A solid alternative with a longer barrel
I’ve got this item via Vine program. I decided to get this for my wife, and she tried this bidirectional curling attachment for my Dyson, and the first thing that impressed her was the barrel length, which is noticeably longer than the original attachments. This extra length makes it much easier to handle long hair, although it did take her a few tries to get the technique down. The quality feels surprisingly good, and I really like how simple it is to switch the airflow direction without having to swap out the entire piece.While it performs well and creates nice curls, there are a couple of small differences in build and feel compared to the original Dyson version. It doesn’t quite have that same premium “click” or finish, but for the price and the convenience of the longer barrel, it’s a very practical upgrade. If you have long hair and find the standard barrels too short, this is definitely a helpful addition to your styling kit. Overall, for the price, it’s a decent option, and I would probably buy it again.

Almost just like the original Dyson brand barrel, with a couple of small differences
I love my Dyson AirWrap so much that I just bought a second one during the Black Friday sale to have as a backup and for traveling. I am currently dealing with frozen shoulder, and this device has been a lifesaver. I can’t risk going without it right now! The newer model I just bought didn’t come with the 1.2″ straight barrel and Dyson was out of stock in this barrel to purchase separately. I decided to give this dupe a try.This barrel looks identical to my original, with one exception. Both the original Dyson barrel and this barrel measure approximately 4.25” in circumference at the base of the barrel. Both barrels narrow slightly from the base to the rest of the barrel. This barrel doesn’t narrow as much as the original and the circumference of the main shaft of this barrel is .25” larger than the original Dyson barrel. If you look closely at the side-by-side picture, you will see that there is more of a curve from the base of the barrel up to the main shaft on the original Dyson barrel. The difference is subtle and for most people it won’t make a noticeable difference in the curl achieved by using this barrel instead of the original. This difference will impact those with shorter hair more so than those with longer hair.The plastic feels the same and just as durable as the original. The barrel weight feels identical to and the rotating cool tip functions identically to the original. Visually, I can’t tell the difference between the two barrels if not for the difference in color and the subtle difference in diameter. One other difference I found between the two is that this barrel doesn’t pop on my AirWrap quite as easily. It takes a little more effort, but not a lot. Other than this minor difference, this barrel is just as easy to use as the original.I normally use this size barrel when my hair is shoulder length or longer, but I had just had my hair cut when I received this barrel. I went ahead and tried using it. I used this barrel on the right side of my head and used my old barrel on the left side of my head so I could compare results side by side. I was pleasantly surprised that this barrel functioned just like the original, producing the same results. This barrel produced curls identical to the original and they lasted all day. I noticed no difference functionally in using this barrel vs. the original.When I ordered this barrel, it was priced at $23.99, which I consider reasonable, especially when compared to Dyson’s price for their 1.2” barrel.I removed one star from my rating due to the slightly more difficult time I have attaching it to the AirWrap and due to the slightly larger diameter of the main shaft of the barrel. But, given the reasonable price and the identical performance compared to the Dyson brand, I highly recommend this item. Dyson is so frequently out of stock on their AirWrap attachments, so there is no need for you to have to wait until they restock. This barrel will give you the same results.

I’m impressed!
I really like how long the barrel is on this bidirectional hair curling attachment! You can see the length of it compared to the curling attachments that came with the Dyson. It took me a minute to figure out the best way to use it on my long hair, but once I got the hang of it, it was easy to use. It curls my hair nicely and I’m impressed with the quality. I love how easy it is to change the direction of airflow!

Liwoowe bi-directional 1.2″ long hair barrel attachment gives similar results and saves packing room
The curls produced by this long hair barrel attachment are quite similar to the curls I get from using the attachments that came with my Dyson Airwrap, and the quality seems to be on par. I will say that the airflow isn’t quite the same. It does take a little bit longer to dry my hair using this wand since it doesn’t “grab” as much of my hair to curl as the original wand. The bi-directional ability is fantastic and very easy to use! I love that the end doesn’t get hot, allowing me to change the direction of the airflow without burning my fingers. This will definitely be the wand I take with me when traveling! If the airflow were just a bit stronger this would be 5 stars!
