    Works well, good hold, menthol smell though

    This is a LARGE container of hair styling gel. Should last quite a while, which is good considering the price is a bit high compared to what you would purchase at a store. It doesn’t take a lot to do my hair with this either.This has a good hold without too firm, and allows you to get it worked in and styled before locking in place, so you’ve got plenty of time to get things just right.The one comment that is worth mentioning is that they state it has essential oils of peppermint and lime, and this ultimately gives it a bit of a menthol scent. If that’s something that bothers you, you might not appreciate this hair gel. It doesn’t seem to follow me through the day, it’s just during application, but I know scents can be a big deal so wanted to make mention of it.Other than the scent, I really don’t have any major complaints about this. It works well and is easy to use, and while a little on the expensive side gives you a lot of product and seems like it should last a long time, so it might be an ok value in the long run.So far, I’d recommend this! If something changes with more usage I may come back and update this review. If nothing ever changes here, that means nothing worth adjusting happened!

    A great gel that works for kids too!

    I use a small amount of this gel on my toddler’s wild, wavy hair to tame it. I lightly dampen his hair, then rub a bit in my palms and gently style it. It stays in place for hours, even with rough play, until bath time. I also use a little on my fine, slightly wavy hair to control frizz after showering. It’s not oily, washes off easily, and doesn’t leave a crunchy texture.

    Extremely Strong Hold

    This Uplift Provisions styling gel delivers a very strong hold that definitely keeps hair in place. It works well for structured or slicked-back styles, but the hold can feel a bit too intense if you prefer a more natural look. Best used sparingly.

    It came pipped off & a good chunk of gel was spilled throughout the packaging.Nonetheless I’ve been using what was left in the container. Decently unscented. Holds nicely on my curls. Not too thick so I didn’t mind using it on my hair. Washes off my hands fairly nice.Packaging could be better so you get a full jar worth of gel.

    Nice Gel, You Get A Lot

    Uplift Provisions Styling Hair Gel. Recently chopped off all my long hair. Fun to play with different styles. I have tried this gel both wet and with drying. I do like it. When I apply it to wet hair, well, damp I should say, I can spike it a bit and it does hold well. I was surprised to see that when I blow dried my hair with this gel, it didn’t get flaky or have a dirty look/feel to it. Although I do use less of it, if I’m going to blow dry my hair. I would give 5 stars for this product, if it wasn’t for the menthol smell to it. It’s not a bad smell, and it does seem to dissipate, but if you are sensitive to menthol smell if may not be for you.

    Good gel, huge value!

    My husband wears his hair quite short and styles it with gel. He’s been using this Uplift Provisions gel for a few weeks and really likes it. It’s a thick gel with a pleasant cooly, minty scent. He likes to put this in his hair when it’s damp. It provides a medium to firm hold. It’s not heavy and it makes his hair shiny. When he comes home from his very physical job his hair still looks good! He’s had no flaking at all, and no irritation to his scalp or hair loss. It has worked really well for him and he’s happy. At $29 for a huge 16 oz jar here on Amazon it’s a great value

    Soft and manageable homd

    I was decently surprised to find that this Uplift Provisions Styling Hair Gel is actually a fairly decent sized jar. It’s a twist off lid, but it’s easy to take on and off, and I didn’t have any issues with leaks. This smells nice— a good unisex scent that’s invigorating yet mild, and doesn’t linger in the hair. The consistency is nice too, and doesn’t leave any residue or tint in the hair. This has a soft hold, so I found that it doesn’t leave my hair crunchy or stiff, but still keeps hair styles in and frizz flat. I like to apply this to damp hair, and a small amount at a time. If not enough was used, it’s easy to re-wet the hair and add more. I can get half a day of use before it even starts to begin to lay flat, so I feel like the longevity with this gel is great. This is easy to rinse out with shampoo, and doesn’t change the texture of my hair. This is a good $29 bulk sized tub of gel that’s perfect for the whole household!

    Really works!

    I keep my hair short and live in Florida. The humidity affects hair product all the time. I have tried gels, sprays, clay products and they just don’t hold up. I saw this and decided to give it a try. I am so happy I did. I style my hair with my hands and I have been experimenting and this is the first product that seems to hold up to the weather and refreshes the next day if you are in a rush. It shampoos out with no residue left. The scent is very pleasant.This product has found a place in my home.
