Nice hydrating shave gel; pleasantly surprised with the clear gel formula
Uplift Provisions Clear Shaving Gel: I will preface this review by saying my usual preference is not a clear shave gel. I prefer a formula that I can see where I’ve shaved, like a foam/cream formula, or something more shiny like an oil. That being said, if you like a shave gel, I think this is a very nice one. I like the pump applicator, as it makes it very easy to get the product out in the shower. You can use it on dry or damp skin; I used it on damp skin. I felt like I needed three pumps for the bottom, and three for the top, of each leg. Part of that might be because you can’t see where you’ve put it, and there’s no lather. I can tell that I’m going through the product faster with that many pumps, but I like feeling that noticeable barrier between my skin and the razor. The gel formula goes on very smoothly though, and it did not gunk up the razor at all. I’ve had shave gels in the past that required constant rinsing of the razor between strokes. The scent is refreshing with the peppermint, and I was thankful that I didn’t get the cooling sensation that is often associated with some peppermint scents (I personally don’t want cold legs in the shower). I also didn’t have any irritation or sensitivity from the peppermint/lime. I don’t really smell much lime personally, but I get more of the mint or even a eucalyptus type spa scent. It was easy to rinse off when I was done, and my skin felt soft getting out of the shower. I sometimes will get itchy from dryness on my legs after the shower, but the shave gel was moisturizing enough that I didn’t have that issue. I’m now a couple hours past my shower and my legs still feel very soft, smooth, and hydrated. I’m pleasantly surprised with how well this shaving gel performed for me, and how nice my skin feels afterwards.

Best Case – Use on Delicate Areas
I used this on my face just as a regular shave. Tried it a few times and tested it against my regular shave gel. I wouldn’t recommend this to replace your regular gel, but if you need a clear gel for delicate areas then this would be fine. It doesn’t lather or behave like a foaming gel. It’s not as slippery as a regular gel. The peppermint scent is pleasant.You might love this for your sensitive areas and that may make this a good value to you. But at triple the cost of regular foaming gels, this may not have the value for daily use.

Works well, not a big fan of the scent during application
This gel works well for shaving my face. It leaves a smooth shave without irritation, and the skin feels refreshed, soft, and actually somewhat hydrated. I’m not a huge fan of the clear gel, but I can definitely see how it can be helpful for seeing where you’re shaving and getting straight lines. With the clear gel it’s kind of difficult to tell where you’ve applied it, and it doesn’t build up a nice, rich lather which I find satisfying. I’m also not a big fan of the scent during application. It definitely smells like peppermint and lime, but for me it was overpowering and not pleasant while on my face during shaving. However, once I thoroughly rinsed my face, the subtle smell left over was pleasant and refreshing. This gel is a bit on the spendier side, but a good option if you’re looking for a clear gel

This shaving gel feels unique due to it being clear! It works well and helps give a smooth and even shave. It helps prevent bumps and redness, and the razor just glides over the skin! The peppermint smell is on the stronger side, but it smells good!

Subtle minty scent. Gel texture
This shaving gel has a very subtle mint scent. That is great if you are putting this on your face. The gel itself is medium consistency… Not thin and not thick. You can thin it out with water. It does not foam up.The job does a sufficient job, allowing the razor to glide across the skin but also allowing for enough resistance, so you can comfortably press the razor against the skin while gliding, so you can get a closer shave.I do like how the gel is transparent, so you can see what you’re doing. The foaming shaving creams don’t allow you to see what’s going on. This gel is also thick enough so you can tell where you have already shaved.Based on my ingredients which look pretty natural, and the price, and the way it performs on the skin, I give this a five star rating.

Quality and no post shave irritation
Nice shave gel. It smells great first of all! I like that is has much cleaner ingredients than typical shave gels and also seems to help with the post shave irritation my skin tends to get. Overall I am very happy with this product and will definitely check out their other items!

Best shaving gel I’ve ever used
I’ve been around for a long time and this is the first shaving gel I’ve used that leaves my skin feeling refreshed, not dry and not irritated. It’s pleasant and actually makes shaving a pleasure when it generally never is. The glide is super smooth too. A little goes a long way which is nice.

Great for Face
I am very happy with the quality of this Uplift Provisions shave gel, but I have to admit my husband loves it a lot more than I do. (To the point he has actually taken it from me and calls it his own) For leg shaving, it works well. I had to be careful to make sure I didn’t have too much water splashing on my legs because too much renders the gel less than useful. It helped me get a close shave with an okay mint scent. My legs were left smooth and hydrated. My husband, however, found this to be facial hair magic. Being able to see through the clear gel made all the difference in getting a clean edge. It only takes a small amount of gel to get a comfortable shave so the bottle should last a long time. The pump top is designed to give a larger amount of gel than needed, so takes a little effort to not take more than needed. Compared to the bougie shave cream my husband used to use, this is a bargain. If I were reviewing this strictly for leg usage, I would only give it four stars. It is good, not great. For face use, it is absolutely deserving of five stars.
