This diffuser attachment has been a great addition to my Shark FlexStyle. This diffuser attachment is a great accessory for the Shark FlexStyle HD400 Series. It fits securely and does a good job distributing the airflow evenly, which helps reduce frizz and enhance natural curl definition while drying.I like that it offers both dome and diffuse modes, giving a little flexibility depending on how much volume or definition I’m looking for. Boost for gentle waves
I don’t have naturally curly hair, but my hair is a bit wavy. I used diffusers often when I was much younger, so I was curious to try one again and see if it would improve my waves.It is easy to use overall. I tend to use dome mode the most because it seems to improve my natural waves a little better, although I honestly do not notice much difference between dome mode and diffuse mode for my hair type (long, thick, long waves). Both give me a soft, slightly more defined wave without adding frizz.The diffuser attaches firmly to my Shark FlexStyle and it definitely adds some weight to the unit, but it feels extremely well made and will probably outlive the FlexStyle itself.I am very pleased with this attachment. It feels sturdy, works well with my gently wavy hair, and gives me a boost in definition without much effort.

AFDD Wave Curl Diffuser is heavy, solid plastic and the build quality is excellent. I have several AFDD Shark Flexstyler 400 attachments and their products are equal in quality and function to my original Shark attachments. This upgraded hair diffuser has a unique dual airflow design that allows styling in two modes, dome mode and diffuse mode. For Dome mode, remove the inner pronged ring to style hair with bowl shaped dome only. Dome mode allows for 360 degree airflow to quickly dry hair while giving it volume. Yous can pre-shape curls and place the dome over them to create waves or loose curls. For Diffuse mode insert the pronged ring into the bowl – dryer air is precisely diffused through the long prongs to reach deeply into hair. Diffuse mode is good for adding fullness, layers and more curl definition. Attachment is 5.3 inches in diameter and 5.5 inches tall. Longest length prongs are 1.25 inches long. Prong ring attaches and detaches from bowl shaped diffuser easily, does not come apart when using both together in the Diffuse mode. Wave Curl diffuser securely attaches to my Flexstyler 400 wand, just set in place turn and listen for click. Wand’s side button releases Wave Curler easily. This AFDD diffuser does not loosen when using on my wand, fit is identical to the Shark attachments that came in my Flexstyler 400 multi-attachment kit. I like that you have so many styling options with this one attachment. The AFDD Wave Curl diffuser can create styles from soft, wavy and voluminous to structured, tight, defined coils. The diffuser has not pulled or damaged my hair when styling, I can achieve the look I want without overheating my hair. My hair is long and naturally frizzy; wave curl diffuser removes frizz and gives my hair a smooth finish. This is a fun attachment for styling experimentation but expect a bit of a learning curve when initially using Dome mode especially. I do like that I can dry my hair faster with this attachment allowing me extra time to style my hair in the morning. AFDD Wave Diffuser is priced less than the Shark Diffuser and is a much more versatile styling attachment. Very good product, recommend.

Great addition to the Flexstyle!
This diffuser is such a unique concept with its dual modes. It fit my Shark Flexstyle perfectly and provided a nice, even airflow. The comb diffuser snaps right into the main dome and works well for really getting into your clean hair to lift and dry. The dome mode works well to create gentle waves on hair that maybe needs a little less scrunching. My hair is medium length and slightly wavy, but can be coaxed into more defined waves with the right products and a diffuser. Both modes produced nice, frizz-free waves for me. Overall, this is a really nice addition to the Flexstyle system. It feels high quality and I daresay it performs better than the Shark branded diffuser that came with my dryer!

Like the original and amazing for defined frizz-free curls
As someone with frizzy curls, this Shark dupe diffuser attachment for the FlexStyle dryer has been amazing for my hair. It doesn’t blow the hair around violently like some dryers do, instead it dries it much more smoothly and gently, which has really helped reduce frizz. My curls look more defined and last longer when I use it. It’s also really quick and easy to use, which is a big bonus because air drying takes forever. Overall, it’s made styling my curls so much easier and gives much better results. Much cheaper than the original Shark diffuser too, but works really well.

When I bought my shark flexstyler I was so annoyed it didn’t come with a diffuser as I share it with my daughter and she has a big curly mane of hair,when you pay thst much for something you want all the attachments to come with it and it feels like robbery that you have to buy them as “add ons”! I simply refused to buy any and we have just been making do with her hair ever since,and then this popped up and I was like “okay okay” and had to get it for her! And wow I’m not disappointed because yes it’s a diffuser but it’s also got a dome which takes more of the hair for looser waves when the diffuser is for way more curly curls and the results are amazing! The shark style is a powerful thing and it takes a while to learn how to handle it but when you do I rate it better than the Dyson any day of the week! This clicked on perfectly and my daughter couldn’t wait to use it! It took a few minutes for her to grasp how it works and then she was well away and 15 minutes later she had a head full of bouncy curls! She didn’t like the way it looked but thats because she’s never had her hair diffused before but I promised her she would get used to it and will be able to master it in no time!Final thoughts?Fits like a dream and clips on nicely but make sure you check you have the right model before buying! Feels good quality and well made and the colour is spot on. It’s very easy to use once you get the hang of it but you do have to take your time when drying to avoid it getting mega frizzy! I think the price is correct and at the time of writing this it is on a bit of a sale!

Great diffuser attachment
Im very impressed with this attachments. It fits on the shark hairdryer that I have (flexstyle) perfectly. It is not loose at all, it gives a satisfying click and is in place.The quality is brilliant, which I am so pleased about as some attachments you can buy are awful! This one looks like it could have come with the hairdryer!It has the main diffuser with prongs and then the middle part is removable so you can use the dome part for waves also.I tried both on myself and my daughter. My hair is short and wavy and hers is long and curly. It was brilliant for both. Im so impressed!Amazing drying time even on a lower and cooler setting a d once you have got the hang of it it is so easy to use.Great value for money too for an add on attachment, as they can be quite pricy. As I write this it was showing as £22 with a voucher available.

Works fine… when it stays on the styler
Having paid several hundred pounds for my Shark FlexStyle, I did find it disappointing that it didn’t come with a diffuser… not that there was any suggestion that it did, of course. I actually tried to buy one from Shark (at almost 30% more than this one costs) but when it arrived, despite being listed for the FlexStyle, it was actually for the SpeedStyle. After ringing Shark, and getting nowhere with them (it seems that it’s the only diffuser they sell separately), I returned it, and resigned myself to not having one at all. And then I got this one from AFDD.I’m reasonably impressed with it; it fits my FlexStyle, and dries my thick and curly (and very long) mane really fast. And there’s no frizz, either. The diffuser is very well-made, and attaches really easily to my styler; unfortunately, unlike the other attachments I have (including AFDD’s large volumising brush), this diffuser does not lock into place. Although it does push the lock button down, it can easily be detached without releasing the lock. In fact, a couple of times, it’s actually come off by itself while in use.That said, when it does stay on the styler, airflow is great… although I have no idea how it compares to the Shark one that’s included in one of their FlexStyle bundles.One other thing to note is that this diffuser is for the stone-coloured styler (HD436) – mine is teal (HD456), so the two don’t match.Anyway, I’m generally pleased with it but I’d be a good deal happier if it actually locked into place, and was more secure.
