Some good, some bad but for the price as a whole- WORTH IT!
Okay so for the amount of stuff you get, this is a really really good deal. The clips are such good quality that even if this kit ONLY had the clips, at $7.99- I’d say score!!!Instead you get brushes, bowls, mixing spatulas, and gloves. They also throw in ear covers but I have never used those before so I tossed them, and because thus kit goes for so little it wasn’t even a big deal!As mentioned, the clips are GREAT. The gloves are also really good. I wouldn’t call them reusable but they are alot thicker than the clear gloves you get in a hairdye box. I recommend putting a bit of baby powder inside the glove prior to applying color. This way you can slide the glove off when youre done and easily slide them back on when you need to go back to the coloring.The bowls are pretty cheap. The biggest problem i had is that both bowls had a small little nub underneath the direct middle bottom of the bowl. Obviously something that happens in production but it leaves you with a bowl that wobbles and there is nothing fun about a wobbly bowl while coloring hair. The color brushes are good. I skipped out on using the ones with the comb attatched as I have never used a combined set before. A very inventive idea and i will be trying them soon.The mixing spatulas were a bit silly. They appear to be a whisk in the photo but what you get is a flat whisk, its not 3d. Whisks are great to use when mixing colors but since this is only “half” the whisk, its the same as mixing with the color brush really. There is no difference in my opinion. The “whisks” are very much useless.Overall, even with its flaws this set is STILL worth the money being spent. Its great even if youre just using this set one time. Keep the clips! Theyre great for thicker hair and the clips here are of great quality!Yes I will be recommending and I would buy again if Im ever in a pinch!

The only set of hair dye bowls I could find on amazon that weren’t collapsible. If you lean your dye brush on the collapsible ones the wrong way you end up with hair dye EVERYWHERE. These were perfect and specifically bought for the bowls, the extra stuff was a bonus. Bowls also have measurements on the insides. I used green, purple and red dyes in both bowls and there’s no staining. I did try out the brushes, they held up well but are very thin compared to ones bought at a beauty supply store. All in all good for the money.

I ordered this because I do my own color at home and I kept contaminating my toner bowl with bleach residue and ruining the whole process. The kit comes with two separate sets, one pink and one black, and the color coding is genuinely useful when my hands are covered in gloves and I am moving fast. The bowls have ml markings on the inside and the whisks are sturdier than I expected. The Y-shaped brushes feel solid and the double sided tint brushes with the comb end are the pieces I reach for most.The 24 piece count sounds impressive but some of it is disposable capes and caps that feel more like padding the number than filling a real gap in the kit. Four of each is fine but it does make the set feel a little inflated. The ear covers are flexible and actually stay put which is more than I can say for the flimsy ones I have tried before. The alligator clips are basic but functional and the gloves run a little large so I keep a separate pair of my own on hand.My cat has already batted one of the whisks under the bathroom vanity so the count is effectively 23 pieces now.

A Smart, Affordable Home Hair Coloring Kit That Covers All the Bases
My wife colors her hair at home regularly and this kit has become her go-to setup for keeping the process organized. The dual color-coded tool sets, pink and black, are genuinely useful for keeping bleach and toner separate without stopping mid-process to wash everything out. The bowls have measurement markings inside which helps when mixing according to product instructions, and they’re sturdy enough that they don’t wobble or tip when you lean a brush against them. The alligator clips are the standout item, strong enough to hold thick hair in sections without slipping, which alone is worth a significant portion of the price. A few things worth knowing: the gloves run large so a separate pair may be more comfortable, the flat whisks are more like mixing paddles than true whisks so don’t expect much from those, and the disposable capes and caps are thin single-use items rather than anything reusable. At under ten dollars for the full kit the value is hard to argue with, especially since the clips and bowls alone would cost nearly as much bought separately.

This is definitely a ‘get what you pay for’ sort of quality set – but for the price and what it is, it’s decent.If you’re learning to dye your own hair (or your family) and aren’t exactly sure what implements you need/want, this is a good way to try out a variety of items to get a feel for what options are available, and if you do want a particular tool if you would want one with a different configuration.I do like that the set comes with separate tools for bleaching and dying. However, that said, the tools are generally low-quality plastic that likely won’t last through more than a few uses at most (I snapped one of the combs while attempting to use it to comb dye through my hair). The capes are also very thin single-use plastic – picture included.That said, the gloves are decent weight and will work for multiple uses. They have texture on the palm side. Also, the hair clips – while also generally low-quality plastic – are quite sturdy. I was able to hold up my long hair with them without issue while dying the underlayer. I’m quite impressed with how well they functioned.Overall, if this kit were any more expensive it definitely wouldn’t be worth it, but for the price ($8.99 on sale, $9.99 full retail price as of the posting of this review) it’s a decent value for those who are considering more expensive dying tools but aren’t sure what they actually need to invest in.
