B7 Hair Boost Oil and Your Hair Type
First of all, the product design is very nice. This B7 hair oil comes in little clear glass bottles, which I actually loved because you can see the color and consistency right away. The directions were very clear and easy to follow. In my personal experience, I wanted to give this product a good couple of weeks of daily use, as that’s the true test for my specific hair type. During the first week, I did notice my hair became more manageable. However, because I have pretty fine and thin hair, it absolutely needs a product in it to keep it from tangling. This B7 oil in particular wasn’t the best for fine, long hair like mine. As other reviews mention, it’s quite a heavy oil for this hair type. I tried using less product, but then it didn’t seem like enough and I couldn’t find the right balance.During the second week, I began to run into some other issues. I randomly started noticing flakiness on my roots. In the past, I’ve had dandruff and occasional flakes from hair products, so I couldn’t pinpoint whether it was from my scalp or the dried B7 oil. Either way, it was pretty jarring to see, so I chose to stop using this product. I believe this was likely due to my thin, fine hair and the fact that I had to overuse the oil to achieve the best results. I do think this product would be better suited for thicker or shorter hair that doesn’t require as much of it.I will say though, that this B7 oil smells delicious! My husband noticed and complimented it right away as it was a new sweet aroma coming from my hair. I also love that it comes with 2 bottles. Since you only need a few drops to rub into your hands and work it through your hair, this product would definitely last a long time. I also noticed my hair felt more nourished and hydrated while using it, so it absolutely worked as described despite my hairs odd reaction to overuse!

Not for every hair type
y hair is thin and very temperamental, sometimes is dry and others are oily/ Due to this, I decided to give it a try to Vitamin B7 hair oil since according to its ingredients it was perfect for my hair type or so I thought.Once I open it I was hit with a very pleasant and strong scent to it that was not described in the product description. The oil itself does not feel oily on your hand but once you apply it on your hair you will notice a quick sense of heaviness. I figured since it was my first time using it that I will wait and try on different occasion and see how I would feel about it.- Try it on dry hair: After application it felt heavy and by the next day my hair felt greasy then brittle.- Try it after I washed my hair: Felt as if my hair weighted twice its weight, not a good feeling.- Try it with a hair blower: My hair felt heavy and really dry even brittle to the point that it felt like it was breaking.After 3 different attempts I noticed that no matter how I try it after a few minutes I felt my scalp itchy and my hair felt very dry and it seemed as if I lost hair due to breaking. However, it smell nice but really strong. Do I recommend it? Hmm, maybe for someone with different type of hair might have better results but for me not so much. I do like the scent but might be too strong for others.

Reacts different for different hair types.
I find this works best for my thick curly hair when I only apply to the ends. It doesn’t go on greasy and does seem to provide a moister boost to my ends. If I apply it closer to my scalp, it feels a bit heavy and I can’t go the next day without washing it. The smell is very pleasant but unsure where the smell comes from when looking at the ingredient list. Getting two bottles and only using a little at a time, this will last a long time. Or you can keep and share.

Nice hair oil
This is light and thin, which is what works best for my boyfriend. he uses hair oil for grooming, but sparingly and he is particular about what he uses. Nothing too heavy because that makes his hair look greasy and unwashed.This is a very light oil that gives him a good measure of control over his hair, helps his scalp feel not so dry, and doesn’t leave a film on his scalp or shirt collars.It’s too heavy for my hair except for the ends. I do like it after going out of town and washing my hair with different water because that usually dries my hair out, even if it’s just different tap water.Because it’s used so sparing by both of us, it will last a long time and is a good value.

The ingredient list doesn’t seem complete – no fragrance listed, but it smells fragranced.
This is a hair oil that is a blend of several vitamins and B7 is 3rd on the ingredient list. Ingredients as listed on the box are: Water, Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin B7, Vitamin E, Jojoba Oil. That’s it.All of those are great ingredients – the only thing that gives me pause is that the formula is completely clear and has the consistency of a shine or anti-frizz serum. Pure Jojoba oil is slightly golden, pure vitamin E is slightly yellow, Vitamin A oil is slightly orangey, Vitamin B is usually orangey-yellow, and B7 is colorless. I have used a lot of hair oils with all those vitamins in them and this is much more gel-like than I’m used to. All of these vitamins might be available in powder form in a more pale yellow color, but then I’m not sure what the carrier is since aside from the vitamins, only water and jojoba oil are listed and the product has no hint of yellow or orange to it at all.There’s also a very pleasant strong fragrance to the oil, but no fragrance is listed in the ingredients. It’s sort of a soapy smell that reminds me of Softsoap hand soap. I don’t know what the fragrance is from because it does not smell like jojoba which is sort of nutty smelling and if the vitamin oils are clear because the formulation used fragrance free treated powders, then where does this smell come from? If you’ve ever used pure vitamin oils from a health shop, they all have a sort of vitamin-y smell or are kind of a nutty oil smell, sometimes even fishy (aka Retinol reek – that’s all Vitamin A.) My mother used to coat my hair in pure vitamin E from a capsule, so I feel like I would be able to smell that nutty oil in this mix if there wasn’t a fragrance added to it to cover it up. Other vitamin hair oils I have used have hid those smells, but they all list fragrance in the ingredients.But, giving the benefit of the doubt and assuming that this product is exactly what is listed in the ingredients and the fragrance comes from a combo of pure oils, the product is still mid. It does smooth my ends and make my hair super shiny for a while and my hair certainly smells nice with it on. It comes in a plastic bottle which is not my favorite and the dropper is kind of messy since the oil has a gel-like consistency and product sticks to the dropper.Since I am not sure I totally trust the ingredient listing, I have not used this near my scalp and it doesn’t feel like a product I’d rub into my scalp like other hair oils I have. I have enjoyed using this as a smoothing serum on my ends to make my hair shiny without looking greasy and in that regard it’s doing just fine.

Strong Scent
I have hair that is very pro to frizzing and am always on the lookout for products to tap down the frizz. I would describe this as middling for that task. It did immediately smooth out my hair, but the effects only lasted a few hours. I have had more success with other products.I’m not in love with the dropper style dispenser and the gel like nature of the product which make it more fussy to apply than a simple oil based pump style product. Also not a fan of the scent, which was not unpleasant but simply overwhelming. I was also concerned that the ingredients does not list any fragrances, which made me wonder what else was missing.I just want to add that the bottles arrived with each only filled part way, with about a quarter of the bottles empty. I don’t know if this means that the product amount is incorrect or if the bottles are simply too large for the amount of product being sold.This product is made in China
