It doesn’t smell like Emus, but it works great for dry hands!
I had never heard of emu oil before, I’m not even going to lie I absolutely googled it to see if it was somehow made from Emus lol.What I like the most about it- it really does help my super dry skin. I’m 43 with that “middle age, mom of 4 kids, no skin care routine in years” type skin, and my hands are always extremely dry from constantly washing dishes multiple times a day, from constant hand washing, from constantly doing laundry and cleaning, my hands are always getting wet and coming into contact with different dish soaps, laundry soaps, cleaning products, and bath products from giving 4 kids each a bath every other night.The first time I used this lotion I could feel a difference! It soaks right in, there’s no leftover residue or film or greasy feeling, it feels great on your skin, and it has virtually no scent at all! Honestly this is the first lotion, cream, or skin product that ive ever used that has NO SMELL! not a hint of anythiing- and I LOVE that! I am not a typical female LOL- where I absolutely HATE any kind of scented anything.I’m very happy with this product- it makes your skin feel softer and more moisturized the very first time you use it. Ive only had mine for 4/5 days now and theres already a huge difference in the overall dryness of my hands- 4 days of using this lotion a few times a day my hands look and feel like completely different hands. They are no longer dry and rough looking, and my skin itself actually feels soft!

Great for helping to moisturize and no bad ingredients!
I have very sensitive skin along with lichen planus which is an autoimmune skin condition. I purchased this recently and I really like how creamy it is and it seems to help with my LP. Yes, you do need to wipe your palms to remove the excess but that’s not a problem for me. It lasts longer in my skin than most other body lotions.

Emu Joy Products Live Up to Their Promise
Love love all of Emu Joy products -Live up to their promise. My skin especially dry living in the desert, and the “Emu Oil Lotion” does the job! Non-sticky, somehow non-oily, and wonderfully moisturizing. I also use/love their lip balm, their “On the Go Stick” which fits perfectly in my purse for travel moisturizing on the spot, and their”Soothe My Skin” balm. I’m a fan and for good reason.

Light and Silky Feeling
I wasn’t sure what to expect from emu oil, but the consistency was somewhere between an oil and a cream. A little runny (not in a bad way) but very light feeling which I think is one of its best benefits. Normally for this kind of hydration/moisturizing, I usually only see heavy creams. I didn’t notice any scent at all. It starts off feeling like it will be greasy, but it absorbs pretty quickly and mostly just leaves my skin feeling soft. It was not at all sticky or tacky. I’ve used it a few times overnight with cotton gloves with good results. I think this would be great for sunburns or peeling skin as well. The product page refers to this as travel-sized a couple of different times, but I would call that inaccurate. Yes it is a small-ish bottle, but it is too big for carry-on liquid restrictions and it is not really purse-sized unless you are carrying one of those giant purses. Just seems like it is unnecessary to call this “travel” sized.That said, $30 for a bottle of lotion is really high in my opinion. I probably would not purchase this at that price.

Emu Oil Infused Hand Lotion – Deep Moisturizing Cream for Dry & Cracked Hands Skin Relief, 8 oz (brand Emu Joy): I was intrigued by the opportunity to try Emu oil lotion. I like that this is unscented, and it moisturizes my skin well. I do notice that the oils separate from the creams a bit, so it’s important to shake the bottle well before each use. It also leaves my skin feeling a little greasy/oily. That said, I still like it. I just use a small amount and make sure to rub it in very well to absorb and let it dry. I plan to use it on my feet before putting on socks (esp. at bedtime), or other areas where the greasiness won’t matter so much (so, not my hands). I especially appreciate that this is made in the United States by a small business.

Not the best quality
The first time I used this was a little disappointing because the lotion came out all separated. I don’t know of it’s the formula or maybe that I was sent an old bottle, but I have to make sure I shake it really well before every use so the oil and lotion doesn’t come out with separation. As far as the actual way it works on the skin, it’s not the best. I’ve tried a lot of emu oil products over the years so I did have a certain expectation, and this lotion unfortunately doesn’t provide much benefit to the skin. It kind of sits on top of the skin instead of rubbing in, and doesn’t make much difference when it does finally absorb (? not entirely sure if it ever does or if it just gets rubbed off by clothes and stuff eventually).
