Wahl Compact Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Flexible Foil Shaver Kit & Cutter Bar

Great product!

This is, most likely, the best shaver I’ve ever used. Not just best TRAVEL shaver, but best overall. I’ve used quite a few over the years, of both types (travel and non-travel). It has many typical features of a travel shaver: compact size, flexible foils, locking on/off switch.Here are a few reasons I’ve found this shaver to be superior to others I’ve used in the past:- Rinseable foils.- It’s run time on a charge is superior to some other shavers I’ve used in the past. Even one or two name-brand shavers.- It has a “cutter bar.” I’ve found that to be necessary.- It shaves both FAST and CLOSE. I’ve had more than one shaver over the years, that will do one or the other well. I’ve found it’s rare to have both attributes in the same shaver.- Better than average price for what you get. I’ve paid twice as much, more than once, for name-brand shavers that lacked one of the above features and/or didn’t work as well.Two annoyances:- The ad has a graphic showing the shaver being held under a running faucet, advertising it’s “rinseable foils.” This (erroneously) gives the impression the shaver itself is somewhat water resistant. The instruction booklet shows a similar graphic, with an “X” over it and a separate graphic showing ONLY the foil guard being held under a faucet.- The foil guard and blade cover only go on one way. And there are no arrows or markings to easily discern which way they go on. As far as I know, this is simply a design choice, not a mechanical necessity. I’ve used more than one shaver over the years that allowed you to snap them both back on, in either direction. You didn’t have to fiddle around with them to get them to snap in place.Another annoyance, but not the fault of the shaver itself. I’m adding this merely as an FYI for the prospective buyer, in case this ability is important to you- I prefer having a USB charging option for travel devices: one less wall-wart to pack. At the time of this review, I could only find one aftermarket USB charging cable for this model shaver. Despite the cord’s ad alleging it fits this model shaver, the plug was different than the socket in the shaver and didn’t fit.

Great razor, annoying power cable

This is a great razor! This is probably the closest shave with an electric razor that I have found at this price point. What I particularly like about this razor is that it has a cutting bar in between the two foils that seems to work really well to get neck hairs that tend to grow in random directions. I have noticed that razors that do not have the central cutting bar tend to have a hard time getting these neck hairs. Overall, this razor provides a very smooth shave and is able to address both facial hair and neck hair.I took off one star because I’ve been a little bit annoyed with the power cable. It is a USBC cable that connects to the razor using a proprietary head, meaning A) I have to provide my own power brick and B) if I lose the cable I have to buy another one directly from Wahl. I just don’t understand how electric razor companies haven’t figured out how to make their cables directly compatible with USB C, which is used for virtually every other type of personal electronic device that is available. I also just kind of hate that I’m screwed if I lose this cable.

Un rasurado bastante bueno dando la sensación de si hubiera sido rasurado con navajas, solo por el ruido del motor que es potente lo demás es perfecto, lubricado con su aceite no deja irritación y se limpia fácilmente con sus cepillos, que si el rasurado es cada 2 días no requiere tanta limpieza por lo menos hasta 4-6 rasuradas.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐¡Excelente kit de afeitadora recargable! Me sorprendió muchísimo lo potente y cómoda que es para el tamaño compacto que tiene. La batería de iones de litio dura bastante tiempo y carga rápido, así que es perfecta tanto para uso diario como para viajes.El afeitado queda muy suave y limpio gracias a las láminas flexibles que se adaptan muy bien al contorno del rostro. Además, funciona de manera silenciosa y no irrita la piel como otras afeitadoras que había probado antes. También me gustó mucho que es ligera, fácil de manejar y muy sencilla de limpiar.La calidad de construcción se siente excelente y definitivamente cumple con la reputación de Wahl como marca reconocida en productos de cuidado personal. Definitivamente superó mis expectativas por el precio. ¡Totalmente recomendada para quienes buscan una afeitadora práctica, potente y portátil!

Un satisfactory warranty!

It is a nice shaver. Works well. It is totally un-acceptable that Amazon.ca is selling a product that has NO warranty in Canada. It is also extremely poor of Wahl not to cover their product in Canada. I do not like it one bit. Typical American superiority. Canadians are good enough to buy their product but we don’t warranty anything north of the border. Every other shaver has a world wide warranty if something goes wrong! What’s wrong with Wahl????

Horrible quality, DO NOT BUY

I’ve barely had this shaver for two months. The shave is okay for a travel size razor, but not particularly close. However, the quality of this thing is lousy. The shaver head is removable for cleaning, but one of the two plastic clips on the shaver body holding the head in place apparently just snapped off. It’s very thin, cheap plastic, and this tiny broken clip makes the shaver completely unusable as the shaver head no longer attaches to the body. Replacing the head won’t do any good, because the broken piece is on the body. DO NOT BUY THIS CHEAP PLASTIC P.O.S. I’ve wasted my money on a product I can’t use, and the return window is closed with no other assistance available from Amazon. So frustrated!
