get burned however this is a bigger barrel so it is easy to wrap your hair around and it curled my hair well for some big beachy wavy curls. I am a natural curly head so I just air dried and brushed out my curls and I was able to successfully use this. I think this is a great addition to traveling and you should put it in your cart.

Difficult to use and needs a silicone mat
The travel dual voltage does heat up very quickly as advertised. However, with this curling iron, you’re paying much more for the dual voltage and also that it heats up quickly. It is a small portable size.I did not find this curling iron easy to use since there’s no clamp for your hair (although it is not advertised that it has a clamp). Some people use this type of curling iron so they don’t get any creases with the clamp. You have to use a comb in one hand and the curling iron in another to wrap it around. It will work better for longer hair that is not layered.The price at the time my order was $35.00. The price is high without including a travel case and a silicone mat. It does get very hot and if you lay the curling iron down on the counter, the clearance is only about a quarter of an inch on one side and a half an inch on the other. You could easily burn a bathroom counter if it’s not granite or quartz.I gave it three stars because of how close it is to the countertop, the price is high without including a travel case (since it’s advertised for traveling) and for not having a mat for protection.
