Great Dry Shampoo

I really like this TYMO dry shampoo powder spray. It works well on my dark hair, absorbs oil at the roots effectively, and gives a nice volume boost without that heavy, chalky feeling some dry shampoos leave behind. The texture it adds is good too — my hair looks refreshed and has more lift after using it.It’s perfect for travel or quick touch-ups between washes. The powder sprays on finely and brushes out easily with minimal white residue (especially important for darker hair). My roots look cleaner and my hair feels lighter and fresher within minutes.My only real complaint is the size. At just 1.41 oz, the bottle is quite small for the price. It’s great quality and effective, but I go through it faster than I expected, so the value isn’t the best if you use it regularly. It’s ideal as a travel size or for occasional use.Overall, it’s a solid performing dry shampoo that does what it promises. If the bottle were a little bigger for the money, I’d easily give it 5 stars. Still recommend if you want something effective for dark hair.

Travel Size and Nice Scent, Questionable Application, Hard to Blend – Great for Lots of Oil

This is a bit different that traditional dry shampoo that I have become accustomed to in an aerosol can, so I have mixed feelings about this product, both in application and effect. However, I am here for the nice, portable, compact size. This fits easily into a purse or makeup bag, but because of the powder pump application rather than an aerosol can, it tends to get a little messy, especially if the lid gets popped off, which tends to happen more often than not for me. I guess I assumed that for a pump with powder, that there would be an easier way to direct the product toward the scalp. Instead, it sort of aerates like a baby powder, and application for specific places on the scalp is slightly difficult and less precise than dry shampoos I normally use. It’s less like a spray as advertised than a pump that just spills powder out (you sort of have to tip the nozzle where you want the product to fall on your head).That being said, I feel like the more oily the hair, the better this tends to work. I have dark hair right now, and this says it works for dark oil hair, and while the powder does indeed absorb some oil at the roots, I felt like it took particularly a lot of effort to blend the product in completely. The powder that sat on the line of my scalp felt like it took me forever to rub in so as not to be noticeable. In the end, I just started wetting the spots on my hair that the powder wouldn’t blend. However, if I used this product over 1 day in, when my hair is oiler, it tends to grab onto those oils and absorb them better, blending slightly easier. I did feel the need to note a slightly waxy feeling after using as well.On the plus side, the scent was really nice and fresh. It wasn’t anything overpowering or suffocating, like some that come from an aerosol can, and it’s a pretty light scent, overall. As for performance, it probably extended my hair about a one full day wait before the need to wash again. I’m sure if I used more each day, it would probably continue extending it, but I sort of became self-conscious that the waxy feeling of my hair was observable as well the longer I used it. I didn’t notice any significant boost in volume or any positive texture like advertised, but after not washing my hair for maybe three days, and then using this product, there was definitely a noticeable difference in reduced oiliness. It just didn’t provide that clean, lightweight feeling typically associated with dry shampoo for me.I think this works, and if you prefer powder dry shampoos, this isn’t a bad option, but personally, it’s probably not for me. I found it a bit less convenient and harder to blend in a pinch than traditional spray formulas, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this is overall better and more natural for your hair. It also is definitely great for compact traveling, but just beware of keeping that cap on tight, because even without pumping, sometimes the powder just spills out the nozzle. There are positives and negatives, so just keep both in mind if intending to purchase.

Love this product; it smells fresh & volume work; the spray nozzle is easy to press & spray: it helps if you have rheumatoid arthritis fingers! Tks !! I highly recommended. The bottle is light & good size for travel.

Works, but goes quick.

Wife says it actually works! All I can say is that it smells good and her hair did have an appearance of being recently washed and dried. It did seem to leave a bit of residue in the area, almost like a baby powder dust, not alot, but some.The small can pumps like a lotion bottle, and the first pump was a learing curve. Better to pump it gently as not to get it all over. Takes some practice in determining the best way, and best place to use it. Might be beneficial on a camping trip where showers may not be so convenient, or a last minute freshen up when time doesn’t allow a full shower. Yes, great for travel!The can is pretty small, I would assume you might get a couple washes out of a can, but its not going to last for a weeks worth of showers and washes.We sprayed just a tiny bit in my hand, and as expected, it is very similar to a baby powder consistancy. The instuctions on the can are pretty clear and give you a good idea as to how to use it best. I can see this having a place in our lives when we need a quick touch up or in a bind. Certainly doesn’t take the place of a real wash, but better than nothing. I guess if you’re desperate for a quick wash, the cost might be OK, otherwise, this could be an expensive habbit.
