Well-designed, well-manufactured, inherently beautiful and cut very smoothly.
I have several Baluca manicure devices and the build quality, resilience, clever design and materials used to fabricate them are all of the highest quality. Over time the Baluca clippers and other implements have been displacing older, old-fashioned, inferior tools.These curved cuticle scissors are no exception. I had an older pair of them for many years but they were made from much lighter (thinner) and softer metal. The base metals wa plated with chrome that looked good but the soft core caused them to perform poorly. Recently the older ones have started cutting incorrectly as the central rivet loosened and the scissors lost some of the precision of cutting.The Baluca scissors are much more robust, heavier stainless steel metal and a harder material. They cut so much easier than the old ones! They feel natural in your hand and operate very smoothly to cut evenly. It is hard to compare them because they are so much stronger and better performing than the old scissors.Only thing I do not like is the soft plastic point protector does not stay on the end of the scissors. It keeps falling off, thus does not protect the tip very well.Aside from that one issue, these are very well-designed, manufactured, are inherently beautiful and cut very smoothly. The $10 cost is reasonable given the excellent characteristics and strength of these scissors.

I picked up these BALUCA “ultra sharp, precision, professional” nail scissors fully convinced I was about to enter my at-home nail tech era. You know—the kind where I casually tidy my cuticles while sipping coffee and somehow look put together. Reality? I now understand why professionals exist.First, these scissors are tiny. Not “cute and precise” tiny—more like “did I accidentally order the travel-size version for ants?” tiny. I felt like I needed a magnifying glass, a ring light, and the hand stability of a brain surgeon just to get started.Now let’s talk about the “ultra sharp” claim… oh, it’s true. These things are sharp in a very respect me or else kind of way. One wrong move and suddenly you’re having a serious conversation with yourself about your life choices. It definitely kept things exciting—like a mini adrenaline rush during what should be a relaxing self-care moment.The curved tip sounded promising, like it would hug my cuticles and make everything effortless. Instead, it was more of a “let’s figure this out together” situation. Is there is a better way?
These curved cuticle scissors work well for nails. However, what I need is something for my toenails. Obviously, they’re not heavy duties. On the same web page, there are some heavy-duty toenail clippers. And I already have some similar clippers, but they don’t work well for me.At my age, I cannot bend very low, and my eyesight is not that good. Besides, my fingers are not strong enough to cut thick toenails. So far, I don’t want others to do it for me. Is there a better way?I have a Fanttik F2 Monster rotary tool from last Christmas and have used it for some of my home projects. Several months ago, I saw an electric nail trimmer on Amazon, and I knew it would not work well. So, I thought, why not use my rotary tool for toenails? Today I gave it a try.Since the rotary tool is about 18cm long and easy to hold, it helps me react to the toenails. In addition to ingrown toenails, some of my toenails do not look good, and need to be cut. A clipper simply cannot do that. The rotary tool can sand them away little by little, with a variety of bits to choose from. As the bit speed is adjustable, it will not hurt the toenail, if I handle it carefully.Now, this is the operation I can do weekly, not too difficult, and I hope that I will treat my toenails for more years.

I’m giving these BALUCA Extra Fine Curved Nail Scissors 4 stars because they are undeniably high quality—but they didn’t quite match how I expected to use them.First off, these scissors are very sharp. You can feel it immediately. The blades glide smoothly and give that clean, precise “snip” the product description talks about. Build quality is also excellent—the stainless steel feels sturdy, the finish is nice, and they have a good weight without being too heavy. They definitely don’t feel cheap.That said, I personally wouldn’t use these for cutting fingernails or toenails. VERY impressive
Growing up we used nail scissors instead of clippers and once I tried the clippers I never went back. The scissors were a bit difficult to control and would not always cut cleanly, especially as they got older. Now I’m old and have to deal with a couple replacement nails that are thick and difficult to cut. These scissors are amazing. If only they were always like this. Very beefy without bulk and very precise, no play at the hinge making the blades separate. And they are uncomfortable for my hands either. Good for those gnarly thick nails you may have. I really like these and will likely check out some of the maker’s other products as well! The price is really good.
