Amazing Cold Pressed Castor Oil
I’ve been really happy with this organic castor oil. The first thing I noticed was how much product you get, and it feels like a great value for the size. I especially like that it comes in a glass bottle, which gives it a more premium feel and helps keep the oil protected and feeling fresh and pure. The packaging is simple but practical, and I like knowing I have plenty of oil on hand for all the different ways I use it.I’ve been using it on my eyelashes and have been really impressed with the results. My lashes seem to be growing like crazy and look fuller than they did before. The pump makes all the difference.
This Castor oil is cold pressed, free of crappy ingredients, its texture is smooth and clear AND it comes in an amber glass bottle!Mine was shipped with a screw on cap and the pump separate. The pump is a real luxury for me. It only takes a small amount to accomplish a lot. So to get just a drop on your fingertip for, let’s say your eyelashes, is very doable.I used this on my forehead mostly, but also on my brows and on hair. On my forehead, I could tell the difference in the moisture level quickly. On the brows, I think the biggest difference I noticed was that the shadowing of my brows stayed all day. On the hair, my thought is that the Castor oil’s effectiveness works like a mega mask. It is very thick so it took a little work to get it worked through all the hair. However, I let it set overnight then shampooed, and air dried. I certainly could see a difference in the silkiness and flow. I did not notice any strong fragrance.The value of this price for the ounces is great. This size of bottle will last a long time, IMHO.

SUMMARY:I found this to be a very good value for the quantity of ounces for the price.also in glass bottle.the cap is a screw on cap, intended to be replaced with the pumpthe top is not a press down and pour out type.I personally blend several oils, and use a smaller 8 oz plastic bottle in my shower with a press down pour cap.I prefer plastic when I’m actually handling slippery oils.and I prefer to control the quantity in a pour rather than a pumpbut this met my needs for use in blending into a different container.Good value for the size and being bottled in glass.I do notice that not all castor oil seems identical, some have darker color, or slightly thicker in consistency/texture.for me, however, for the value, this totally met my needs.One small con: I could not find any marking of a lot number or an expiration date, or manufacture date on the product.For me: I use castor oil blended with other oils for use on my skin (mostly legs and arms).I did not use the pump, as I just pour to mix in another glass 16oz bottle.I’m no expert on oils, and have no firm/fixed formula of how I blend oils.I don’t care if my oil blend is cloudy, or separates, I just shake it prior to application.My journey into natural oils started after a reaction/irritation to an anti-aging cream. I think the issue with that cream was that it was to address dark spots. To heel, I only applied all natural oils to my skin. that was 2 years ago, and I have never used anything but pure oils on my skin.I have learned to apply while I’m still in my shower stall, that is after several oil splatters on my sheetrock wall, when I have the oil on my palm, and do the flip over to slather on my shoulder, or even down onto my legs. I have yet to prime and repaint my wall, but that has not stopped me from applying oils.castor oil is thicker than many oils, and often has a strong pungent scent.If you find the scent off-putting, you can blend with coconut oil.I recently purchased a castor oil that was blended with rosemary oil, and the rosemary scent was so strong, I truly just prefer the natural castor oil

Great for Taming Curls, but Missing Lot/Expiration Information
I’m new to using castor oil, so I can’t really compare this to other brands, but I can share my experience using it for the first time.The oil arrived very well packaged in a box with plenty of protection, including Styrofoam, and I really appreciated that it came with a pump. The bottle itself is glass, which I also prefer for an oil like this. One thing that surprised me, though, is that I couldn’t find a lot number or expiration date anywhere on the bottle or packaging. Since I’m using this on my eyelashes and eyebrows, I would feel more comfortable having that information clearly provided.The oil does have a slight smell, although I wouldn’t describe it as rancid. It is clear to very pale yellow and fairly thick in consistency. I show the color and consistency in my video.I tested it on my eyebrows, eyelashes, and hair. For my brows and lashes, I simply put a small amount on my fingertip and dabbed it on. Once applied, I could barely feel it, and I liked that the thicker consistency helped smooth my eyebrows when they were looking a little wild. I was initially a little nervous about applying it to my eyelashes, but I haven’t experienced any irritation so far.I also tried it on my second-day curls, and this was probably my favorite use. It did a great job of taming frizz and putting my curls back into place just by smoothing a small amount through my hair. It does feel somewhat sticky when I use it by itself, though, and even after washing my hands with soap, I could still feel a little residue.I think I may experiment with mixing it with another lighter oil, such as jojoba oil, for use in my hair. I was also concerned that the natural smell might linger, but once I had it in my hair, I didn’t notice the scent anymore.Overall, I’ve had a good experience with this castor oil so far. It has a nice consistency, the pump makes it easy to dispense, and I especially like what it did for my second-day curls. My biggest concern is the lack of a lot number or expiration date. If the manufacturer adds that information to the packaging, I would feel much more confident recommending it, particularly for use around the eyes.

A Pure & Simple Multi-Tasker for any Regimen.
This Ricoorae Organic Castor Oil is cold-pressed, hexane-free and USDA organic. Best of all, it’s just the One Ingredient. In the past, I have tried castor oil products that had more perfume, water, glycerine or unpronounceable ingredients than actual castor oil, and for thick hair like mine, they were useless. Not this stuff. Ricoorae Organic is thick, clear, smells like nothing at all, and feels just like it should on my fingertips. Since there are no scents or additives, I feel completely comfortable using this to condition my hair, scalp, cuticles, eyebrows and even my eyelashes (although with lashes, one must go gently & lightly—and then head straight to bed).I’ve not been using Ricoorae long-term yet, but previous experience with quality castor oil tells me that—with daily use—it can make my hair more manageable, and restore the thickness and color of stressed eyebrows. I’m confident that this bottle can keep up the good work.Speaking of which: I like the solidity of the Ricoorae bottle, and the excellent foam protections they use in-house before sending it to distributors. The pump the company includes with the bottle helps minimize opening, closing and handling of such a weighty vessel with oily fingers (near my particularly clattery bathroom surfaces).

Way Overpriced
I use castor oil in my soaps and lotions and not in and of itself as castor oil packs. With that being said, it has a nice thickness to it. It smells like castor oil should (i.e., it stinks! haha but I want that as opposed to a synthetic smell or something being manipulated to make it not stink). I like that it comes with a pump so you can pump or pour as needed and it is easy to get out of the bottle.At $32 for 16 ounces, this is very expensive. Almost double others I have gotten from plant guru and other brands. For the same quality (albeit, a glass bottle which doesn’t matter like it does for olive oil), this is simply not worth it.
