A Korean Stylist Approach to Haircare- Soft, Silky and Shine
I use this Volume Active Treatment after shampooing, and my hair really seems to soak it up. The treatment is thick and creamy, but it works through my hair easily without feeling like it is just sitting on top of it. The directions say to leave it on for 3 to 5 minutes, and during that time I can already feel my hair getting softer. After I rinse it out, I can easily run my fingers through my hair without it catching. My hair feels silky, has a lot of shine, and the frizz has calmed down while still keeping the volume and movement I like. My hair is healthy, but it can lean a little dry, especially through the lengths, so I like that this gives it softness without making my roots feel heavy or leaving my hair flat. I have been interested in ANAZE because I lived in Korea and had followed Kiu for some time through his social media, so I was already familiar with his work as a Korean hairstylist. It is nice to see his products available in the US. The scent has a floral, botanical quality with herbal notes and a powdery perfume feel. It is not my favorite, but it is something I can manage, and it fades, especially after I apply my hair oil or essential oils after my hair dries.

Makes hair feel softer and look healthier without weighing it down
I ordered the ANAZE Volume Active Treatment because I follow hair designer Kiwu on YouTube and wanted to try a product connected to the brand.Since I applied it to my mid-lengths and ends rather than my roots, I can’t speak to the volume claims, but I can say it didn’t weigh my hair down like hair conditioners. My hair felt so soft and healthier afterward, almost too touchable, which isn’t great since touching makes my hair oily.I am sensitive to propylene glycol, and this does contain it, but since I only applied it to mid-lengths and ends rather than my scalp, I didn’t experience any reaction. The texture isn’t creamy like a typical conditioner, so I ended up applying more than I needed at first. After letting it sit and then rinsing it out, I realized that was way too much. It washed out well despite that. There’s fragrance listed in the ingredients, though I didn’t personally detect a scent, possibly because my shampoo has a strong herbal, botanical. I also appreciate that this protects hair from styling tools and heat.Regarding value, the price was around $22.00 for 500ml. It’s a lot of product for the price.

Weighed my curls down.
I’ve been using the Anaze Volume Active Treatment for about a month now. The bottle is a generous 16.9 fl oz, so you get quite a bit of product for the money, and I like that it contains ingredients like 6 peptides, 19 amino acids, and 7 proteins that are meant to support fine and damaged hair. The treatment has a creamy consistency that’s easy to work through my hair, and it has a clean, fresh scent that’s pleasant without being overpowering. It also offers heat protection up to 392°F, which is a nice bonus if you regularly use hot styling tools like I do.Unfortunately, this one wasn’t the best match for my hair. I have long, fine, curly hair that breaks easily. And while I was hoping it would help strengthen it over time, it hasn’t been effective for me yet. It’s possible that might come with continued use, but after about a month I haven’t seen a noticeable difference. It does make my hair soft, though. The biggest downside for me is that it seems to flatten my curls. I suspect the silicone in the formula is weighing my hair down, so I lose some of my natural curl definition and volume after using it. I don’t think it’s a bad product at all, it just wasn’t the right fit for my hair type.Right now, this is $21.99 which I think is a good value if it works with your hair. It’s a great size with impressive ingredients.

Works well on extremely damaged and dyed hair
This is a great treatment that works really well to balance intense moisture for damaged ends with weightless airy volume for flat roots. As someone with straight Asian hair that lacks volume at the roots but yet my ends are extremely dry, frizzy, and really damaged because of dyeing my hair, it is very hard for me to find a treatment that actually works well for my hair type.I’ve been using this treatment for three weeks now. After I shampoo my hair, I squeeze out the excess water from my hair then I would massage a bit of this treatment onto the mid lengths of my hair to the fried ends. I let it sit for about 5 minutes while I finish my shower routine. This treatment works so well that it acts as a detangler the moment it touches my hair.It is a bit hard to rinse out since it has such a rich and dense texture. When using this treatment, you have to make sure to rinse your hair extra thoroughly. If you rush the rinsing process and end up leaving some residue behind, your hair might dry feeling stiff and heavy. I usually just take an extra 30 seconds to ash it out completely until the water runs clear. It leaves a nice “expensive hair salon” smell on my hair after I wash it. It is not overpowering or artifically sweet, which I am a huge fan of.

Luxurious conditioner…but…
I was excited to get this volumizing hair treatment, because I have very fine, very thin hair that needs all the help it can get. I regularly use a texturizer and a mousse to help it maintain body and shape, but I’m always looking for other products to try. Aren’t we all looking for the “Holy Grail” of hair care? The size of this bottle is enormous. Packaging was minimal, only shrink-wrapped, so I was relieved to see that it hadn’t leaked during transit. The conditioner itself is extraordinarily thick. As in, even with a full bottle it takes quite a bit of strength to squeeze any out, and the resulting white cream holds its form so well, you feel like you could mold this stuff into a ball. But once applied to wet hair, it disappears almost like magic. Now, the reason I docked a star: The fragrance. It is a very, very lovely scent. Decidedly feminine, and like no other conditioner I’ve used.But.This is so, SO heavily perfumed, that it is overwhelming to use. The fragrance doesn’t even smell remotely like a hair product, or a body wash, or anything used for hygiene. What it smells like is someone upended an entire bottle of laundry detergent and then mixed it with several bottles of fabric softener. It is so disorienting to dispense any of this and then apply it, because your nose is telling you, screaming at you, “this is NOT conditioner!”But, it *is* a great conditioner. I’ve even applied it without shampooing, and somehow my hair looks and FEELS like it’s been washed. As far as volumizing, I haven’t really noticed a difference. I can’t say I’ll be purchasing again, however, because I simply cannot get past the scent. Its intensity absolutely will give more sensitive users headaches.

Feels great!
In my haircare routine I have always needed conditioner as a must have part of hair washes. Generally I would buy something suitable for the whole house but only okay for me. I decided I want to have my own collection as I prefer to use nicer products anyways.I have 1A fine natural blonde hair past my natural waist to my hips that is extremely flat. I always longed for volume but my hair type is not designed for volume or curls. I do try sometimes to do heatless curls or heated curls, volume boosting products and texturizing but it is very hard on my hair. I have my hair long so when I do curl my hair is still a longer style that I prefer. My hair is currently still damaged and recovering fairly well from a hair fiasco that split my hair up the shaft. For my hair type it is the worst since my hair strands are already so thin, and fragile. The new growth mixed with the splits makes my hair very unkempt. Most conditioners I have either do very little or are very heavy so they fix the smoothness, but then my hair is weighted down.I was interested in this because it promotes volume, and strengthen weakened strands like I am currently dealing with. I also really like the feel of this conditioner, and I have been using it since it arrived. I cannot explain how perfect my hair feels. The consistency is thick and holds form out of the container. It is a stiff yet workable viscosity that I like. Many of the conditioners I have tried are too runny or way too thick. With runny types I need more, and with the thick ones I need to be careful how I apply or it becomes a flat heavy greasy spot that is hard to do anything with. This is just right for me.Peptides, amino acids, and protein in my hair products has helped so much since the issue started. With this conditioner though my hair is legit good feeling in the wash, you know if you know when your hair feels right in the shower wash. In the drying stage my hair feels hydrated and it also dries reasonably well. The day after though my hair is so soft, almost has fluff or feels more like my hair was before the damage. I was suprised because this has a ton of alchol in the top and the bottom of the ingredients.I really like the bottle style, even though I often prefer pumps, this one promotes using the whole bottle even on the product container. It also fits on my hair and skin rack outside of the shower where my toddler can’t reach to make potions. I didn’t need a whole bunch or repeated applications so I feel this is a great size.I think this has helped helped the appearance of my flat hair structure. I do still have issues with elasticity but I am used to this right now with my hair recovery. My hair does have a nice luster and my natural hair color looks a bit more lively rather than dull too.I think the aroma is actually very pleasant, and I like it much more than many of my other hair conditioners because it is more spa like but not overly so.For the price I am definitely adding this to my routine because it is very afforable. I really like the consistency too.

Strong Odd Scent, Doesn’t Condition Much
This ANAZE “Volume Active Treatment, Volumizing Hair Treatment” I was hoping to love. I need a good deep conditioner for my fine middle-aged, medium length straight hair. My hair often feels dry to me, like it needs an extra boost of conditioning. This ANAZE hair treatment I was hoping would provide that for me. This conditioner though doesn’t seem like a deep conditioning treatment, which I guess in a way makes sense as this also is trying to be volumizing for hair, so it cannot be too rich of a conditioner, or it might weigh the hair down. This comes across as lightweight. My hair after didn’t feel as conditioned as it does with regular everyday conditioner even. I could comb through it fine, but I ended up having to add an extra conditioning leave-in conditioner after using this, to get the shine I wanted for my hair. On top of that, the scent on this conditioner is so strong and it smells like dryer sheets that I use in my laundry. The fragrance doesn’t seem right at all for a hair product. I would not try this again unless they change the fragrance and boost the conditioning ability of this hair treatment conditioner. The size though on this product is really nice at 16.9 ounces.

Strong scent and did not condition or give volume to my hair.
The first few things I noticed about this hair treatment was the very strong scent and how thick the product was, I assumed that the thickness would equal good conditioning(wrong!).The scent was so strong and reminded me of something I would use as a scrub cleanser.I applied it in my hair, covering and leaving it for about 2 minutes. I did notice more hair coming out and webbing in my fingers, I know I loose hair while washing but it’s hair I usually find in the drain afterwards, not it actually falling out in my hands.By the 2nd minute my scalp was feeling a tingling feeling and shortly after a strong painful burning sensation. I immediately rinsed it out and my scalp felt like it was on fire! I did a long cool rinse to make it I was all rinsed out and to soothe the irritation. To say that I was concerned is an understatement. After towel drying my hair did not feel conditioned, healthy or shiny. I gently detangled and used a low warm heat setting on my hairdryer as I typically do.In the end, after using this my hair has never looked so dry and it looked like I had split ends everywhere. The strong cleaner scent lingered and was not pleasant at all…perhaps a combination of too many chemicals. My scalp continued to feel too painful to even brush for all that day and two days later. Needless to say, I would not recommend this to anyone. Considering my experience, it is not a good value in my opinion. Not a good result and I regret putting my hair and scalp through using this.
