Takes a while to learn how to use
I’ll start with I don’t think I have the right hair type for this attachment. I feel this would work better on someone with a thick mane versus my very thin fine hair. I couldn’t get the attachment to pick up enough hair to really work with. Now, if you have the right hair type, I think this would be perfect. It is very easy to switch direction depending on which side you are working on. The attachment concentrates the airflow into a blade like shape to provide fast drying. With the concentrating, the attachment really allows the air to get down to your roots easily. I am going to keep working with it because I love the way it functions and the build quality is great.

Every single time I use my Shark FlexStyle, I start with this tool. It has completely changed the way I dry and style my hair because the root lift and smooth volume it creates is honestly incredible.This tool really gets into the roots and gives that effortless lifted look without leaving the hair frizzy or puffed out. The volume looks smooth, polished, and natural rather than overly teased or stiff.It snaps perfectly into my FlexStyle and feels very secure while using it. Attaching and removing it is quick and easy, which I appreciate because I switch attachments often while styling.One thing I noticed immediately is how much smoother it makes my hair compared to regular comb attachments. The extra side bristles create better tension while drying, which helps stretch and smooth the hair beautifully while reducing frizz.The rotatable barrel is another brilliant feature because it allows you to adjust the airflow depending on what you are doing. You can switch between stronger airflow for faster drying or more targeted airflow for precise styling and section work. Good quality and fits well on my Flex Style
I debated whether to take a star off on this product or not. Because overall it is well made and fits my Shark Flex style exactly as it should. I probably should have thought through how this would work with my hair before I got it but this is one of those things you can’t really determine if it will work well with your hair without trying it yourself in my opinion. I have fine, medium density hair and I don’t think my hair type is the best fit for this. I can see if you have thick or coarse curly hair how the cone side could help stretch out and straighten the hair better than a typical attachment. But on my hair, there’s not enough grip to accomplish much. But again, I don’t think I hear type is what this is targeted to. It looks solid when it’s attached to my Flex Style and it’s easy enough to use – especially if your hair is the right type. It’s hard like most of the attachments that go with my Flex style – but I wouldn’t expect it to be soft.

Super useful and feels like a name-brand attachment!
I love this tool! It’s such a unique attachment for the FlexStyle that works well for adding volume to styles. It’s very high quality and durable; it feels just like the parts that come with the original device and is 100% compatible with it — it fits the machine perfectly. There’s a bit of a learning curve at first, but I found it pretty easy to use after about 5-10 minutes of practice. For the quality and usefulness, this is a fantastic value for the money.

Confusing purpose
Unless I’m super using this wrong, I’m not understanding the purpose of this attachment. For me, it doesn’t do anything a shorter attachment wouldn’t. It kind of just gets in the way because of how long the teeth are. It does attach and fit perfectly to the Shark and the quality is very similar in feel to the official attachments. It’s not so easy to use for me. The quality is good, though, and durable too!

This is a good value for a good quality comb attachment for some (but not all) Shark Flexstyle models.How well you are going to like it is going to depend on your hair type, length, use technique and expectations.It works well as a standard comb attachment. However, if like me you hoped that the side opposite the comb could be used like a brush to wrap or pull the hair through that area, it doesn’t work well, really at all for that.There are the long, standard comb tines on one side. On the opposite side there appear to be some very short bristles. In person, during use they are not that usable at all and I’m really not sure why they are even there, because you can’t use them very easily or well.The airflow comes out between the tines of the comb. The airflow is strong and it does flow well. But there is no airflow on the tiny, unusable bristles on the other side.I attempted to wrap my hair on the bristles while using the comb and it was difficult to do. The airflow from the comb opposite the tiny, not that usable bristles caused frizz as it was going upward.If you just want it as a standard comb on one side, the longer comb side, it does work well if you have the right hair type and technique.The main comb tines are a good length, have good spacing and do have a good feel on the hair. The tension is good but not too tight and the comb tines don’t feel overly sharp during use.But if you were hoping to use it like a comb on one side and brush on the other side vs a standard comb, it does not at all work well that way. I wouldn’t even consider the bristle part opposite the comb usable. It has no advantage there over as standard comb without the bristles on the opposite side.It says rotatable barrel and flexible airflow. I couldn’t see any way to move or adjust the airflow from between the main comb area where it flowed. I twisted but it didn’t seem to adjust. The comb moved, but the airflow was the same. Some combs do not move, this one does. I think it’s more for comfort and angle during use vs changing or adjusting the airflow area.It did fit my first generation Shark FlexStyle well with no issues. It was easy to put on and remove and was a good fit.They list which Shark FlexStyle and product models it will and will not fit in the listing details and pictures. You will need to be sure it will fit your model. No base model is included, this is just an accessory for your own Shark FlexStyle base.I didn’t notice any odor or overheating during use. The comb has no odor and I would consider it safe for those sensitive to scents and odors.

Best suited for thick curly hair
This wide-tooth tension comb is another great styling attachment from the Chivixe brand. I’ve used a few of their attachments before, and they’ve always felt well-made and come at a great price. This one is easy to use and clicks securely onto the Shark FlexStyle, fits properly, and doesn’t feel loose or wobbly during use. The material also feels sturdy and polished, very similar to the attachments that come with the Shark, so it doesn’t come across as cheap or flimsy.I have fine hair with some natural wave, and for my hair type, it gave a bit of smoothing and helped stretch out my wave slightly. That said, I don’t think fine hair is really the main target for this attachment. I can see it being much more useful for thicker, curly, coily, or textured hair, where extra tension while drying and styling would make a bigger difference.I’d describe this more as a stretch-and-smooth attachment than a true straightener. It won’t replace a flat iron if you want pin-straight hair. But it does help smooth, stretch, and create more of a blown-out look. It works best when used in sections, letting the teeth create tension while the airflow dries the hair.The wide teeth glided through my hair nicely and didn’t snag. The side bristles add a little extra grip, which helps create tension without feeling rough. For fine or mostly straight hair, this may not be a must-have, but for thicker curls or coils, I think it could be a very helpful attachment.
