Firm to grasp, with ability to contour to nails.
The size and shape of these nail buffer blocks are perfect and offer a comfortable hold when smoothing out my gel builder compared to bulkier larger blocks.The 80/100 grit is dense enough to effectively smooth out areas of buildup when I need to smooth out any uneven areas of gel. The sponge does offer some flexibility as it contours to the nail versus emery boards. There was no shedding or crumbling of material. Easy cleanup with a quick rinse and dry, which makes these longer lasting.While not a factor in quality, the presentation and storage box is nice.A good value for the money for 12 pieces.

Far nicer and more thoughfully designed than I expected
I needed a nail buffing block to remove a few ridges on one particular nail that developed them when I had a cuticle injury many years ago. Ever since then, the nail just hasn’t grown as smoothly as it used to. I was initially not too excited by this purchase, since after all, it’s just a nail block. But when it came, I was actually quite impressed. Let me therefore list the virtues of this innocuous yet impressively designed little gem.First, you get a set of 12 in a nice box that can be stored for when you need a new one. This is much better than just having them thrown into a bag. Still, I thought this was basically just presentation fluff, which while perhaps nice, did not change the fact that these things were just sandpaper on foam. But then I used one, and I understood that they are actually pretty special. Because while the grit on most buffing blocks like these comes off like flakes from a wood chipper, the grit on these actually STAYS ON. Yes, a few grains will come off at first, but then it is surprisingly sturdy. You can keep sanding and sanding until the grit is filled with powdered nail material, then wash it and reuse it. I am not sure how long you might keep this up, but I have already washed one block twice and it is still as good as new.Of course, the reusability in itself is great, but it is equally nice not to have to worry about getting particles of aluminum oxide or whatever grit they are using all over my bathroom or bedroom, since I don’t like that at all. Now, I don’t really have to worry about it.So let’s talk about performance. The blocks have three different grades of courseness, which can be used sequentially or not. The size of the blocks is exactly right. You might not need the coarsest grade unless you are doing nail shaping. After the finest grade, your nails will be just about as shiny as before the sanding process (i.e. natural looking). Personally, I would really like it if there were an extra fine option available, sine I like to buff my nails to a very high shine, and you can actually accomplish this with very fine sanding. If there were one thing I could change about these, that would be it. However I recognize that this might not be the best for many users, and particularly those that polish their nails. This is because if you make your nails too smooth, polish may peel off more easily. Therefore, if evening out your nails before a polish manicure is your own use case, these will be perfect for you.All in all, I think this is a deceptively simple product which in fact is the product of a great deal of thought and attention to detail, and I strongly appreciate that in today’s market of throwaway junk mentality. For the price, they are a great value. I highly recommend these, and will continue to purchase them myself.

What you’d expect! Great buffers for removing gel or smoothing natural nails.
Really happy with these nail buffers. They’re easy to use and give my nails a smooth, clean shine without a lot of effort. I like that it makes them look more polished and healthy without needing polish, especially when I just want a simple natural look. I also have used these to remove my existing gel polish, and was happy they were able to get the job done while also being gentle enough not to damage my nail plate and cuticles.It also feels like good quality and holds up well with regular use. I did take away one star because the corners are pretty sharp and did catch me in a few places if I wasn’t careful.

Good quality block files
These are always a great help when doing my nails and I keep a bunch on hand. The foam on the inside allows them to form around your nail better than regular nail files so you can get the edges. They are also much gentler on the cuticle area. They are also very useful for crafting. The price is also pretty good for the amount that you get.

Better than the average brand!
My tween and I do a lot of nail gels/acrylics at home and we are constantly going through cheap nail buffers that fall apart, and we hadn’t tried this brand before but I’m so glad that I did!This is a great set of 13 3-way nail buffers when you compare it to other brands, as others only include 8 to 10 of them at the same price point. The grit on one side is 80 and is 100 on the other, so you can easily switch sides depending on the level of fine grit that you need to be working with. The grit stays in tact with no ripping or falling off, and the blocks are soft and very easy to hold and maneuver at all angles as they’re slightly narrower than a traditional block that’s usually a bit wider. They buff out, file and smooth acrylic, gel and dip edges and nail beds very, very well and they leave my nails smooth and clean with no jagged or bumpy ridges or edges every time with very little effort. If you’re a DIY/at home nail enthusiast or a nail professional – you will not be disappointed with the quality or longevity of these buffers!

I usually stick to flat crystal nail files, but I found them slow and tiring when removing gel polish, so I decided to try this 3 Way Nail Buffer Block set. The set comes with 12 blocks, which is a great value, and it arrived in a cute, professional-looking box. Each block has a three-sided design with sandpaper on each side and a soft orange sponge surface on the bottom.The 80/100 grit works really quickly, making it perfect for shaping nail length or thinning out gel polish before soak-off. I wouldn’t use it on bare nails since it’s too coarse and can leave noticeable marks, but it’s very handy for prepping gel or acrylic.The blocks are small enough for good control, and they felt really comfortable to use while filing gel polish over my nail dust collector. They’re much easier to handle than bulkier standard buffers, and I like that the sandpaper doesn’t shed or crumble much.
