    Little Golden Nugget

    I never knew I needed this little golden nugget. It works very well! It gets the edges and neckline better than the hot combs from my childhood because of the curve. And yes, it gets HOT! People will think you have a relaxer. She’s a keeper!

Il vous fera vivre de la nostalgie…Premièrement, la chaleur est reglable donc, vous allez eviter de “bruler” vos cheveux ; commencer par une chaleur base et augmenter au besoin, dependemment de la texture du cheveux et de celle que vous voulez obtenir.Faire attention de ne pas peigner vos cheveux et assurer vous que les cheveux soient demelées et utiliser un protecteur de chaleur.Une fois que les cheveux sont demelés, installer le peigne protecteur ; ce dernier sert a eviter de bruler vos racines. Vos pouvez utiliser le dos du fer, avec le peigne noir afin de preparer votre mèche; cette tecnique sert a ramollir votre pellicule de cheveux avant d’utiliser le fer.Pour eviter les blessures, le fer s’eteint apres 1 heure.

    Better than flat iron. Good for ALL hair!

    Im not African American and my family is pretty mixed with different types of hair. So far, I’ve used this on my hair (Asian hair that tends to get fizzy) and 2 of my daughters’ hairs (tight curls and big curls). And it has worked perfectly on all our hair. It heats up super quick and gets super hot. Love that the on/off button is not easy to accidentally push- this is probably the first time I’ve used a straightener and not accidentally turned it off. lol The metal comb is very light- definitely nowhere as thick and heavy as traditional hot combs. And the entire unit is fairly light, mostly made of plastic. The anti-scald part is made of plastic and surprisingly didnt melt on that super hot comb.What I love about this vs modern straighteners is that it combs right through your hair and straightening as it passes. With my daughter’s very tight curls, flat irons tend to flatten her hair first and then straightens it as she swipes even more. This straightened her hair so much faster (without flattening it). All of our hairs came out bone straight and looked and felt sooo much healthier… almost silky.Traditional hot combs are praised for how straight it can get one’s hair but I was always afraid of handling them. I remember having to place it on the stove first and heating it up. This electric hot comb eliminates that daunting task. There are 3 things I recommend: 1. Use the anti-scolding accessory if you are straightening close to the roots. 2. Get one of those gloves for flat irons- I have a few that Im glad I didnt throw it away. I dont feel like flat irons really need that but this one definitely does. 3. Get a silicone mat to place this on top of. Even though it has a stand built into it, with the hot iron exposed like that, it’s better to be safe than sorry. IT GETS SUPER HOT and might burn your desk if you’re not careful. 4. COMB/BRUSH your hair before using this for a smoother process.Great quality! Works well. Lighter and smaller than traditional hot combs so easy to travel with; Has dual voltage so Ideal for travel to other countries; VERY EFFECTIVE and doesnt burn our hair. And so far, the paint on the comb has not peeled or bubbled. The gold paint on the comb has not peeled nor bubbled even when put on the highest setting.Overall, Im super happy with this and prefer this over flat irons. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

These are my honest and unbiased thoughts after real use, not just a quick try and done. Within about 30 seconds, it was already heating up. The handle has a simple control button that cycles through three heat levels, starting around 400°F and going up to 500°F.There is a short auto lock feature that kicks in after a few minutes of no button use, which initially confused me, but once I realized you just double click to unlock, it made sense. The comb itself feels balanced and not awkward in the hand, even when working near the scalp.The Performance:I tested this on freshly stretched natural hair that is thick and does not easily lay flat at the roots. On the highest setting, the comb smoothed my crown and edges with one slow pass per section. There was no dragging or snagging, and the heat felt evenly distributed across the ceramic teeth.I also used it on a synthetic blend lace front wig to flatten the part and hairline.
