Embracing Eco-Friendly Hair Care with TOUN: A Satisfied Long-Time User’s Experience
I’ve been a long-time user of TOUN products. As I raised my child, I became more interested in environmental protection. While volunteering with an environmental organization, I was inintroduced to shampoo bars and treatment bars that help reduce plastic waste, and I started using them. I was surprised and delighted to find that this company is now available on Amazon, so I immediately made a purchase. Although it was relatively challenging to carry around at first, I’ve adapted, and I’ve learned the trick of not soaking it too much in water, so now I can use it much more comfortably. Initially, it felt a bit rough compared to liquid shampoos with lots of chemicals, but after drying my hair, the feel is quite similar. My children, who suffer from atopic dermatitis, also use it, and I’m satisfied with its gentle ingredients.

smells decent enough, useful traveling imo
I’ll just be honest right up, not worth it for the money ($11.99 right now). Didn’t do anything amazing as a shampoo / soap and even though the smell is ok it isn’t amazing. The big advantage with it imo is that you could take it with you without having to worry about it ‘leaking’ out of a container.Was in a pretty hot room for a few days and it wasn’t melting or anything of that nature so that was nice and indicated it could be used in travelling or left in your car if you are a trip and not have to worry about it.

save earth and grow hair
This was recommended by my husband’s friend. I just tried it when my husband bought it. but wow,,,,, it really works! I think my hair around my forehead is growing. It feels bit itchy but then it goes away. lather it up and leave it on for 10 min and wash off. Also, I like how it came as bar soap to not use anymore plastic bottles.

less stress on my hair
I try to be very careful when purchasing hair products since I have a genetic tendency toward hair loss. I prefer products made with natural ingredients that minimize irritation to my hair. This shampoo soap is much gentler than regular chemical-based shampoos and causes less stress on my hair. I’ve noticed that my hair seems to fall out less, and it feels much softer. That’s why I plan to keep using it in the future.

Nice scent and suds
Not sure there’s anything I dislike about this shampoo, I love that it’s sulfate free and fragrance free (still has a nice strong deep floral aroma). I thought it might be a bit heavy with the shea butter (I have fine hair and an oily scalp, this brand has a bar for my hair type I’ll probably try eventually) but it lathers with lots of suds even on the first wash. I see reviews mentioning a lack of suds but I wonder if those people are used to natural shampoo bars and emulsifying properly, though obviously there may be other variables. After washing I feel fresh for a handful days which is not always the case with hydrating washes for me. I also love the aesthetic of the bar I have it on a big clam I found on a beach and it’s a really nice addition to the shower setup.

Just Perfect!!!! Exactly what I was looking for!
10/10! Has all the right ingredients! Don’t ever stop making this S19!!!! Baobab is special! Circle between palms of hands and leather into hair starting at scalp and gently down to the ends. I have long thin yet thick hair (white gal hair) and cleans my hair each time. Leaves it soft and don’t need to wash hair until about every other day, sometimes two. In the winter, maybe three. But generally I wash my hair every 2 days with this shampoo bar. The ingredients in this bar promote hair growth and that’s exactly what I was looking for. I’ve used this product now for over a year. It’s my favorite!
